Staying In Tonight?

Indeed and you probably are.

Broadsheet on the Telly returns at 9.30pm streaming LIVE above and on our YouTube channel.

Vanessa Foran writes:

Since you probably have already watched all the available Below Decks Mediterranean on the 4Player, why not tag in to Broadsheet on the Telly?

With the usual line up of back line players, Neil Curran, Jimmy Smyth and myself, PLUS this week’s special guest, former Fianna Fáil Minister, Conor Lenihan (top).

Conor will be talking us through his time as a Government Minister and the procedure around signing the Official Secrets Act (subject of  his latest article in The Village), what he thinks of the current Government, and what’s next for Fianna Fáil…

The very least you can do is to ask for his opinions on: (deep breath)

      Charlie Haughey
      Bertie Ahern
      Ray Burke
      Liam Lawlor
      Pee Flynn
      Beverly (whatever) Flynn
      John (The Bull) O’Donoghue
      Sean Doherty

Living in Russia, what’s it like?
Are he and Redacted still buddies?
His views on the state of journalism in Ireland.

Could you ask Conor if he’s willing to apologize for the disgusting ‘stick to the kebabs’ remark in the Dail. We’re still waiting for a sincere apology.

  2. True Story

I met Conor once. He was canvassing door to door in his constituency.
I was in my Grandmother’s house. She was ill in bed so I answered the door.

I explained this to him and told him I wouldn’t be able to vote for him even if I wanted to.
He replied, “But you will, won’t ye?”

The funny part of it is that he was being serious.

He looks a lot like Conor Lenihan but given his record, a name change was probably a good idea (“Conor Linehan”).
