Good to see that some Brits are complaining about the OTT coverage of the 99yo inbred whose death is of absolutely zero consequence to people. The BS veneration of so-called royals tells you that there is plenty wrong in the world. The brainwashing of people is sad.

Indeed. I like me a bit of dystopia. Maybe a bit too much ;)
I once read an article (can’t remember where) that put forward the idea that a large part of our media was obsessed with the end of the world.
They postulated it’s the reason so much of our film and TV shows are based around negative outcomes and plots with zombie / horror / virus outbreaks etc
Where in the 60’s -80’s, things were much more optimistic about the future (in general anyway)
Space shows about a hopeful future, like Star Trek etc. I’d also note that modern Star Trek is set in a weird futuristic and dystopian society. It’s brutal and not very hopeful at all.
Maybe it’s the reason that people have become obsessed with Covid. And that hopefully means we will see a resurgence of hope after this mess goes.

The UK has administered a new record daily number of second doses of the Covid-19 vaccine as the jabs rollout continues to run at a rate of nearly three million a week despite forecasts of a shortfall in supply over April.
Another 475,230 second doses were reported on Sunday – the third day in a row that the figure has beaten its previous record.
7,466,540 or 11.2% of the total population has now been fully vaccinated.
32,121,353 people, nearly half the total population, has received a single jab.

“People who are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 may be allowed to skip hotel quarantine if a digital vaccine certification is introduced, the Transport Minister has said.”
As predicted, vaccine passports are the endgame to the obvious ruse of mandatory quarantines and country red lists. And we seem to be ploughing ahead even as the narrative surrounding the passports is getting ever more incoherent
‘ “There’s still some concern with the health authorities that even post-vaccination, people may be transmissible, so they are cautious around that,” he said.
However, he said as Europe adapts “potentially a digital certificate in terms of whether someone is vaccinated, that might be another variation in terms of how [mandatory quarantine] is applied.” ‘
Eh, say what now?
‘The country (Israel) is to be removed from the list due to its successful vaccination programme which seems to be delivering a significant reduction in transmission of the virus, he said.’
A drop-off in Covid cases had been starting to occur in countries around the world before any vaccination programmes had time to have an effect. Various countries with comparatively little vaccine roll-out have seen a similar reduction in cases to those countries with higher vaccine roll out. What about the seasonal effect? Natural herd immunity?
Even if the vaccines do reduce transmission somewhat, digital vaccine passports are in no way a viable way to micro-manage the spread of so called ‘variants of concern’ – nor was hotel quarantining and closing off borders for that matter. It’s a fool’s errand.
It’s quite something to behold the spinelessness of politicians such as Ryan – and all the rest of them – regurgitating these politicised narratives to the public as they willingly try to guide us down the path towards a totalitarian tech dystopia, all the while telling us it’s for our own good.
Good to see that some Brits are complaining about the OTT coverage of the 99yo inbred whose death is of absolutely zero consequence to people. The BS veneration of so-called royals tells you that there is plenty wrong in the world. The brainwashing of people is sad.
