The Echo seem to have been a bit stuck for a front page headline story. You could create pretty much the exact same story for any county on any day ever!

It’s an odd piece of writing – laying out the services in detail as if it was a restaurant review. Given that it’s illegal to buy sex, calling them ‘punters’ is a bit lame.

Sounds like someone was caught looking at some dodgy websites and their excuse was they were “doing research” and then had to write an article.

although I fear being called a ratlicker, I’m pretty glad the issue of vaccination did not come up while I was still pregnant, I’m not antivax , I got my flu and whooping cough at 19 weeks but I can’t say I’d have been happy trialing a vacine on my unborn child, I was careful what moisturizer I used ffs, this seems a bit gung-ho.

That’s only natural. I think any woman in your position would have felt the same. Plus the reality is, for ethical reasons they cannot run vaccine trials on pregnant women so far as I know. There are too many variables in condition of the mother and the unborn. Add to that mRNA vaccines are brand new technology, this is the first time they have been in mass usage.

I totally understand. A few close friends were pregnant in 2009 during swine flu and had similar reservations.

FWIW their consensus was not to get the vaccine until after the baby was born, and rely on breast feeding to help the baby acquire immunity.

      It’s a tough one.

On the one hand I don’t know why we would stop someone leaving the country.

On the other, is there an onus to protect the other passengers on the flight? People are in quarantine for a reason – if they break that they are putting a flight-load of people at risk.

As apex predators we have squeezed all the wild things into a small space and set fire to it. A spectator sport with great photos.
