….The Cabinet has agreed to the reopening plan for the country throughout May and June.

Via RTÉ:

The Government has approved the plan that will allow people travel across the country from 10 May.

On the same day hairdressers will reopen, along with libraries, museums and galleries, and team sports training will also resume.

Up to 50 people will be allowed attend religious services including weddings, funerals and masses.

    I know people don’t always agree on Covid restrictions but I think we can all agree that we are truly blessed to have leaders with the vision, integrity and decisive thinking of Stephen Donnelly in power during this difficult time.

          While I would agree with you that we are NOT a police state.

          There is no actual definition of what a police state is

          A police state and a free state are both on the same sliding scale.

          With the former moving towards more government control via laws and the latter moving towards less control.

          So, the definition is of course subjective. So not moronic. We could indeed be moving towards a police state.

          Again, I disagree that we are. But I’ve been wrong before…
