3 vaccinated households can meet indoors.
    What?
If they are bloody vaccinated why can’t 300 or 3million vaccinated households meet indoors?????????
Explain that there to me Cian

    1. Cian

I don’t know where you live, but I wouldn’t fit 3million vaccinated households in my gaff.

But I don’t know why there is a limit. In theory there shouldn’t be restrictions on fully vaccinated people meeting other fully vaccinated people.

        1. Cian

Vaccines don’t offer 100% protection (this statement applies to *all* vaccines not just Covid)

Latest studies suggest AZ vaccine offers ~60% protection from you catching Covid (14 days) after 1st dose, up to ~80% (14 days) after the second dose.

If you are unlucky enough to catch Covid after you’ve been vaccinated there is a ~50% reduction in transmission (how likely you will pass it to others).

if my parents are now vacinated, why shouldn’t I go inside ?
they are deluded, whatever my views on the inconsistency of all messages, do they think people have been sticking to this ?

  3. Rapscallion

I suspect it may have to do with the idea that the vaccine isn’t 100% effective and that vaccinated people can still be carriers. Reduced contacts = reduced risk to the wider community.

    1. Mr. T

Even if vaccinated people can be carriers, they are at no risk from the virus whether they catch it or not.

      1. Broadbag

True, but if you have 10 vaccinated people meeting up in a confined space and one is carrying it, you may then have 10 carriers by the end of the meet up, these 10 are then out and about spreading it in the community, which then begs the question why are the vaccinated exempt from MHQ?

        1. ReproBertie

“these 10 are then out and about spreading it in the community”

The studies are ongoing but so far the results indicate that vaccinated people are not likely to be spreading it.

      2. Cian

“Even if vaccinated people can be carriers, they are at no risk from the virus whether they catch it or not.”

Not true; there is still a risk of infection if you are vaccinated. You are less likely to get Covid, but it is still possible.
You are, however, 50% less likely to transmit it to others.

To keep maintaining restrictions because we can’t be 100% vaccinated or 100% safe is absurd.
      Nothing is 100%

Our hospitals are stuffed to the gills with 153 Covid patients, surely it’s time to double-down on our efforts to torture & confuse the public with a set of New Normal Regulations that, I assume, most people just glided past (yes, you did). I assume this is the part of the Covid Operation (per the World Bank) where the idiot gofors in our government & health services allow some easing of the waterboarding regime, then dangle the experimental mRNA jibjabs & say “you can have 3 families from different etc all the time, just please have a jab, Klaus Schwab says if you don’t he’s not going to invite Simon Coveney to Davos, ever again..” Lots of people actually think “fully vaccinated” means 2 jabs but they weren’t paying attention when Bill Gates announced “The Decade Of Vaccines”, which STARTS with these 2. Soon enough they’ll roll out a new jab for every variant, despite the variants being 99.7% genetically identical & with identical clinical presentation. Given that one common Coronavirus is known to have 29 variants, cells in the bodies of the Lab Rats will have so many protein spikes, they’ll resemble hedgehogs. Time to corner the market in slugs?
