Elegy In The Streets

Sunday.

Donore Avenue, Dublin 8.

Pic by Harry Warren, who writes:

I admire the skill of the artist who cleverly painted in the same design upon the telephone pole on the right of the photo to match the main image.

Artist, anyone?

Well, passing that way today, I had another look at the mural and it now has a spot painted “sponsored by Donore Credit Union”. I didn’t see it tagged with an artists name but it would be nice to see them credited. I think it’s associated with the major development in the area http://www.donoreproject.ie

“They lived and laughed and loved and left.” is of course a fine quote from James Joyce, Finnegan’s Wake

Pretty sure I saw this being done on Vanessa Power/ Signs of Power’s Instagram account over the weekend. Top notch detailing

Why change the order of words?
“They lived and laughed and loved and left.” is a much nicer rhythmic sound to the ear
