I get the frustration.. horrible what’s happening, beyond awful. But this really doesn’t help. It just gives the virus another last ditch chance to inflict damage before the final hurdle.
2.3% of those tested have traces of covid DNA, the virus here to stay but is now no more fatal and life threatening than the Flu, and that’s a fact
Do you have a source for that fact?
*coughs pedantically*
Because otherwise I think we’d have to class that as an opinion.
that statement is the opposite of a fact. It’s a lie.
Urgh this chestnut is getting so old. Very very low risk of transmission outdoors
not as low as you think. governments are just saying that to make it seem as though they are gifting us the outdoors as a present, because they’ve closed everything else. its an attempt to appease. but still risky outdoors. sure its all over the world. the whole world didn’t just get it indoors. its licking through India outdoors.
Have you been to India ? Are you aware how social distancing is a luxury accessible only to the rich ?
I worked as a doctor in Mumbai for 2 years so I’m fully aware and it supports my argument that outdoors is also risky for spreading covid
interesting, it’s usually the other direction the doctors travel :)
So far, India has a lower cumulative fatality rate per million than UK, US, France, Germany and Canada and nowhere near as steep a rise as the first three. Of course there are those who say that India is not reporting properly but if that is the case- then who is?

India is also the leader in treating people at home early before they become seriously ill. They produce four fifths of the world’s supply of Hydroxychloroquine and, recently licensed Ivermectin for Covid-19 treatment. A suspicious mind might conclude that is the real reason for the western media’s recent hysterical coverage- who knows.
Their performance has been quite good given that unlike the others mentioned, the high numbers living in extreme poverty means there is little chance of social distancing or adequate sanitation.
they also do rituals to boost their immune system, where they cover themselves in cow dung which helps a lot
‘So far,’
Not according to your own link, as of May 16th.
‘A suspicious mind might conclude that is the real reason for the western media’s recent hysterical coverage’
A suspicious mind could always check what Indians are saying.

India’s rates are rising yes but they are also rolling out the drug promised to be the most effective against mild CoVid-19 disease. As I said they are nowhere near the others mentioned, despite having conditions which are perfect for a huge spike.
As for the suspicious mind- FDA emergency use is only allowed when there is no effective alternatives- does Ivermectin work? The Indian government seems to think so. I prefer to take my cue from the Indian media rather than the Guardian, thanks all the same.

‘Seem to think’ is now doing the same sort of heavy lifting in reference to the Indian government as it did for Trump, I see. Frankly, it comes across as a desperate measure with the fatalities climbing.

Smyths in particular worth a mention as they stock a rake of Israeli made toys….arts n crafts and fashion type playsets…..watch out for stuff made by Diamant Toys (Amav Ltd)
I saw that and was not happy to spot hp on the list as I bought one of their laptops lately.
Will ask my pharmacist not to give me Teva variants from now on.
And Sudocrem
