That result added a bit of fun to the night. Lots of Eurovision countries are not in the EU and they still got zero points. Lots of British migrants live in Oz and they still didn’t vote patriotically. I wouldn’t read too much politics into it, other than winding up Brexiters. I feel sorry for the singer.

Listened to the UK a few songs while making dinner. Jeez it was dreadful. Akin with Ireland’s entry, if you’re expecting a decent result, send someone who can actually sing well while performing. Anyways. Got a kick out of the Germans flipping us all the bird too. Switched over to Glastonbury after that then went back for the voting. It’s such a pantomime and the current voting mechanism is inspired.

Royouni nil pwoa. Even ya ya ding dong got more.

I have to laugh when I hear comments like this. A lot of Irish people seem to feel the need to have a go at the Brits to make them feel good. There must be some line to connect Charger Salmons into this but I can’t think of it!
I’m sure most of the people who put on posts like this support British soccer teams, watch mostly British TV, buy or read British papers, listen to British bands or artists, etc. I think there’s quite a bit of hypocrisy there.

I laugh when I read comments like yours tommy. Its our immaturity as a nation that feeds an insecurity which makes us overly critical of ourselves, ashamed of our history and too willing to swallow any oul narrative from our ‘betters’. It’s perfecty healthy to laugh at the mess the brits made for themselves. Its many things tommy but hypocrisy it isn’t.

Eurovision winner challenged on viral photo allegedly snorting cocaine during the contest. Rock & roll !

Oh no, I thought he had left Broadsheet. Would you just go away and leave us all alone Salmons. It was lovely here the last few weeks without you.

Just one point on the back of the HSE hack and the scaremongering about vaccine passports.

When hackers enter a system they usually do so under a full administrator account which means not only can they copy data but they can also write to it. There is usually no gain from doing so and the ‘as is’ data is assumed to be the commodity- but they would certainly have the permissions to do so, if they choose.

But bad and all is the idea of your personal health information being in the public domain is, passports are a different level altogether, because they could seriously curtail your ability to travel, work or if these tyrannical nutcases get their way, even shop. Knowing what we know now, would you be comfortable with the HSE being in control of such a system?

Not that I think it will ever really happen mind as the cracks are already beginning to show – Spain is to allow UK citizens in without quarantine or vaccine proof from next week- which is a really good sign that common sense, or more likely the power of tourist business revenue, will prevail.

In France, every citizen has a Carte Vitale which has a chip, and each time a prescription is filled the pharmacy swipes the card which holds lifelong medical data. It was discovered recently that half the pharmacies in France were transferring this data to the biggest medical data broker in the world IQVIA.
Without their knowledge, 40 million French people’s medical information was sold on.

I’d, seriously, be interested in a link please.
I live in France and gave heard not a whisper about this.

I love her too. She can do no wrong in my eyes. Even when she does stuff that’s ostensibly daft, such as being ordained a priest, she’s making a valid point and making it hilariously. ‘Who says women can’t be priests, try stopping me.’ Long may she flourish.

I see that the EHRC (Equality and Human Rights Commission) in the UK have dropped Stonewall and no longer want to have anything to do with them. As have the University of Essex with the Reindorf report showing that Stonewall were stating the law as they wanted to see it rather than what the actual law is. i.e. some might say that Stonwall were giving illegal advice… Founding members of Stonewall including Mathew Parris have left saying that there’s something seriously wrong with Stonewall.

I also see that in Germany and France , their MP’s have voted overwhelmingly against genduur self-ID as if Genduuur Recogniciton Certificates needed anything else to show them as being utterly worthless.

And another Stonewall favourite: Former President of Drag Queen Story Hour Foundation and Children’s Court Judge Arrested on Seven Counts of Child Porn… Surpise surprise suprise!

It’s been a good week and it’s only Monday :D
