Good to see the warm weather in California getting the attention it deserves.

That was a great game between England and Scotland, the Scots were terrific. A goal for them would of been sweet but still, what a great performance and such incredible fans. Come on the Tartan army!

Miriam says she’ll never run for President. The only decent political news in today’s papers.

The times headline about the hospital land is different to the one on their website which states ‘State offered to buy land for National Maternity Hospital from order of nuns”

That article goes on to inform us “On Thursday, Tánaiste Leo Varadkar raised concerns over other aspects of the plan, specifically over the lease for the lands and governance arrangements, saying a significant number of members of the board should be appointed by Government.”

Eh? Which government and ministers oversaw this? At what point did Varadkar realize he should be concerned – just now?

Nice to see Insurance Ireland’s practices being highlighted.

Now, on online quotes, should insurance companies be asking you which company you’re insured with – a question that needs to be answered? If you’ve answered all of their other questions, then why are they asking? Maybe there’s more information-sharing going on that we know of. (I always choose ‘other’ anyway, even if i’m insured with one of the listed ones as it’s none of their business).

The Children’s Hospital is proving to be an even bigger disaster. Just when you think the story couldn’t get any worse something new pops out.
I don’t know if it’s corruption or massive incompetence or both. But it’s a joke we will all be paying for for decades. Whilst the officials behind it will retire with a huge publicly funded pension and a golden handshake.

That’s odd alright. We are getting figures daily from Hooligan, yet according to Euromomo, “Ireland’s Health Service Executive (HSE) suffered a cyber-attack on 14th May 2021. Death registrations data have been unavailable since the cyber-attack. The HSE is working to resume all surveillance systems and data reporting.”

Yep. I meant to put that in.
Maybe they’re leaving it out as it skews their ‘totals’. I haven’t gone into monthly. Are they missing from there as well?

Ok so under the shadow of some of the most expensive flats in Dublin City Centre in Smithfield, we have Paul Murphy and the Mayor banging drums about loving being muzzled in the open air- or something.

Try getting into a gay techno club solo in Berlin without a grasp of the local lingo- meaning German- then come back to us eh?

“Hundreds of activists gather in Dublin to combat dangerous development of racism and hatred on social media”
