Ah Panti. Talks about human rights, but doesn’t allow her staff to form a union. Hypocrisy writ large.

When Rory talks about Panti he calls her ‘she’. When he talks in character as Panti he say ‘we women’. So yes, Rory he, Panti she. But as either Panti or Rory she/ he doesn’t like his/her employees unionizing.

I don’t know the details here, but over the years I’ve seen may examples of R.W. Emerson’s observation:

‘The louder he spoke of his honour, the faster we counted our spoons’

He’s one of those people I don’t like for no apparent reason. That fits in with my impression.

      1. Bitnboxy

I like him. Decent sort – articulate too. Riles up all the right people by his sheer existence.

Hah there’s a lesson in inherent bias there for u somewhere Lilly. Some self examination might not go astray.

Well, maybe consider that in 168 out of 195 countries same sex marriage is not legal.
In 60 countires being gay is a criminal offence.
In some countries being gay is punishable by death.
While this reality exists, I think pride is very important and I hope it continues.

Meanwhile, if anyone else has noticed, the road markings in the city have faded to potentially dangerous levels. There are Luas-critical yellow boxes which are in an awful state. Chu is all about the publicity sometimes.

We’ve had coloured crossings in my part of London for about 18 months, including a green zebra crossing and no lawsuits yet.

Lol. I’d say auld Giggz knows a thing or two about compo claims. A model plaintiff – well, sort of.

          Chortle.

Ah the narcissist gaslighter just can’t resist.
Not referring to yourself in the third person these days? Must be a penance trying not to succumb. But, as you showed a day or two ago, your narcissistic and gaslighting manner just cannot be controlled.
Many posters have the measure of you at this stage. Toddle along now.

        2. GiggidyGoo

This crossing is ajacent to an existing crossing. There are raised kerbs at each side.
I’m sure the ones you refer to are proper pedestrian crossings, laid properly, and adhere to construction rules.
          This one doesn’t.

That is a Disgraceful comment and attack on another poster. Unreal.
What was Charger Salmons removed for? Was he worse than Bitnboxy?

I always thought this was a great song for these issues. While very much about ‘being a man’. it is more about standing up for what you believe in. I have a very good friend who is gay. When he came out nervously he asked if I could accompany him to The George. No known gay friendly places at that time near us,

So I did, brought him in, did not buy him a beer as he does not drink, and got goosed on my way to the loo.

Somewhere in all of that, this song was playing, and I have to laugh when I hear it. Walk Tall:

It was my joy as his best man, many years later, to announce the toast “To the Groom and Groom!”

Pride, whatever it represented before, now appears to be mostly a bonanza of Virtue-Signalling by the people who gifted us 64 Billion in debt, laundering their reputation through a celebration of what is a mundane matter, whether you’re gay, straight, celibate or whatever. In the 21st year of the 21st century, it feels a bit tired & wall-to-wall with overweight straight people too but where I come from, it’s been going on much longer, since well before the ”Pride” brand was invented, then rented out to banks, so perhaps I should make allowances.
Dublin City Council virtue-signalling like this is a bit much to take for anyone who’s ever engaged with them, they really couldn’t organise a piss in a toilet, literally. If you’re ever in the foyer of their HQ bunker, keep an eye out for the lad wandering aimlessly around, clutching an overflowing manilla folder & with the wool from his jumper unravelling from the elbows. He clearly doesn’t work there although he probably is employed by the Council.
As for the perilous state of road markings in general, the Council will probably claim they’re letting them fade in order to combat Whiteness & I assume they got the rainbow colours all in the wrong order?

Panti really needs to see a hairdresser, or a vet if it growls at strangers, and by the looks of that dress, she’s back at the shoplifting again.

Eddie has took some wear out of that coat in fairness, it owes him no favours- a long way from joy riding around Muirhevna Mór- whaa?

Jesting obviously- best wishes to both. XX
