Is the person in charge of the Star formerly of the Daily Sport by any chance? That’s some level of mental there

“GB News boycott a threat to democracy” – These RWNJ’s love the free market but demand that the free market does not act when it threatens their media. If advertisers choose not to advertise, that is their choice.

Quite amusing to see all the tough, swaggering contrarians whining like disenchanted snowflakes when their feelings get hurted by bean munching libtards. Take away their posturing inanities and all they got is nothing.

Really?! I’m not paying that much attention these days. I though he was dead or between Dolly and Babs Pym learnt the lesson of self-aggrandizing slander and and trolling behind shonky online personas.

I’d suspected it was Charger for a while now. Just waiting for the volcano to erupt. Looks like it’s beginning.

And I wonder if his female persona has changed name too..

“Libtards”? A very popular word used by the banjo pickin knuckle draggers of the deep south. Is that you Leroy?

        1. Donald McCarthy

It was of course used ironically to expose the idiot posturing of morons who beat up on harmless hippies and child protesters but squeal when their own feelings are hurted. Not complicated but addresses my long held anxiety that I might, even inadvertently, say or write something that a stupid person could understand.

Must be killing him that he can’t break character now and tell us all how badly he was mistreated, the poor racist.

    2. SOQ

Is it a choice though? The Stop Funding Hate crew have been lobbying which obviously influenced some decisions- except Moneysupermarket has already back peddled and probably more to come.

Mixing politics and business does not end well because while you are attracting one demographic, you are usually alienating another. It’s great PR for GB News of course.

As a special gift, why not give your father a DIY DNA kit and have him prove he’s your father.

        1. Janet, dreams of an alternate universe

I love that word, gave me a chuckle before it sadly will likely be changed to front bottom bag or some such flippery

My tongue-in-cheek comment does illustrate a little discussed reality about the historic fiction of paternity in more cases than the dads-4-justice lads would care to acknowledge. A fiction that is more likely to be exposed now that medical science has advanced so much. Of course, as an anti-natalist I believe no life should be created without the express consent of sperm, ova and embryo. Deeply immoral to inflict a life guaranteed to end in death and with the possibility of significant pain and misery along the way, to play russian roulette with a prisoner of your own genetic prism. But that’s just me.

      1. Bonfire Starter

Well stop wanking then, you effing bell-end.

There’s no such thing as an ”anti-natalist”.
You just made that up, you willy-jockey ladypartbollocks.

          1. Papi

            Quite literally screaming daddy issues.
Someone didn’t get loved as a child. Or adult by the looks of it.

Published two days ago in The American Journal of Therapeutics, a well established peer-review journal. How much longer can institutions like the WHO and the EMA continue to drag their heels and dismiss the evidence?

“Ivermectīn for Prevention and Treatment of COVID-19 Infection
A Systematic Review, Meta-analysis, and Trial Sequential Analysis to Inform Clinical Guidelines

    ..Conclusions:

Moderate-certainty evidence finds that large reductions in COVID-19 deaths are possible using īvermectin. Using īvermectin early in the clinical course may reduce numbers progressing to severe disease. The apparent safety and low cost suggest that īvermectin is likely to have a significant impact on the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic globally.”

(edit: had to remove the link to the paper to get comment to appear. I recommend going to the website of The American Journal of Therapeutics and seeking it out)

Problem is- it a viable treatment is proven and accepted, will the emergency use for jabbers be pulled? There is huge money involved and those psychopaths don’t care how many lives are lost- they never did with AIDS, and I doubt if they have changed since then.

      1. f_lawless

That’s the nub of it alright. Since the early days of Covid-19, there was a concerted drive to both discredit and even ban any early-stage treatments while much of the world was kept under lockdown and told the coming vaccines were the only solution for opening up again.

Dr. Peter McCullough, author of the American Journal of Medicine’s most downloaded paper on Covid treatments, estimated that as much as 85% of Covid deaths could have been prevented if there had been less of a focus on vaccines and more on early preventive therapies.

I came across this description of the concept of “Systemic psychopathy”:

“Systemic psychopathy is the idea that an organisational culture can be so much influenced by the presence of conscience-free managers (i.e. corporate psychopaths) that the whole organisation begins to mimic those corporate psychopaths and to behave in a similarly unethical manner”

    2. LeftBank

Sorry but this meta-analysis is junk. All of the included studies are massively underpowered, do not compare the same treatment effects, dosing or populations and many of them are not published yet. All this shows is that the peer review process is easily gamed. To demonstrate a reasonable treatment effect you need a properly designed large RCT. The RECOVERY trial has been a phenomenal success and is one of the few useful trials in this space. I am not against the use of any medication to treat COVID, but we need properly designed RCTs, not this terrible quality of evidence.

      1. SOQ

Just step back for a min and consider what you are arguing.

A treatment with no long term studies against Ivermectin which for the most part has been proven to do no harm and, albeit on label, effective.

How are you going to look anyone in the eye again- assuming you live- when the opposition is coming from retired pharma scientists whom as far as we know, have no reason to lie?

      2. f_lawless

The RECOVERY trial? A phenomenal success? Sorry but I don’t think you’re on the level. Either that, or perhaps you’re not well enough informed?

,A year ago RECOVERY (sponsored by the Wellcome Trust and the Gates Foundation) was mired in scandal when it was exposed for conducting set-up-to-fail trials of hydroxychloroquine. Toxic doses of the drug were being administered to late-stage patients.

        https://www.lifesitenews.com/opinion/hcq-behe

“(Like the SOLIDARITY trials ran by the WHO) It also used 2400 mg of hydroxychloroquine in the first 24 hours for treatment of already very ill, hospitalized Covid-19 patients, a potentially lethal dose.

(Trial directors) Horby and Landry presented a number of arguments to reassure that the dosages were not toxic, not all of which stood up to further investigation. For example, they suggest that as no extra deaths had occurred in the first couple of days when the dosage was highest this was evidence that the dose was not fatal (see line 284). They ignored the crucial fact that hydroxychloroquine has a particularly long half-life, and cumulative dosing was the more relevant measure.

(French media outlet) FranceSoir concluded from their extremely detailed investigation of RECOVERY that many patients died of toxic overdoses of hydroxychloroquine rather than covid 19.”

The strategy is clear at this point when it comes to drugs/therapies that threaten Big Pharma profits:
        – Assert that the accumulative evidence from all other trials with positive results is sub-standard/ insufficient.
        – Design set-up-to-fail trials and declare them as being the definitive ones

Sometimes a comment can disappear for 3-4 hours before it displays? Its a very random thing and even if you post it again, it does catch it as a duplicate.

      1. f_lawless

At this stage I think there’s probably more to it than that. I first tried to post the same comment late yesterday evening. Disappeared straight away. Today I tried about 4 different versions of the comment – eg. removing the link, slightly changing the quote I took from the peer-reviewed study by using a few special characters (using ī instead of i, ӓ for a, etc). In between trying and failing to post the different versions I posted a “test comment” which posted no bother.

        1. Bodger

f_lawless, very strange, I found four of the same comment from you in the bin. Restored one of them there. Really not sure what is going on.

        2. Cian

The problem is broadsheet are toeing the official pro-lockdown, pro-vaccine line and are deleting the other stuff.

        3. Joe

Is the late stage paranoia kicking in yet? Apparently so based on your comments!
It all must be true then….
External actors can remove comments and duplicate posts as well as bin them all at Bill Gates command….paranoid eh? ;)

          1. SOQ

You have never worked with third part suppliers of underlying platforms Joe- nor security systems who take it upon themselves to decide who or what should be allowed.

But I do respect your commitment to broadsheet.ie- you whinge about right wing tin foil whateva at least twice a day.

Canada is the most advanced, regulated, tested consumer driven legislated cannabis market, products frequently recalled/pulled/never make it onto shelves.

‘Canadians purchased 109 million Canadian dollars ($87 million) worth of recreational cannabis edibles in 2020, the first full year they were available in the country, according to data recently published by Statistics Canada.’
    https://mjbizdaily.com/canadian-cannabis-edibles-sales-top-ca100-million-in-first-year/

Ireland where the war on drugs continues unabated, funded by the state and govt agencies who are hopelessly captured by industry.

‘At time FSAI chief executive Dr Pamela Byrne said THC was a toxic contaminate that should not be added to any food.

“Sweets containing cannabis components are being sold online or by other means. They are dangerous, particularly for young people and those with prior health conditions who may consume them unwittingly. People should only ever buy food from reputable sources and be sure they check the food labels,” said Dr Byrne.

“This new development is a sinister attempt to sell narcotics in the form of sweets and those involved are obviously not concerned about the consequences of these products getting into the hands of vulnerable people like children who could consume them unwittingly to the detriment of their health,” she added.‘

THC is not toxic, now Byrne on other hand who’s background is Aquatic Resource Management and a few years with pension collector, Commissioner Maire Geoghegan-Quinn.

I haven’t followed lock down procedures in Irl nor when you getting released, but if this is the level medical expertise,GET OUT.

The irish medical expert governing sale/consumption of hatless regulated, taxed edibles,it’s why you don’t have nice weed, ever occur her call for legislation,ah stop….

‘are dangerous, particularly for young people and those with prior health conditions ‘

Sinead O’Connor will last two weeks in the Sindo – before a slight is perceived and then she’s gone.

    1. Charlie

I’d guess she’ll eventually change her mind or walk away. I’d then expect a barrage of abuse on their editorial style and how both her creativity & integrity is being suppressed.

Interesting article by Mark Tighe in The Sunday Times on the watchdog’s bid to access John Delaney’s emails to his lawyer under the ‘crime/fraud exception’ to privileged communication.

It would be interesting to know if Jules Thomas thinks Ian Bailey was involved in Sophie Tuscan de Plantier’s death. I don’t suppose the Mail asked her after they’d finished hearing how happy her kids were that she’d ditched him?
