Over 340,000 Covid-19 vaccines were administered last week in Ireland, HSE CEO Paul Reid has said.

Mr Reid said that in excess of 52,000 vaccines were given on four of the the last seven days. On Thursday, 59,000 were administered, he said.

Yesterday, the Covid-19 vaccine registration portal opened to people in their 30s, starting with people aged 39.

Over 47,000 people aged 39 registered on this portal yesterday, according to Mr Reid

Via The Health Products Regulatory Authority (HPRA):

‘A total of 67 reports have been received describing an individual who was known to have been vaccinated and subsequently passed away. Of these, 58 were reported with an mRNA vaccine.

The remaining nine fatalities were related to adenoviral vector vaccines or brand unknown/not specified. The types of events reported mainly include fatalities often seen in the general population, such as those due to natural causes, progression of underlying disease.

In some cases, the individuals concerned tested positive for COVID-19. For a number of reports, the cause of death was unconfirmed at the time of reporting, with post mortem results awaited.

Reports describing a death are carefully reviewed. However, it can be expected that fatalities due to progression of underlying disease or natural causes will continue to occur, including following vaccination. This does not mean that the vaccine caused the deaths.

In January, the EMA undertook a specific review of reports of fatalities following mRNA vaccination, and did not identify a safety concern. In most cases, progression of (multiple) pre- existing diseases was considered a plausible explanation.’

Before the vaccine it was hysterical rantings of people not dying of covid, but with covid cos they would have died anyway. Now the conspiracy friendly declare vaccinated people who would have died anyway are dying because of the vaccine.

Did they test them for magneticism too, I wonder?

Interesting how the switch has been flipped.

When it was Covid-19 related, the figures were hyped and over counted to the point that where an admission had to be made.

Now, within an hour after being jabbed, someone could pass from a heart attack and the presumption is natural causes.

Oh what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive.

Luckily, there are coroners reports and autopsies when people die.
But I’m sure you’ll continue regardless in your simple deluded way, as long as it gets you some attention.
It seems to be all that’s left for broadsheet Bodger these days.

            Note about data from Ireland

Ireland’s Health Service Executive (HSE) suffered a cyber-attack on 14th May 2021. Death registrations data have been unavailable since the cyber-attack. The HSE is working to resume all surveillance systems and data reporting.

My granny got her 2nd dose of the Pfizer vaccine at the start of May. 2 weeks later she was in Beaumont hospital for a scheduled MRI scan. They had just started it when EVERY computer in the hospital went offline. Coincidence? I don’t think so!

      1. SOQ

Is the system for gathering vaccine data not outscored to PFH Technology? The staffing resources certainly are.

Can’t believe the flak that broadsheet Bodger is getting just for entertaining the idea of an opposing view. Surely just print the story and let us judge for ourselves. Poxy time to be a newspaper I guess.

    1. Cian

If the mainstream media is anti-Nazi should broadsheet Bodger be pro-Nazi? Print stories and let us judge for ourselves?

Not all situation have two equivalent sides.

Ciaran is a nice guy, I knew him years ago but he’s a cycling zealot a green party zealot and it would now seem he’s a Covid zealot.
What is it with zealots and their zealotry?
If Bodger posted more ‘bike stuff’ Ciaran would be up on Broadsheets leg like a dog with two winkies

      1. frank magnet guy

No worries. Play the ball not the man sham.
It’s you ‘insert username’ that for whatever reason what to shutdown debate and cancel discussion. It’s chilling and you’re a chilly creep. Stay cool

tip top. bashing someone because they dare to pipe up is really dark stuff. keep doing the right thing Bodger

    1. GiggidyGoo

But we should listen to Ciaran – after all he’s telling people to stop looking at broadsheet. Sure isn’t that the sign of a real intellectual? “I don’t like it, and you shouldn’t therefore” kind of attitude. Some gobpoo alright.

      1. Joe

Would you advocate the reading of lies arguing other races are sub species’?
Same as Broadsheet Bodger printing anti vax anti Covid garbage

        1. General Public

Poor little troll farm affiliate Joe.

Always trying to shame people, and always failing.

Your whinges are trully laughable at this stage.

So, is anyone getting calls from ‘Irish’ mobile numbers, with a recorded american-type computer generated accent telling them the call is from social welfare, or revenue? I’ve had 7 such calls today from 7 different numbers.
I won’t put the numbers here as I called two of them back, and they were ordinary people who hadn’t made any calls. It seems like these scammers are disguising their numbers by picking random valid mobile numbers.
A result of the HSE hack?

    1. Can a Da?

Got a load of them last week very annoying. Mostly claimed to be an Garda Siochana.

      1. Daisy Chainsaw

The mistake they make is the robotic voice sounds american. Bitta research would get them to use a good bogger accent and everybody* would be fooled.

        *Nobody

    2. SOQ

Yes I got one talking about Personal Protection Security numbers and legal proceedings but I though the accent was English. It was clearly pre-recorded but sometimes the digital synth sound is to do with a distant VOIP connection. The recording said press 1 but I never bothered, just blocked the number. Also two missed calls which I never followed up.

What sort of scam is it Giggs?

      1. GiggidyGoo

If you press 1, i think a human comes on looking for bank details. I didn’t press it either

Ha! Ha! Magnets …yeah. AstraZeneca has been banned in Italy because one Italys it’s top politicians’ 12 year grand daughter died due to getting the shot. On the CDC website 60 million doses of the J&J shot had to be destroyed due to being contaminated with….the AstraZeneca drug. How does that even happen? My point is you have no idea about what you are getting, you have no idea what information is going to come out down the road. It’s AsraZeneca today that is problematic but it might be all of them pretty soon. And if you are relying on Irish media (or media in general) for your info, then you are woefully underinformed regarding doctors ringing alarm bells, the suppression of safe drugs and the legal moves happening to stop the vax programs. I would at the very, very least hold off and wait and see, before getting jabbed. You cannot undo it once it’s done.

It is fair to say that the Broadsheet of today is most certainly not the Broadsheet of yore. Whereas the editorial line used to be progressive scepticism, it is now decidedly populist with the editorial line firmly in the grip of Bodger. The other usual contributors appear to have drifted away with just guest appearances from the remaining ones. (BS addz: Not true. Bodger’s views are his own and do not constitute the Broadsheet ‘editorial line’. Other contributors hold different, sometimes contradicting views but choose not to hammer them home, as it were.)

The undertone is now “you’re being lied to”, no matter what the subject matter. It is right and proper to question the effectiveness of lockdown, the pace of reopening etc but for me this line has been crossed with an amplification of those with a more conspiratorial (and opportunistic) take on the whole pandemic business. Perhaps Bodger (and it only appears to be Bodger running the show now) (BS adds: Again, not true. Neither Bodger nor Chompsky ‘runs the show’) might argue that these are the only folks raising their heads to question but I still find it astounding the willingness to overlook some of the serious flaws of character for which these folks are known.

Perhaps, like Trump, the populist swing might reap rewards and drive more traffic to Broadsheet (BS addz: sadly, the exact reverse is true. We are on our uppers) but it still feels somewhat strange for me to now occupy a very minority position, the complete opposite of where I was heretofore.

    1. Can a Da?

I think the real shift downhill is the increasing tolerance of those who serially bully and belittle other commenters here which wasn’t the case before. Case in point here.

But also the sort of tolerance of those cliques of people who think they ‘own’ the site. In the last few days alone there have been several silly-poo pile-on on various talented, witty and funny commenters, commenters whose posts’ quality were far more luminescent in general than the majority of those made by people who were denigrating the poster. Sad to see and sorry moderators if you find this rude as well, it’s just my tuppenny.
I still love, admire and respect you all very much.

    2. A Lovely Horst

I think your rant is as a result of you having posts removed. You made a disgusting, vile, attacking post to John F yesterday. You had no qualms crossing the line and thought you were a great man. Bodger BS removed the post but it was seen by many here. Do spare us your complaints. Sling your hook. Youre a disgrace.

      From the article:
Of the 700 physicians responding to an internet survey by the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS), nearly 60 percent said they were not “fully vaccinated” against COVID.

      Meanwhile…
“The Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS) is an ultra-right-wing non-profit association that promotes a range of scientifically discredited hypotheses, including the belief that HIV does not cause AIDS, that being gay reduces life expectancy, that there is a link between abortion and breast cancer, and that there is a causal relationship between vaccines and autism.”

        In the EU:
73.1% of HCW have been full vaccinated (median from 17 reporting countries)
93.9% of HCW have had at least one dose (median from 17 reporting countries)

  7. MoRhustyDilis

It still amazes me every day, reading comments here, on other forms and Twitter etc, just how keen and eager people really are to get the shot. Why? Peer pressure? Is it somehow cool to get to? Why oh why would someone still put this test medicine into their body? Do that not research what’s it in, what it does and the potential for future body damage?
If someone came up to you on the street and offered you a ‘clean drug’, would you take it without question? But because it’s big pharma people seem to trust beyond any doubt that they have the populations best interest at heart. Really, is this the same pharmaceutical companies who have been testing on Irish babies, and populations of other poorer continents for free and without remit?
Read up on pharmaceutical history for goodness sake, people read more of then ingredients on a can of soup that what they have been told to take for a virus they are highly unlikely to get and every less chance of becoming seriously ill or dying from.
It’s all about cash, nothing else.
To my dying day I’ll never understand this mentality.

    1. Kdoc

Yeah. I know some ageing rockers who have inhaled, swallowed and even injected all manner of illicit drugs, not knowing how, where, or who manufactured them. Yet they have grave reservations about a vaccine manufactured by recognised medical scientists in clear, clean laboratory settings. Now that’s a bit weird.

      1. General Public

The same ethical minded scientists who made thalidomide in the same glossy clean rooms, yeah??

          1. General Public

No Kdoc, your example above is a strawman.

However your follow up response shows how much of an ignoramus you are.
