Is anyone else just a bit uncomfortable with this? I understand in various settings showing this will be important but heading in for a pint. When we start all this craic when does it stop?

It’s the “New Normal”. “Papier Bitte” for the Digital Age, though don’t be surprised if we are soon encouraged/coerced into accepting new biometric digital IDs to access much of society. Pretty much exactly as predicted by the so-called conspiracy theorists.

If not explicitly stating, Paul Cunningham is certainly inferring that the EU Digital Cert is only about vaccinations- it is not.

An EU Digital COVID Certificate is a digital proof that a person has either

    – been vaccinated against COVID-19

    – received a negative test result or

    – recovered from COVID-19

So proof of a pervious infection or a test with a certain time frame is just as good and, given the PCR 40-45 cycles used here in Ireland, there will be quite a number of people who were actually negative. Extraordinary stuff.

Just wondering- where did that graphic come from- is it a mock up?

If a recent test is acceptable, I very much doubt if the EU Digital COVID Certificate will say “certificate of immunity”. All a test will do is show your status at a given time.

Of course the EU Digital COVID Certificate has been in pipe line long before CoVid-19- they are just using the current bug as an excuse to fast track the implementation.

that’s good to know, this is very misleading, a negative test means you can travel then

Yep. The EU has been clear from the start on that. Which is why people haven’t freaked out.

And I believe lots of countries in Europe (I think) take antigen tests. But you’ll still need a PCR to get back into this kip. :(

Same absence on the jabbing kids, old folks in nursing homes and reds under the hospital beds article…

The commie one yesterday was the best alright

“I hear your a communist now Mary?”

            Tumbleweeds…

Neither did I Janet- we have blanket propaganda that this is a vaccination cert when in fact- it is nothing of the sort.

It is at best disingenuous and at worse, downright deceitful. Or if you want get Nuremberg 2 about it- blatant coercion.
