Seriously guys, this is just crude propaganda. Recognise it for what it is.
“On Facebook alone, the dozen are responsible for 73% of all anti-(Covid) vaccine content, though the vaccines have been deemed safe and effective by the US government and its regulatory agencies”
By that premise, any critiques of the Covid vaccines that don’t portray them in a wonderful light, even when backed by official data, are “disinformation”. And by extension to imply that all critques of Covid vaccines originate from those 12 individuals is just a joke.
The Orwellian sounding “Center for Countering Digital Hate” want to use the pretext of keeping us all “safe” from “harmful and dangerous Covid vaccine misinformation” to push for new levels of online censorship. That’s what’s going on here.
In other related news, my, but that liberal democratic mask has slipped a long way down from the face of New Zealand prime minister Jacinta Ardern. Check out the body language – forced smile, clenched jaw, fervent nodding of the head as she instructs the New Zealand public to look only to a NZ government website for Covid-related information and “dismiss anything else”:
“We will continue to be your single source of source of truth. We will share everything we can. Everything else you see (take with) a grain of salt”.
Sounds more like the language you’d hear coming from a despotic dictatorship.
Very telling in the clip at the 0.38 mark when the forced smile drops and a pained expression momentarily comes across her face, prompting some nervous scratching. Inner turmoil going on there.

Odd that you quote twitter posts from Eric Feigl-Ding. His research, too, has been dissected and overtaken by events.
But as Feigl-Ding’s influence has grown, so have the voices of his critics, many of them fellow scientists who have expressed ongoing concern over his tweets, which they say are often unnecessarily alarmist, misleading, or sometimes just plain wrong. “Science misinformation is a huge problem right now — I think we can all appreciate it — [and] he’s a constant source of it,” said Saskia Popescu, an infectious disease epidemiologist at George Mason University and the University of Arizona who serves on FAS’ Covid-19 Rapid Response Taskforce, a separate arm of the organization from Feigl-Ding’s work. Tara Smith, an infectious disease epidemiologist at Kent State University, suggested that Feigl-Ding’s reach means his tweets have the power to be hugely influential. “With as large of a following as he has, when he says something that’s really wrong or misleading, it reverberates throughout the Twittersphere,” she said.
Feigl-Ding took to Twitter to discuss a titillating but non-peer-reviewed paper that some readers interpreted as evidence that SARS-CoV-2 was engineered in a lab; once the authors retracted the pre-print, he deleted a series of tweets from the middle of the thread. In March, Feigl-Ding tweeted a CDC graph as evidence that young people were “just as likely to be hospitalized as older generations,” but failed to mention an important detail about the age ranges represented in the graph’s bars, which didn’t actually support that claim. In August, he tweeted his support for a proposition to allow people early access to a vaccine. After criticism from epidemiologists, bioethicists, doctors, and health policy experts, Feigl-Ding deleted a few tweets at the beginning of his thread, saying they were “confusing” and “murky.”

The second most read piece online at IT,fails mention Murray last week lost numerous challenges to fraud charges from investors, the position he took on the 2 billion tax bill is described by the IT as like a golfer taking a mulligan, while not mentioning at all that he’s facing extremely serious fraud charges.
His company need to dim the devastation court news,so his PR people reached out to IT,for a flattering profile piece, they got it.
The position they took on CGT v Corporate,is extremely shaky it looks me like they are desperately trying settle, his description a x tobacco exec of Ireland and our revenue commission is condescending and patronizing in the extreme,a grown man who jumps horses….

I have to say, I think the real quasi-religious belief has to be that facial coverings DON’T impede the person-to-person spread of airborne particles. Where the hell did this come from? Law 360 every morning provides court links, its paywall but last week they reported extensively on Perrigo, all court records are public in states and easy searchable/findable.
“The dispute stems from the company’s 2013 purchase of Ireland-based Elan Corp., which allowed Perrigo to establish its tax domicile in Ireland, according to court documents. Shortly before the sale, Elan sold its interests in the multiple sclerosis drug Tysabri for $3.2 billion and royalties. Perrigo’s proceeds from the sale were more than $6 billion.
The transaction should have been taxed at 33% instead of 12.5%, resulting in additional tax of €1.6 billion, Ireland’s Office of the Revenue Commissioners told the company in an October 2018 audit letter.”

-Figures provided by Minister for Housing Darragh O’Brien, in response to a parliamentary question from Sinn Féin’s Eoin Ó Broin, also show that the average per-unit cost of the leases was €17,000. That works out at over €425,000 over a typical 25-year term.-
on pace DOUBLE it or more,as these accelerate with society reopening.
-A total of 918 homes have been leased so far this year; just over 1,000 social homes were leased in the whole of 2020-

Not at all fearganainm. I’m not anti mask or vaccine. I wear a mask in shops etc. I am fully vaccinated. Additionally, I lost a family member to covid back in February. He wasn’t living in Ireland. I haven’t been able to pay my respects.
What I do question is the plethora of ‘experts’ that are quoted. For your expert, there are negating experts. All are qualified to be experts at something, but not necessarily the thing they’re writing about. The report you linked to was littered with statements with little or no back up. Each and every expert has something to hide as regards where they’re really coming from. That could be political, commercial or whatever.

Indeed. For instance, Harald Walach, the guy whose anti-mask and anti-vaccine papers were retracted, “…is not an MD his doctorate is in psychology with specific interests in parapsychology and complimentary medicine.”
And sorry for your loss. If there are such stupid mistakes in the article – the “journalist” obviously doesn’t know what they are writing – why would you believe any of it?

Why buy the IT never mind believe it.

@ Cian Same can be said for the “rubbish” articles you post here, where there’s more than one claim that can be totally rubbished.
@Micko – Strange, the Victorian CHO has said masks work. I am here to say that Melbourne went from 700 cases a day to zero. Masks were part of the package. You’re welcome.
And why would anyone read the Torygraph?
Jesus lads.
You’re really invested in your comfort blankets.
I wouldn’t get too close to that article, Micko, the holes in it are big enough to let 5cm viral nanoparticles through.
Where does the air go?
Isn’t it amazing how a thin piece of cloth can hold back millions of virus particles in a person’s breath.
An absolute miracle
.
.
.
In other 100% factual news, the Eucharist and Wine literally turn into the body and blood of the son of God. :p
Coddin’ yourselves lads…. quasi-religious beliefs.
“masks capture 100% of virus particles” said nobody (official) ever.
That is a strawman arguement put forward by the I-don’t-want-to-wear-a-mask crowd.
I have to say, I think the real quasi-religious belief has to be that facial coverings DON’T impede the person-to-person spread of airborne particles. Where the hell did this come from? Remember that time the bishop argued that condoms didn’t protect from pregnancy or STDs because sperm were so tiny they could swim right through? Did you guys all go to the same source he used for his conclusions?
Dead right Nidgey.
I think you should wear a giant condom mask made of latex.
You can never be too careful :)
@ Cian that’s ironic- mischaracterising Micko’s comment in order to make it easier to dismiss..isn’t that what a strawman argument is?
‘I think you should wear a giant condom mask made of latex.’
You should be so lucky.
‘isn’t that what a strawman argument is?’
What’s it called when your argument consists of putting ‘The Orwellian-sounding’ in front of names and organisations?
I actually just meant you should wear one for smothering purposes Nigel.
Nothing more, there kinky boy
I’m sorry Micko I do not share that kink.
Nigel: “What’s it called when your argument consists of putting ‘The Orwellian-sounding’ in front of names and organisations?”
I think that’s what is these days called a ‘self-own’ by someone who can’t seem to help himself with the use of strawmans as a form of debate.
You said it.
It has been a long hard journey. Eamonn Coughlan has finally sorted out his “ths” in the latest Goal advert.
It’s not over till the fat man signs.
Speaking off charity scams,it’s early days, some good analysts reporting this morning but behind paywalls, will take a read later, this was long signposted,it’s pretty much his only asset, unencumbered with suffocating and hobbling debts. His tech is rubbish and old,as usual,he had early mover advantage, this is just a delay and block tactic or kicking the can down the road before inevitably, China takes PNG.

And on the stroke of midnight, nightclubs right across England opened with no masks and no vaccine checking nonsense.

Hurrah for England. 53% fully vaccinated, 15% one dose.
– Cases still increasing
– Hospitals still filling
– Deaths continue to rise
What could possibly go wrong?
Ehh?
Are you including kids in those unvaccinated numbers?
Coz the BBC say that about 90% of adults have had their first jab in the UK
“ So far, more than 46 million people have had a first vaccine dose – almost 90% of the adult population – and more than 35 million – around two-thirds of adults – have had both doses.”
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-5527483
https://www.broadsheet.ie/contact/
Totally. For a lad who’s constantly in about “fact checking”.
Well, that some whopper fake news right there.
I believe 53% refers to the population over the age of 12. Cian is right that the hospitals are filling. It is not going to be good but Bozo thinks he can get away with it.
Here is a link for you:
https://quackwatch.org/consumer-protection/covid-19-consumer-protection/
So yeah. Kids then.
90% of adult pop vac’d and hospitals “still filling”
Do the vaccines work or what?
“the hospitals are filling..”
Except they’re not.
‘Do the vaccines work or what?’
Are the people catching it fully vaccinated or not?
The overall figures make this reopening weirder. How much longer until the adult population is as close as nevermind to fully vaccinated? A couple of months? Risking throwing all that effort away, or at least seriously undermining it, for what?
The are filling:
4000 (up from 1000 six weeks ago)
https://ourworldindata.org/explorers/coronavirus-data-explorer?zoomToSelection=true&time=2021-05-12..latest&pickerSort=desc&pickerMetric=total_deaths_per_million&Metric=Hospital+patients&Interval=7-day+rolling+average&Relative+to+Population=false&Align+outbreaks=false&country=~GBR
And that is 53% of total population.
Kids can get and spread Covid too!

Can you not quote something that isn’t tainted?
@Gigg – Damn scientists with their facts.
Hospitalisations are up 25% in a week in the UK. No worries.
People will oppose vaccines that have been through rigorous clinical trials, and ignore the increasing evidence of their efficacy, while at the same time, subscribe wholeheartedly to the New World Order myth because someone on Twitter/Facebook said so.
Link above, they need settle trying pin rev in corner, who can’t comment, any sign the minister…it’s 2 F billion owed to Ireland.
-Even though we still believe that Elan filed correctly and that, ultimately, in a long drawn-out battle, we would come out and win, we believe the right thing to do right now with reasonable minds all trying to get to a reasonable solution is for us to settle this case at a reasonable number that makes sense.
“I think it is good for Perrigo, I think it is good for its investors, I think it is good for its employees, I think it is good for our Irish employees to not have to be reading about this all the time. And I think it is good for Ireland.-
I like backgammon and used play a bit on rainy afternoons at The American Hotel,Sag Harbor. One the better players was Bill, who it turns out had patented the first organic cat flea collar, sold it Hartz Mountain Corp ( big pet food),lived on his royalties and liked gamble.
He could rely on 1 million a year, but a new mouse trap.could cut that,if Bill sold that income stream is it a one off event or something he does every year ?
Murray failed disclose that Ireland’s Revenue had correctly treated the sale on its royalties from one drug/future income stream as a capital or one off event, thus subject CGT V ahem magic, something that happens every year…corporate tax.
Bill is a gin soaked professional gambler, who only did one thing right, make an organic flea collar that worked first, sold it,he pays income tax every year on his royalties, but CGT on his gambling winnings.
Law 360 every morning provides court links, its paywall but last week they reported extensively on Perrigo, all court records are public in states and easy searchable/findable.

Perrigo, Investors Must Go To Trial Over Co.’s $1.9B Tax Bill · July 14, 2021, 6:50 PM EDT

note they made 6 Billion on the sale.

Perrigo Loses Twice In Judge’s Order On Expert Testimony · July 12, 2021, 4:14 PM EDT
but,but why does ireland have no homes for irish people to buy,are we poor, sorry its complicated but,but is it really or a FFG policy choice, only American’s at the moment no irish please, does FFG have a deal that yanks get go first, the paddy’s get the sloppy seconds…
-A total of 918 homes have been leased so far this year; just over 1,000 social homes were leased in the whole of 2020-
..what a shameful, grubby legacy,no break-no exit clause, long term-25 year-CONTRACTS-signed by a vicy govt on behalf ireland, thousands these unbreakable leases falling on next generation to pay.
does FFG really have binding authority for the state on over a BILLION euro no bid 25 year contacts, yanks offshore funds seem think so,they have a lot of money riding on FFG,hence the recent buying spree, its a simple arbitrage or spread bet over 25 year irish bonds, these leases are higher yielding-more returns.
is FFG cashing in,someone is making bank, follow the money…

@ GiggidyGoo
But Eric Feigl-Ding’s reportage on the retraction of papers by Harald Walach, and his subsequent dismissal by his employers, is not incorrect, is it? The information can presumably be found in sources more to your taste so attempting to attack one particular messenger does not, in this instance, cast any doubt whatsoever upon the truth of the message. Feigl-Ding even included sources for you, e.g.

I accept that you may be annoyed by some anti-mask, anti-vaccine woo being exposed as woo but try to stick to the facts.

Indeed. For instance, Harald Walach, the guy whose anti-mask and anti-vaccine papers were retracted, “…is not an MD his doctorate is in psychology with specific interests in parapsychology and complimentary medicine.”
https://twitter.com/An_NHS_Nurse/status/1412612638316634113
And sorry for your loss. While I’ve not experienced the same I’ve had half a dozen family members, here and overseas, affected by Covid to varying degrees and a few friends met it too, one of whom almost lost his life. While crticisms can be made of governmental responses there’s no doubting that Covid-19 is real and potentially lethal.
Thanks fearganainm. We may be a bit argumentative here now and again, and may come across in a bad light every now and again. But we have our own views and been affected in some way with this. Not personal.
