When you refer to him as ‘Holohoop’ it honestly makes you sound like you have the same maturity levels as the kids who play outside my house.

I don’t find it annoying, and it’s fitting imo considering the mess of smear tests he stands over..

Marie Hunt aka Mystic Meg nailed it here.

Marie Hunt-Executive Director Head of Research CBRE Ireland wrote a report in July last year on….

Is Investment in Social Housing the Next Big Trend for Ireland?

    – Until recently, there was no standard leasing mechanism in place to facilitate this form of investment in the Irish market with a combination of approaches being adopted including the ‘Standard Lease’ and more recently the ‘Enhanced Lease’, which was adopted in the Dundrum transaction mentioned above-

Thank you captain stating the bleeding obvious Marie.

‘Arguably, investors may be prepared to pay a keener yield for a property leased to the public sector than the private sector considering the length of the leases and the ‘Government-backed’ nature of the secure income stream. ‘

    https://www.cbre.ie/en/research-and-reports/Is-Investment-in-Social-Housing-the-Next-Big-Trend-for-Ireland

Congrats to Marie and the team at CBRE on the completed sale of irish social housing to offshore Brit investors, having ‘solved’ the lease issue,it’s now game on for CBRE,time make some bank with the yanks and brits, flogging irish social housing with 25 year govt leases, nice work IF you can get it….so how do you get FFG to sign 25 year no break no bid contracts in back rooms that are secret – (leases)

Who would have lobbied the govt and fixed this lease issue opening the floodgates…hm looks like it all started in Dumdrum, first transaction this type in report.

-The portfolio is producing a guaranteed gross rental income of €952,000 per annum and is being offered to the market by agent CBRE on behalf of Allied Irish Property and the Topland Group at a guide price of €21 million.-

Is this Topland that the irish govt under FFG is signing 25 year no break contracts with in back room’s.

..In 2012, The Guardian reported that Topland was being sued by the UK’s Ministry of Justice, having “conspired with a property agent in 2002 to extract inflated rents from the government on one of its central London buildings which houses the main London divorce courts”. The UK government has accused Topland of “deceit, fraud by bribery, dishonest assistance and breach of confidence” and “unlawful conspiracy”.[5] The case was “settled out of court on confidential terms”.

Couple of young smokers on the cover of the Metro all pressed up against each other like sardines.

Whatever about being young and fit, smoking will most likely make what could have been a mild case more serious. Let’s hope they don’t get infected.

      1. Janet, dreams of an alternate universe

when I was little I used to sit directly in my dad’s smoke when out for a picnic because ” it kept the flies away “

      2. ian-oG

That’s not been established but what has is that it can exacerbate your symptoms and make you more likely to become seriously ill.

However, its one of those common sense things – pumping toxic fumes into your lungs is never going to help you in anyway. But as smokers are much more likely to be touching their hands to their mouth area it does make sense that it *could* certainly increase your risk.

However, not being a doctor or scientist I freely admit to not having any real information about this outside what I have looked up on credible websites.

Moral of the story is don’t smoke for many reasons unrelated to covid I suppose?

        1. Slave to the Rhythm

did you see the story today about junkies who were taking methadone being less susceptible to COVID Johnny? oh how I laughed.

“What SAGE Gets Wrong: The Evidence that Almost Everyone is Exposed During a Surge and Most Are Immune”

    https://dailysceptic.org/2021/07/17/what-sage-gets-wrong-the-evidence-that-almost-everyone-is-exposed-during-a-surge-and-most-are-immune/

Thought-provoking theory put forward in this article which challenges the establishment orthodoxy on the effectiveness of lockdowns, masks, social distancing, etc. The sad thing is that this kind of analysis is beyond the scope of what our government would be willing or able to even consider – they’ve staked their credibility on all those restrictive measures and are hardly likely to admit their failure at this stage in the game.

interesting letter being circulated in France

    PASS SANITAIRE ET LIBERTES INDIVIDUELLES

    Mesdames, Messieurs,

      HEALTH PASS AND INDIVIDUAL FREEDOMS

      Ladies and gentlemen,

The purpose of this letter is not to discuss the “pros” or “against” vaccination.

We do not pretend to be doctors or scientists, who are also opposed on the subject and we are even less journalists, who feed debates.

By establishing a HEALTH PASS which in reality requires vaccination, France is to date the only Western country to push deprivation of liberty and repression so far (45,000 € fine and 1 year imprisonment will be the sanctions liable to to be applied to officials who will not control their customers, sanctions reviewed today by the Council of State).

Not to mention money or prison, employees are likely to be dismissed for a reason which will automatically be based on a real and serious cause!

To understand the extent of the situation and the damage that the measures taken by the Government on employment, combined with the implementation of the new unemployment insurance reform, can cause, many French fellow citizens may find themselves unemployed and eventually without resources for the sole reason of the right to dispose of their body.

The reality of the law and the decrees that are announced is very concretely the impossibility for the non-vaccinated to access the territory, to travel by long-distance public transport, to access leisure activities, to catering or drinking establishments, trade fairs or exhibitions, services and establishments welcoming vulnerable people (except in emergencies), as well as large establishments and shopping centers. While waiting for the result already announced in the speech of the% President of the Republic. It is also the impossibility for the unvaccinated (employees or self-employed) to work in all the places or departments concerned.

The break in equality (vaccinated / unvaccinated) is major.

The violation of the rights of the unvaccinated is major: violation in particular of the freedom to come and go, to work, to undertake and to privacy. The question is whether these infringements of fundamental rights and freedoms are proportionate.

The reality of these measures is also the obligation for all, vaccinated and non-vaccinated, to submit to incessant sanitary and identity checks, for many acts of daily life (shopping, shopping, to have a drink, to eat, to move, to have fun, to cultivate oneself or even to take care of oneself)

The violation of the rights of all is major: an attack on personal freedom, in particular privacy and the freedom to come and go.

Breach of privacy with controls revealing combined medical and identity data, ie particularly sensitive (covered by medical confidentiality) and crossed data.

Interference with the freedom to come and go with widespread controls over time and space.

In addition, these controls of sensitive (combined) medical and identity data would be carried out by private persons with supervision measures (register, authorization, information, proof, prohibitions, new article 2-3 of Decree 2021-699 of June 1, 2021) offering few guarantees, given the quantity and variety of controls.

In short, this is not a debate for or against vaccination, but on its binding nature and the serious infringements of freedoms that result (for the unvaccinated as for the rest of the population).

As a lawyer, we will always set ourselves up as a bulwark of freedoms and are by your side and those around you to defend your rights and your employment

“It’s the end of the road for dodgy practice of ‘price walking’ ”

    https://www.independent.ie/business/personal-finance/insurance/its-the-end-of-the-road-fordodgy-practice-of-pricewalking-40670350.html

In Insurance Industry speak this sounds a lot like “OK, we listened, we will make changes and now you must go away and stop shining a spotlight on us, when you are gone we will resume fleecing you in many new and wonderful ways and you will be even worse off when we are done”

Good work Pearse Doherty and Team but you cannot stop there, we still need full transparency on this racket.
