I was refused entry to a restaurant yesterday as I have a non-EU Vaccine Certificate. Can someone please confirm the situation for double vaccinated tourists.

It was reported in the news that the regulations said US/UK proof of vaccinations would be accepted too. But nobody seems to have published the full, confirmed, regulations. So I dunno, any pub/restaurant staff here who’ve been told where they stand?
It’s a complete mess a nightmare to implement it and if you get it wrong a distinct possibility of a criminal prosecution
The gov dot ie site tha Fáilte Ireland (oh the irony) links to states:
“For those from outside the EU who are fully vaccinated or recovered, the regulations that are being made under the Health (Amendment) (No.2) Act 2021 will provide details of the proofs of immunity that may be accepted by businesses.”
Looks like future tense to me. i.e. If you have been 2x vaccinated outside the EU, then PFO.
That’s Brexit, baby
Does it matter? You can’t get into a restaurant or pub. It’s not the end of the world. We’re in a global pandemic.
“Get vaccinated, then we’ll give back some of the freedoms we took from you”
…
“Does it matter? We’re in a pandemic man, you dont need to go into a pub or restaurant”
I was admitted to a well-known Dublin establishment yestetday with a vaccination card and ID from a non-European country. No hassle at all. Friendly welcome, place was immaculately run.
Did probably didn’t like the cut of her jib….
I mean jab…
Noice!
