This morning.
Portland Row, Dublin 1
Kellie Harrington’s parents Yvonne and Christy and brother Joel (above) and neighbours celebrate her place in Sunday’s Olympic boxing final in the lightweight division after today’s semi-final win. She was the silver medallist in the light welterweight division at the 2016 Women’s World Boxing Championships.

You would think that a photocall in front of the national media would be the one event that would inspire people to get dressed for…
You would think such an achievement and community celebration would be an occasion to forget the snark for a day
You’ve never been down Portland Row wha?
My mother was born in Portland Row. Thankfully was not to close when the bombs were dropped on the North Strand. Wallaces depot was at the back of these houses and rose growers were delighted to collect the dung from the horses powering the coal carts.
The fight was at 6am; not surprising people were in their night wear.
It was probably an impromptu celebration rather than a “photocall in front of the national media”.
you’d be more into Helly Hansen at the Royal St. George Dun Laoghaire I suppose
four faults for you there Rob_G
your snobby is showing Rob ;)
It’s hardly snobby to expect someone to be dressed walking down the street, everyone owns clothes
I’d rather see pj’s at 6 am than …shudder leggings
A housecoat they call it I believe
She’s done great! Let’s hope Kellie wins the Gold on Sunday. Irish wimmin, be boxin’!
Portland Row is an Olympian street. Skibbereen is an Olympian village. It changes the history of big and small places. Rejoice.
