Chris Rock tests positive for COVID-19: ‘Get vaccinated’ https://t.co/DTqPRFdz1F pic.twitter.com/eBJbohRBGC

This afternoon.
Via New York Post:
‘in May, Rock joked on “The Tonight Show” that he cut the vaccination line in order to receive the jab.
“I’m two-shots Rock, that’s what they call me,” the “Tamborine” comedian quipped, before specifying he received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, which is a single-dose jab. “That’s the food stamps of vaccines.”
Seemingly joking, Rock quipped that he “used” his “celebrity” to be one of the first to get the vaccine.

Someone who is vaccinated then develops serious CoVid-19 is hardly the best advertisement for vaccinations now is he?
It reminds me of the quote by a doctor about a patient who was vaccinated and then died of CoVid-19. The good doctor said it would have been worse if he didn’t have the jabs…. err- how exactly?
Or you could just listen to the science. There are some numbers in this one so might be a bit tough for you to follow.
The science- ah yes- like Israel you mean, heading for their FORTH jab while infections and hospitalisations skyrocket?
You keep mentioning Israel without ever really getting in to what’s actually happening. No mumbers, no context, no comparative breakdowns of area, of age, of vaccinated vs unvaccinated, is it the delta variant, are they still observing pandemic safety guidelines, that sort of thing.
We have so far operated on the assumption that the higher the vaccination rates go, the lower the infections, hospitalisations and deaths should be. That is now not the case as evidenced by the rush to third and forth jab.
In the case of Israel, it has if not the highest then certainly one of the highest vaccination rates in the world. And, like everywhere else, there is an assumption that those who are at most at risk have near blanket vaccinations.
The only variance is percentage of high risk and as Israel has a very young population, that should be lower.
There is no reason to go any more granular than that.
You’re the one making assumptions, or at least studiously avoiding any sort of actual analysis or explanation of what’s going on there. You might be right, but so far you being right requires not taking a close look or seeing what any relevant experts have to say.
‘There is no reason to go any more granular than that.’
There are always reasons to look closely at what’s going on, and only one reason not to.
High vaccination rates ≠ low CoVid-19 rates- comprende?
Everything else is just wishful thinking and speculation.
And that reason is you have pre-judged your conclusion.
My ‘conclusion’ comes from worldofmeters- the link of which for some odd reason will not post on this site.
Go look Israel up- and have a gander at Iceland and Singapore while you are there- both also high vaccination rates and both now also having spikes- all almighty coincidences if there is no connections.
Your conclusion comes from your own brain. Selective and superficial bits of data from here and there back it up.
No, my conclusion comes from the facts stated- all three countries are having spikes.
That you refuse to accept that, is not my issue.
Exactly. You assume your conclusions using entirely superficial and minimal data from cherry-picked examples and refuse to look any deeper into the numbers and the contexts. That’s why you’re always wrong about things, it’s a bad habit.
Quoting worldofmeters is not cherry picking anything- the three countries with highest vaccination rates now also have very high infection and sickness rates.
How many times will this pattern need to be replicated before you stop looking for excuses?
More than three, and of course, the underlying context of who is getting sick, and how many of them, and why will all factor in to what the pattern actually represents. But you’re not interested in the details, they might detract from your conclusion. The fact that you are conflating ‘understanding’ – as in understanding with what’s going on – with ‘excuses’ shows how uninterested you are in the truth.
Can you not like get a job?
Or a pet or something?
You are his pet.
What a rude thing to say to a commenter on your website Bodger. Broadsheet never used to be like this. These days it’s all antivaxx and no craic and handbag fights and rude Bodgers
BOOOOOOOOO!
Sorry, Pat, the divil and me go way back.

May you be safe at home before the divil knows yer dead Bodger
Re: Israel
Around half of the country’s 600 patients presently hospitalized with severe illness have received two doses of the Pfizer Inc (PFE.N) shot, a rare occurrence out of 5.4 million fully vaccinated people.
The majority of these patients received two vaccine doses at least five months ago, are over the age of 60 **and also have chronic illnesses known to exacerbate a coronavirus infection. They range from diabetes to heart disease and lung ailments, as well as cancers and inflammatory diseases that are treated with immune-system suppressing drug**
You are demonstrating that you really do not understand statistics, you are making an inane mistake of inferring causal relationships from statistical significance. Maybe a child in junior infants could help you out.
Funny, because the science says that mass vaccinations for covid will make immune escape variants inevitable.
We could have only vaccinated those who needed it, the old and vulnerable – but instead we aimed for 100%. Soon we’ll be starting from scratch with a new vaccine – hopefully by then some lessons will have been learned.
Science is now just a sub-section of Capitalism

The figures and source data is all there so maybe pick that apart..

Don’t need to, there’s a red flag conflict of interest way before the makey upy data.. Try harder tom.
Not going to bother responding to you again. One of the worst posters I’ve encountered in 20 years online.
20 years online yeah.. And this is all you have to your name..
Tut tut… try harder..
I’d say, tom2, that one of the worst posters that you ever responded to online – was yourself. Like a link?
Saucer of milk
Zero point in posting scientific studies on this conspiracy blog, Broadsheet is a joke at this stage
Thought you were leaving occasional browser “conor”..
Attention seeking at its best..
I suppose a better advertisement would be a stastistical comparison of vaccinated versus unvaccinated infections and subsequent deaths/serious illness/severity of infection/prevalence of viral load. But I suspect you would not be interested in that sort of information, since you certainly don’t show any sign of looking at it or for it when you make your blanket remarks about vaccine efficacy. It’s funny, because if you and Bodger are right, and such comparisons would show the vaccines aren’t working, then that’s the sort of story we’d be seeing here, and they would actually persuade people. Instead we get… Chris Rock?
has he got a bad dose of it
has he?
like shifted into hospital bad
Young Chris Rock:
“Fupp the government! The pharmaceutical industry doesn’t care about you – they only care about money!!!
Old Chris Rock:
“The government has your best interest at heart and pharmaceuticals are now keeping me alive and I’m extremely invested in that. Also, I wasn’t YOU to keep me alive – So get vaccinated!”
Sigh… age comes to us all I suppose…
Age? TV contracts more like.
Must say, I’m loving all the pearl clutching at Nicki Minaj.
She knows which way the wind is blowing- very clever lady.
Surprised at SOQ picturing a pearl necklace and Nicky Minaj.. always time for something new..
