Behold: the 992-generation Porsche 911 Targa – further refined by Italian coach builder ARES. The impressive 911 stance is modified with a carbon fibre aero kit adding 8cm of width in the front and 4cm at the rear. The stock interior has been replaced with caramel leather and a further 60bhp has been pumped out of the already rorty 379bhp boxer engine.

The vehicle is a commission for a private buyer so you can’t have it, but you can order your own bespoke one-off here.

    992 Targa is one of the few current era cars of that type I’d put my money to if I had a big win

    but that one is just missing one very important thing…a manual gearbox :(

        There was a time a tan leather interior excited me but that passed a long time ago. My wife’s new car has indigo blue/black leather and I think it’s just stunning.

      Indeed CF: I began to lose interest the first time I raised a bonnet to be confronted by more tronics than oily bits, it came as a shock to discover I couldn’t identify exactly what everything did. These days I regard the yoke in the driveway as I do the washing machine, i.e. a tin box that does a necessary job.
