Is It A Banger?

at

Sadly, yes.

This morning.

Griffith Avenue, Grace Park, Dublin 9.

Dublin Fire Brigade District Officer John Mc Nally lights the fuse of a banger on the hand of a dummy – we shall call ‘Nigel’ –  with horrific consequences during the launch of a Halloween fireworks danger awareness campaign at the Dublin Fire Brigade Training Centre.

He’ll never play the violin again.

            Ha ha ha!

I’ve never seen that one, although I remember my Mam being paranoid about rugs and polished floors

Now I know where she got it from…

    Messing aside
    those bangers are f’n curse

last year was the worst ever

it was non stop for over six weeks

Very sad to see how most dogs react btw
    really cruel and heartless
OK for a full volley of fireworks that are over in 15 mins

But cheezus all the time is just too much
Have the Thundershirt ready to go
But if its anything close to last year I don’t think the elderly dog here will be able to cope tbh

And I know I’m always complaining about her
But it would break my heart
Especially if it was days and days of terror and shaking fear that killed her off
She is just too old now to expect her heart to cope

They started here in D12 around the third week of August, nothing relentless yet
    But I’m not optimistic

        Ta Paddy
Tried the snood – but it’s a 40 kg Bassett and she wasn’t having it
        It’s the ears

Had some relief with the Thundershirt over New Year’s
        And also
having telly radio music on throughout the gaff helps
And letting them up on the settee
