Don’t know about this protocol, but with a good guess, what happens in the UK or elsewhere Ireland doesn’t lag behind.
There were definitely midnight calls to relatives asking them to agree to “Do not Resuscitate” March/April 2020 (at the height of the fear-mongering) in nursing homes/hospitals. Covid death was put on many a death cert.
Micko
As someone who has had to place a DNR notice on a loved one, I don’t think it could be done as easily as a phone call. In my case it was a discussion with two doctors and written consent.
But maybe that need for written consent was waved because of Covid?
There’s going to be investigations for decades after this thing isn’t there… ;(
Cú Chulainn
It’s a blessing.. although we are very far behind the UK who prescribe Diamorphine, which we still can’t do.. the right to die with dignity is still denied us..

Murdering people to artificially inflate figures is no ‘blessing’.

A typically obnoxious comment..
SOQ
Marcus DeBrun has already alluded to something like this.
Tom J
Marcus DeBrun should take his alleged evidence through the civil courts with a civil case against the alleged perpetrators.
SOQ
Marcus has consistently called for a public enquiry into the nursing home scandal. If anyone is to blame it is the politicians and civil servants who are trying to cover it up, especially the ones who decided that sick people be placed in those homes without any testing.
Tom J
Like I said, if he has evidence then take a civil action against the perpetrators.
ce
Yeah, looking forward to when the courts simply take place on Twitter… imagine the money we’d save…
Chris
@ce yet the evidence is there, what makes you dispute it? Your own cowardice?
E'Matty
@Tom J – what kind of civil action do you think DeBruin should take where he himself is not the “injured party”. What would his standing be? The offences are actually more of a criminal nature, rather than a civil matter. These are effectively claims of mass murder of the elderly and vulnerable. A State run forced euthanasia programme.
Tom J
His standing would be that he has evidence to prove that someone was murdered.
E'Matty
That would not provide him personal locusstandii to bring a civil action. To bring a civil action, he personally would have to show standing to bring the case, normally through showing personal loss suffered. If a family member was involved, he’d only have a fatal injuries case with limited right to damages. So, again, I’ll ask what kind of civil case do you believe DeBruin can bring?
Tom J
The people who are alleged to have been murdered have families, so Marcus DeBrun should turn his alleged evidence over to the families.
E'Matty
OK, so the families should bring a civil action then, not DeBruin. Glad we’ve clarified that.
Tom J
Only when they have the evidence. If Marcus has any, which I doubt very much.
SOQ
There is more than a slight irony in the fact that the very same people who were screaming about killing granny are now the ones who don’t want any investigation into this at best, euthanasia.
Hypocrisy doesn’t even begin to describe it.
People suffered and people died through negligence and a callous disregard for the most vulnerable and elderly. It is not the responsibility of a single GP to bring this forth because it happened in multiple homes, a public investigation is warranted to ascertain the facts.
Tom J
Do we have a public enquiry for the people who died in hospital from the same virus.
SOQ
People in hospital were there for that specific reason, or at least was at some stage identified as such, and hopefully received the appropriate level of care. People in homes did not- there is a big difference.
You wouldn’t put a dog down the way some of those poor people died, and those responsible should be called to account.
Tom J
Talk to Marcus, he has all the answers.
SOQ
You are on the weekend shift so- bummer.
Tom J
I’m going for a pint.
Papi
Weekend shift suggests taking a shift off.
You should look into that, Queenie, you must be knackered.
SOQ
I’m very much energetic when it come to causes I believe in, passionate even.

Papi
After your comment on the football thread, it might be time to put either the phone or the gin down now, Queenie. You already have no credibility, keep some dignity.

Chris

Tom J

Chris
There’s obviously no waking you up. You’d rather turn a blind a to murder than be inconvenienced by the thought.
Tom J
Like I said if you have any evidence, otherwise go back to sleep.
Chris
That’s why I asked about FOI requests, not very quick on the uptake are you.
Tom J
When did you ask that question.
chris
The very 1st post, but if you’re fine with ignoring murder, Its unsurprising that you missed it.
Tom J
You keep saying murder, if you are an alleged witness to murder then go and make a statement at your local Garda station, or take a civil action. Otherwise please be quiet.
chris
You won’t tell me what to do, you won’t injure me with your ignorance. How about you stay off my threads.
Tom J
So you own Broadsheet now do you.
Nobody can reply to Chris because he gets upset.
SOQ
What right do you have to tell anyone to be quiet? This is a very serious issue- if you are uncomfortable with the topic then just scroll on.
Tom J
Imagine if I investigated my own nonsense.
Tom J
What right do you have to make accusations of murder without any evidence.
Papi
“stay off my threads”
Says new name man who can’t. Ratlickers are funny.
chris
Whereas eugenicide apologists most certainly are not.
Tom J
There you go again, making statements without any evidence. Eugenicide my backside.
chris
The evidence is in the article. Before Covid, the recommended dosage of Midazolam was .5mg in April NHS staff were told to give elderly patients up to 10mg – that’s 20x the dosage. This is a drug that used in executions, palliative care amongst other things.
I asked was a similar protocol in use here – cue cry’s of ‘conspiracy’ ‘wheres the evidence’ etc when this info was obtained by FOI requests to the NHS.
100,000 staff are walking away from the NHS, do you really imagine they’ve all become ‘ratlickers’ ‘tin-foilers’ or whatever other terms you all bark out when something doesn’t fit your narrative?
Tom J
It’s an allegation not evidence. I suppose the 100.000 walking away will become truck drivers to help out with the petrol shortages.
Daisy Chainsaw
Or maybe they have proper stories to break, rather than conspiracy theory bull poo.

This too shall pass and then the hysterical conspiracy nuts and their inane conspiracy theories will have to find some other issue/s to froth and drool about.

In April 2020, there was an excess amount of deaths for what would normally be expected during that time of the year. This doesn’t automatically correspond to excess deaths for 2020 as a whole. Basic logic I would have thought
Yet you’re the one frothing at the mouth at anyone that challenges you’re ridiculous notion of – ‘if I just play along, this will all go away”.
‘ The chronology of things’ as if you have even an iota of an idea.

Chris
Hardman? Warnings? I’m afraid you are reading far too much into things, I was responding to a rude request to be quiet in a gentlemanly manner.
The whole ‘completely and utterly ridiculous’ concept you wish to project would seem to be just that, a projection, a schism you have with reality – when you’re concept of it is challenged.
