…a life well lived…thanks Paddy…
Absolutely. Thanks for sharing your talent. RIP.
Well put mate
saw him performing live just prior lockdown…in between pieces he told a few interesting stories…like I knew he was a big deal obviously but I couldn’t get over the amount of music luminaries he’d worked with across different genres…Jagger, McCartney, Stevie Wonder and cinematic scores etc. etc.
a tower of a man
RIP
Yep. He was an innovative musician. His collaborations with artists from different genres were amazing. I still occasionally listen to the album of The Chieftains with Van Morrison. RIP Paddy.
Great man, give him rest.
Surely one of the most influential figures in traditional music.
R.I.P. Paddy.
RIP Paddy, one of the greatest.

Godspeed Paddy, maybe not across The Rio Grande.
very sad news indeed – a fantastic musician and an absolute gentleman
RIP
A good man, with a talent shared widely.
Quite the story-teller too.
RIP.
A class act and an artist and musician down to the balls of his feet.
Another luminary has shuffled off this mortal coil and our patch of earth the darker for it.
With Joni Mitchell. Powerful.
