The point here is that those in the VIP unmasked lounge don’t have to sit with Mr Ó’Sé, the unvaccinated prole vector that he is.

You can join the club for free, any time you like. All are welcome. Otherwise enjoy the hard uncomfortable seats.

Shocking stuff. I reckon this is the beginning of the Fourth Reich. Hope you’re o.k. hun. After the Great Battle of the Indoor Protocols we’ll have a coffee together inside the Freedom Hall of the Unvaccinated. Death to Science, stay strong.

Sara’s attempting sarcasm, Tom. She follows “The Science”, which she learns from TV News broadcasts. The Science is far easier to understand than Science, what’s more, it has a moral aspect, people who follow The Science don’t acquire much knowledge but they do become morally superior & feeling this superiority, they can condemn, ostracize, then persecute & punish those morally inferior to themselves.
The Science is rarely Scientific because, you see, it’s not Science, it’s a religion, indeed it’s a Cult.
        A stupid cult.

Extremely contagious virus, wearing an FFP2 mask and having good ventilation helps…. but most of the population is incapable of doing this…. vaccination helps but does not make miracles happen (10% of unvaxx adults making up 66% of ICU admission…. so obviously vaccination doesn’t work, yeah, that makes sense…) – vaccination will not magically make Covid go away. Essentially the equivalent of the population of Iceland is wandering around unvaccinated (which is their right… but you know, keep it to yourself and stop complaining people won’t let you into things), Nphet and Government have decided not to contact trace or ask close-contact children to isolate…. the largest group of unvaccinated folks in the country… and can’t provide basic HEPA filters for class room…. and most of the population is incapable of wearing an FFP2 mask to actually help out the situation…., the weather has taken a bit of a turn over the last few weeks, more indoor meeting with only a minimum of restrictions, little checking of certs, little care for ventilation…. etc……. and people are shocked that Covid hospitalization are going up….. and even if yuo’re in hospital for something else you have to be isolated because, you know “protect the vulnerable… as long as I don’t actually have to do anything” …. perhaps the real reason for the fake hospital figures is becuase it’s a big conspiracy to stop us enjoying pints, because the GOVERNMENT AND CAPITALIST COMPANIES FUNCTION BEST WHEN ECONOMIES COLLAPSE SHEEPLE… December will be fun…

should you not be focusing on a first booster? That at least might be on the horizon. Instead you’ve given yourself over to a stiff breeze and blown yourself right over the horizon, all the way to Oz. Be sure to phone home when you land, let them know you’re alright.

Don’t you see where it is going? Every six months, at the very least?

And that account is of Lithuania btw, which is a lot closer to us than Australia.

if we start rolling out a first booster in Ireland for the general public, I might take your fear seriously. As of right now, I just see tin foil.

          2. SOQ

I don’t think there is anything tinfoil about expecting the vaccines to behave exactly the same as say, Israel.

            Common sense I’d call it.

“10% of unvaxx adults making up 66% of ICU admission…. so obviously vaccination doesn’t work, yeah, that makes sense” can you provide your source for this please?

The thing is, ce, when small capitalist businesses are closed big capitalist businesses benefit. The Local Economy crashes but people can still buy stuff online. Surely you can figure this out for yourself, no?
The rest of your missive is equally laden with assumptions & rationalisations based on your Beliefs & I doubt if you can be persuaded out of the tree, now you’re up there.
If you believe in something strongly enough, it becomes the truth, I suspect you’ve always been that way. Good for you.

Let’s be honest Sean, you’re being thick. You know damn well you’ve as much chance of catching or spreading the virus no matter where you sit. The rules may seem obtuse in this situation, which is fair.

But it begs the question Sean, are you happy to sit on those chairs be they in the coffee shop or in the public lobby, within coughing distance of people, potentially vulnerable people, knowing that your choice is putting others at risk?

Or did some anecdotal third hand YouTube scientist tell the great reset is coming and drink your coffee wherever you like? HARAHARAHARAHAHAHAHA

This post is farcical, even for Broadsheet.

I think the point is that he was not permitted to eat at the cafes seats but move to the station seats and all is supposedly good. Unless the cafe seats have special virus deflectors, there is no objective difference in terms of virus safety and therefore this is unwarranted discrimination without a logical reason in terms of halting a pandemic.

So, Sean can catch a cold no matter where he sits, so the rules he’s deriding are ridiculous, right?
    So that makes him thick?
That sort of “thinking” is farcical, even for someone who posts their half-baked musings on Broadsheet.
The current tendency of people who get their dose of “The Science” from TV to slag off Youtube is hugely amusing. Universities moved courses to Youtube during lockdowns, Yale, Columbia, they’re all up there, although they’re not delivered by “anecdotal third hand Youtube scientists”, which I suspect are a figment of your fevered imagination and of course, they’re not as accessible & easy to digest as Pat Kenny, Joe Duffy or the Six One News.
    HARAHARAHARAHAHAHAHA, indeed.

If he can catch a cold he can also catch Covid 19. The seats in the station are for anyone to sit on vaxxed or unvaxxed.

Admitting you have a problem, that’s a good start. Attend antivaxer’s anonymous and you are good to go.
