It’s not obvious how Sara’s comment was stupid. Offering context is actually an effort to inform. It should not be assumed that by offering this context it is somehow the same as justifying violence or even murder. Were there some possibility that those closest to the deceased might encounter the comment then maybe it would be insensitive. The more likely thing is that people might be interested to know why was it this tory when so many might irk misfortune and for whom the first question isn’t … who?

Exactly. Not advocating killing, just saying that by dying he doesn’t leave the world worse off. The guy had blood on his hands, he voted for the Iraq war.

“context” are you for bleedin’ real?
Nothing said adds context to the death of the man ffs, cop on.

That statement was withdrawn and blamed on a staffer. While disagreeing with the vast majority of his political beliefs, even holding many of them in utter contempt, I’d argue that violent attacks on political representatives are absolutely wrong.

Some of the toxic rhetoric levelled at public figures, up to and including calls for their execution, can pave the way for incidents like this.

An elected MP was stabbed to death while working for his constituents. That is the tragedy.
Do you have any personal details on the five murdered Norwegians? Perhaps in your eyes they ‘deserved it’?

Classic Sara. At times like this, if you have nothing good to say, perhaps say nothing at all. Really spiteful stuff from this commenter on here lately.

It’s Sara’s entire contribution, name-calling, demonising, sneering. What a waste of space, she really needs to just grow up.

          Indeed. It’s an incendiary place.

The harassment of politicians begins with threats and can end in what happened in Britain today.

Someone’s getting a grief tinky-poo. You should go to the funeral. Although even Tory funerals probably draw a line at the unvaccinated.

The perpetrator is apparently a Somalian & his motivation was Islamic terrorism. If anyone thinks he was justified because of the victim’s political affiliation, they need to take a good look at themselves. What they’ll be seeing is an apologist for Islamic terrorism who insults the memory of the innocent victims of it’s atrocities.

So was the attack was in defiance of British foreign policy or home policy on Islamic citizens, one wonders.
Either way, comparisons are already being made between this and well-known Tory assassinations by the IRA.

But Jo Cox…that was a crazed killer, nothing to do with political or religious motives.

    Scumbags to the Left,
    Torys to the Right,
Here I am… leaning away from that first shower of fupps
