Jelly gummies next to an illegal cannabis plant

Gulp.

This afternoon.

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland has warned parents to be vigilant over THC-infused gummies this Halloween.

Via RTE news:.

In its warning about the jellies, the FSAI said: “Cannabis edibles are illegal food products containing THC and come in many forms, but primarily jelly sweets.

“THC is a controlled substance in Ireland with a zero tolerance under the Misuse of Drugs Act, 1977.

“Furthermore, in food, THC is considered a contaminant, with no permitted threshold in EU or Irish food law.”

Also: check apples for concealed razor blades.

this has literally never happened, and now its an official public warning. the government are ceaseless with their scaremongering. they really pour a lot into the “keep the public in fear” part of the Neo liberal handbook.

Ah the same old fluff – seeing danger where there is none.

Yesterday I watched Priti Patel in the UK say the following about dangers to MP’s following the stabbing of Amess’s last week

““While we do not see ANY information or intelligence which points to ANY credible or specific or imminent threat, I must update the House that the threat level facing members of parliament is now deemed to be SUBSTANTIAL,” Patel told the Commons.”

So no evidence of a threat, but the threat is still there… This is comical 1984 type stuff.

I agree with you on the first sentence but to be fair, given the fact that an MP was stabbed to death in front of his constituents in a seeming act of terrorism I’d say its best to keep the threat level to other MP’s as substantial. Even if Patel garbled the sentence.

As an aside though: Priti Patel is a f***in gowl

Problem is they’ll use that murder to push through more and more crap on the British people.

It’s the double speak that I have a problem with more than anything. There’s no evidence to suggest that this wasn’t an isolated incident, but we’re going to plough on anyway.

And yes she is… awful person.

Anyway more importantly – janga jellies. Are they for sale? ;-)

I smoked 7g a week in my early 20s. I can assure you I wouldn’t be giving it out for hallowe’en.

I gave out squares of acid like confetti though, so be wide of edible paper. That’s where I’ll get your kids.
