Giving Aid To The Unjabbed

at

This morning/afternoon.

Newstalk.

Shane Coleman (top) and Ciara Kelly discuss what should happen to pubs and restaurants who serve the unvaccinated.

An ESRI survey recently found that 37% of customers in pubs and 34% in restaurants are not being asked for their COVID certs.

Ok so there is clearly some reason why this is becoming an issue at this point- to cover for Ryan perhaps?

Interesting that Coleman and Kelly conveniently omit to mention the reasons WHY they think passports are so important- because there is none.

96% of hospitality venues are fully complying according to the government’s own covid checkers[1], who’ve carried out almost 13,000 spot checks. The whole thing is just another attempt at blaming someone, anyone, other than the government for our predicament. Facts and statistics be damned.

The propagandizing is reaching Pravda like levels.

It is an issue at this point because boosters for the nation are next to perpetuate the pass. the only way to coerce people to take them up at the same rate as before is to declare everyone “no longer fully vaccinated” after 6 months – same playbook as Isreal – and when the vaxxed suddenly find themselves unable to continue doing things they are used to, they will get the boosters they are being “offered”. It’s critical to have a civil policing force checking passes, snitching on the non-compliant, etc., in order for this to happen here. All about public health apparently.

Not sure if you’re being serious or sarcastic. (Maybe you aren’t sure either.)
Not going anywhere. Less time in Pantibar gives me more time to spend here annoying you. :)

Im not even kidding, when I say ,Coleman and kelly ,are two of the most irritating, sneaky and genuinely unlikable, clowns to have ever graced the airwaves. And with competition like kenny and cooper ,that’s saying something.

Heard them recently. Godamn awful. Who gave them licence to preach all that cr*p?

  3. Cui Bono?

These 2 are an absolute disgrace to the human brain. Idiots. Ignorant fools walking us into this tyranny. They haven’t even begun to understand how bad these vax passes are.

“do you remember when NPHET first sprung the idea we were gonna have vaccine passports” she says – Eh no it was Bill Gates and Co. that told us that back in March 2020.

  4. Stephen F

This is not an issue, Nearly 90% of over 12s have both doses, once you got over 18 you’re getting even higher. Spot checks should be all that is needed, the fear of being turned away and missing out is the biggest deterrent.

    1. Cui Bono?

The vaccines don’t stop transmission so vaccine passports definitely do not either.

” Spot checks should be all that is needed, the fear of being turned away and missing out is the biggest deterrent.” – are you joking or do you enjoy the coercion, anti-science and obvious tyranny?

I’m not having any issues in Galway. Plenty of spots for a pint, any previous watering holes that went Stasi won’t get my business in the future.

“The vaccines don’t stop transmission so vaccine passports definitely do not either.”

Complete and utter nonsense. Vaccines massively reduce the chances of getting infected, which in effect massively reduces the amount of times the transmission occurs. This has been proven now beyond any doubt. Unless of course, you think this vaccine is just a massive conspiracy by the political, medical and media establishment. In which case, yes, the world is flat, and 9-11 was an inside job.

Also, being vaccinated means you are infectious for a shorter amount of time, assuming you do get a breakthrough infection.

But then again, one shouldn’t expect the illiterate anti-vax conspiracy brigade on Broadsheet to understand basic science.

    1. Darren

But Sean I don’t know because honestly when people resort to calling other people who disagree with them stupid I find it hard to see why they would do that unless they are simply afraid that they are not as right as they hope they are. Maybe one of the countries in the world will demonstrate that a fully vaccinated society with all its boosters topped up routinely has actually eliminated the effects of this virus but it hasn’t happened yet I don’t think. It’s never been a conspiracy to say that politicians are not as powerful as they like to think they are or that they can at times be corrupt or that private business is self serving or that the media is often a mouth piece of the highest bidder. These are plainly apparent and regularly demonstrated. It’s the virus that’s new.

    2. Cui Bono?

Again Sean you are just parroting phrases you have heard from the media or your propagandised social circles. You’re now also trying to conflate the scientific reality, which contradicts your false view, with flat earth and 911. Ridiculous.

The vaccines clearly do very little for stopping transmission. They were not even made to do this. They were made to reduce illness and death. Have you not even bothered to read the official documents from the manufacturers?

Do you even know the difference between the RRR and ARR?

It’s time you started doing some reading before parroting more nonsense.

Uuuuh man… I’m starting to think that the Irish obsession with the US and Trump has infected us with some sort of social / mental virus.

People went from hating Trump to being full on jab lovin mask enforcers and the pro-Trump heads started thinking that 5G was giving them Covid and controlling their minds via injections. WTF?

I know we all joke and wind each other up here, but I think that (most of us) normal people just sway closer to one extreme than the other but are clearly rooted in the middle. It’s the covid-pass loving and 5G nuts on either extreme that are the real problem.

It’s everywhere, but we seem to be suffering WAY worse with this issue than the UK. I was out with a pal from Manchester tonight and he’s just shocked at us. They don’t care over there anymore. Covid is just another thing that kills people, like flu or cancer.

A politician literally called for a phone line to be set up today to inform on businesses ‘not complying’ and most people didn’t bat a feckin eyelid.

‘The Lives of Others’ should be made compulsory viewing in schools… pronto!

      1. Poor oul divil

Covid is just another thing that kills people, like flu or cancer.

        – and the fact they don’t care is a good thing?
Micko, I’ve worked and lived in the UK and I would not really have an appetite to emulate their dog eat dog society over here.

I’m sorry for taking the piss out of you as well
I have a funny mask story from work to relate to you all soon and when you all hear it you’re likely to go “well actually that’s a surprise that guy is cool”

        1. Micko

We can’t continue to devote our entire society to this. We know the numbers now.

Covid has killed 1 in a 1000 in Ireland. (0.1%)

Cancer kills 1 in 3 in Ireland (30.7%)
Heart Disease kills 1 in 3 in Ireland (30.1%)

After the last 20 months of worry, stress, arguments, (and in a lot of cases) poor eating, mental health problems, excessive drinking, smoking, drug taking, irregular sleeping, lack of human interaction, lack of being outside, etc.

Which of those three things do you think NOW has a better chance of killing even more people?

And before anyone says “cancer and heart disease aren’t contagious” – what does that matter? You’re still dead!

“I’m sorry for taking the piss out of you as well”

That’s alright, I’m a big boy – it’s just banter. No harm no foul chief ;-)

  7. Darren

The picture of control is distracting more than it is reassuring and yet the virus is obviously not losing any of its interest in us, even those with a vaccine. The paid public messaging people will do their jobs. The man on rte yesterday, science correspondent, said that the virus will be going through the unvaccinated now soon because there is nowhere else for it to go… I worry how much fear this is all building up and hiding. Not worry so much but definitely don’t like it or see it as fair when people are doing their best to live through a pandemic and various ongoing crises.
