Never one for Red Hot Chilli Peppers on my pizza, I am more for some Black Eye’d Peas, and some Irish Cranberries. And then some Salt-N-Pepa to top if off and have it served by a Vicar.

  2. Redundant Proofreaders Society

Thinly stretched dough, flung by hand, and sprinkled with raw polenta.
    Marinara sauce.
    West Cork buffalo mozzarella slices.
A scattering of fresh basil leaves.
A generous twisting of black pepper.

    Redundant Pizza Chefs.

    My home recipe:
    Thin stretched dough
Bubbling almost burnt crust in a pre heated super hot oven, cooked on a cast iron pan

    Less is More with toppings:
    Spicy chorizo
Buffalo mozzarella + parmesan to top
Some basil and drizzle of chilli oil to serve

Don’t have the (pizza) dough? No problem.
Easy and cheap tasty pizza recipe –

Everything available from Aldi / Lidl / Tesco etc..

For the base you can use a tortilla wrap.
Thin layer of passata spread on top.
Sprinkle grated mozzarella on top of the tomato.
Salami slices with some jalapeño peppers.
Good quality buffalo mozzarella sliced and spread evenly.
    Sprinkle with lots of basil.
Five mins in very hot oven.
    Top of with spinach leaves.

    Yumser Bumser.

Will Harry and the Pram be on The Late Late Show tomorrow with one for everyone in the audience (that’s seven then)?

I’m heading down to Paddy Powers with the odds that it will be herself, Harry, Samantha Power, Diarmuid Gavin, and Garth Brooks.

  6. Spider

Deep pan with crusty crust, leading to doughy doughiness and white pudding hidden under the cheese. Perfection!

    Thats a proper Dublin pizza!

perfect pizza is made by putting last nights pizza in the microwave the next morning for breakfast. The fat in the pizza raises to teh top over teh night and shimmers and shakes on top of cheese and pepperoni. yum yum.

Harry Crosbie does in some sense look like an enormous baby. That picture of him with the pram is unfortunate.

I do love a good 10″ vegetarian- but enough of the smut.

Thin crust, extra garlic, spinach, boiled egg and mozzarella.

Just a dietary point- why wheat flour? A lot of people don’t eat wheat anymore- is there any creative soul who could make similar base with oats instead?

My partner makes a pizza a nice normal mozzarella and cheese pizza then he goes off tangent and adds home made chicken tikka and chips..and about a bucket of chillis…he folds it over like a sandwich and has it with a cup of Barry’s tea….that’s adaptation for ya

I tried an Italian boyfriend once, he took more time doing his hair or whatever the hell it took him so long to look gorgeous doing that I gave up waiting and went to the pub.

Best pizza I’ve ever had was in Naples. Small, frenetic place, I couldn’t stay away. Right now, I’d like a classic pepperoni: light, crispy crust and rich homemade tomato sauce, mozzarella or taleggio, garlic greens or basil and straight into the pram. I’ll have a Pinot noir with that, thanks.

  12. Verbatim

The best pizza I’ve ever had was in Rome. Came across a small hole in the wall, I went in out of curiosity, it extended right back, crowded with dressed-up Italians. Best place ever, when I tried to find it again it had disappeared.
BTW, think it’s a very creative idea to make good use of the two outlets and the novel way of serving the pizza in a pram, it is nice to have a new quiet place to go and have a nosh with friends or family. I like mine served with a bottle of warm milk :-)
