Now the boosters are available to all double-jabbed, is there any resistance from the vaccinated among the Broadsheet commentariat? Or will they get boosted?

Anyone?

“having looked into just about every claim about vaccine safety under the sun.”
.. and into the future too? A mighty man.

For the rest of us without such superhuman foresight of what will be revealed into the long term safety profile of the vaccine, taking it in order to gather that data is what is known as c) experimentation. John seems to like c) more than b). His body, his choice (supposedly). He’s been banging the drum for vaccination since before they arrived.

I always thought John McGuirk came across like a government stooge in disguise. They try to control the narrative from all sides.

      1. freewheeling

I don’t think he’s a stooge. He’s one of the few sensible contrarian voices out there, and has given the gov a consistently hard time on their handling of Covid. Which is why it’s so sad to see him gloss over the very real damage ( > Covid) and harm to people and society that vaccination is doing. He took the vaccines, so I think that’s in part responsible for his personal investment in the vaccine narrative. Who would like to confront what the jabs might really have done to their systems? I hope his commitment to them doesn’t end up making him sicker in the long run than the sickness he is using them to escape from in the short term.

To be fair, John is a little chubby and so may feel he’s on a vulnerable cohort. His argument above isn’t particularly convincing though.

Irony of course is that you were double-jabbed long before the rest of us mad auld feral lad GiggidyGums and as night follows day, you’ll be likely first in the queue ranting and raving for your booster (can’t be that far away) and spluttering (masked hopefully) about how bad the government is to your unlucky vaccinator.

          Mad auld feral lads! Sheesh.

          Scan the code etc. etc.

          ROFL.

Scan the code Boxy. That’s of course if you get time from being presented with you badge from the kiddies klub. There there there.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. If they are giving 2 fingers to the law and public health, what other health and food safety laws are they possibly giving the 2 fingers to?

  2. Liam

yeah of course I’ll take it.

by all means refuse it, but you’ll find your options for going out or leaving the country becoming extremely limited next year. I just booked a holiday, by the sounds of things if I’m not boosted they won’t let me into that country and I’m sure as hell not spending another summer being gouged by west of Ireland businesses.

    1. Cui Bono?

Surely a negative test would be the correct thing to have before entering the country. The vaccines don’t stop you from catching or spreading it.

It’s all about getting us all on the Digital ID pass system.

    2. Lush

I have reluctantly just signed up for a booster, simply because your ‘passe sanitaire’ is not valid without it.
Yes, a negative test counts but is only valid for 24 hours (it was 72 hours up until today), and at 25€ a pop, I just can’t afford it.
I’m in France by the way.

      1. Cui Bono?

Every country is doing the same thing but in slightly different ways to suit their people. The end goal is the Digital ID pass system which will eventually include digital currency wallet, UBI, carbon footprint, health data, social credit system, everything and anything they want can be added to it.

        You should resist this tyranny.

It’s compliance that is allowing it to happen.

The longer we all keep on complying the longer it goes on for and the harder it will be to stop it.

If you’re totally against them, I hope you’re refusing to use yours as much as is absolutely possible, if not 100% of the time.

Democracy was never supposed to be mob rule – we had institutions to protect us from that – those institutions have fallen.

However, they never could calculate the resistance to such coups – and they have miscalculated again.

You may be many, but you are weak.

We are few, but we are strong – stronger than you, anyway.
