Oh, SOQ, I fear you have been savaged by a dead sheep. Only a big syringe of Pfizer will save you now, you inject it into “Cookie” & your troubles are over.

Gay people don’t give the slightest FUPP about kids.
      (They can’t have any.)
Same way they are so blasé about climate change.

They’re extremely difficult to embrace these days.

      1. Nigel

Most of the gay people I know are supportive of climate action. Some are adoptive parents. Others have nieces and nephews. Don’t be thick.

        1. Clampers Outside

Sure according to you men can give birth, and lesbians have tinkles.
So… they don’t all need adoption to have kids.
          Surprised you didn’t mention that.

          1. Bodger

If I myself lacked a sense of humour and felt he was serious as opposed to being an obvious caricature of a homophobe I would ask him to tone it down.

          2. Bodger

Well, Dougal, that person is being serious and that other person is far away from being serious. Serious. Far from serious.

          3. Nigel

Didn’t ask that, Father Bodger. Asked why someone being funny or trying to be funny makes their homophobia ok.

          4. Bodger

He is saying completely over the top lines that a homophobe might say for comedic and ironic effect. Making fun of the absurdity of extreme anti-gayness and laughing at the homophobe.

          5. Nigel

He was being homophobic to make fun of someone, but I don’t see where it was directed at homophobes.

        1. Cookie

          yes Nigel…

I was only trying to make a comparison between Homophobia and Vaccine Hesitation.
You can’t say they aren’t related.

Both ideologies are related, in their absolute stupidity.

          Maybe it’s just me…

          1. SOQ

As a CoVid-19 vaccine hesitant gay man- I can state with absolute certainty that you are talking out of your hole.

Go educate yourself on the big pharma history with HIV and AIDS before spouting such tripe.

          2. Nigel

Most of the vaccine hesitant I know are posters here and they’ve never said anything that would lead me to think they were homophobes. I’m sure it could be endemic in the far right fringe but the disinformation and propaganda has spread a bit beyond them.

Having said that, SOQ praising Republicans in the US for deliberately sabotaging the pandemic responses for political gain has been a lesson in selective amnesia.

          3. E'Matty

Wow, that’s one stupid comment. The Covidian Cultists are the closest comparison given, just like homophobes following RCC teachings, these imbeciles follow the current corrupt voices of authority.

      1. Nigel

No I think they should have sorted out the ventilation issue by now the same way they should have expanded ICU capacity and this is the latest sign that the wheels are coming off their pandemic response and their incompetence is shining through, but I don’t for a second accept the wildly exaggerated hysteria about it either. Getting madder over masks than over killing all those people in care homes. Stupid.

          1. Nigel

I thought I read somewhere, possibly in one of your comments, that the younger generations would be spared the population-culling poison.

        1. John Smith

‘Getting madder over masks than over killing all those people in care homes.’

Are you suggesting that these people aren’t angry about the care home deaths, Nigel? Different stage in the restrictions, different issue, different end in view. Marching won’t bring back the old folks, sadly – it might stop the masking of young children. Don’t confuse the two areas of concern.

          1. Nigel

I don’t know if people are mad about it. if so they’re keeping quiet. But fair enough, one is a current issue, one isn’t. Both are part of the government’s pandemic response. One lead to unnecesasary deaths because pandemic precautions to reduce the spread of the disease were not observed. One is a pandemic precaution to reduce the spread of the disease.

          2. E'Matty

Nigel, that’s completely disingenuous of you. You know well it has been us, those who challenge this nonsense, who have called the policy of pushing sick elderly ppl untested back into nursing homes a crime since day one. I myself have said on here that this policy was a deliberate act to create a death rate to instill terror in the populace. 85% of all deaths in wave 1 were in these nursing and care homes. By March 2020, it was known from both Chinese and Italian data that this was a disease of the elderly. The State knew this and then implemented a policy designed to target that group. You’ve been one of the States most enthusiastic cheerleaders on here. Now, you’re trying to distance yourself from the actions you allowed happen. Projecting blame onto the only group who have called this policy what it was from day one, State sanctioned murder.

          3. Nigel

‘I myself have said on here that this policy was a deliberate act to create a death rate to instill terror in the populace.’

You have said many, many things on here, and this was definitely one of them.

          4. SOQ

Well lets put it this way- throwing sick people into nursing homes was a ‘mistake’ which was repeated in many countries- at best, it was the mother of all coincidences.

          5. Nigel

Either that or official negelct of care homes and lack of pandemic preparedness was pracitcally universal. If it wasn’t then it required the collusion and co-ordination of many people at many levels, so it should be possible to fin proof.

    2. K. Cavan

You’re right, Nigel, Far Right, in fact. It’s about time the Irish hit back at the climate. Climate protests get full offical sanction from the government, not to mention the billionaires who finance the climate emergency scam while enthusiastically wrecking the environment but protesting about blatant child abuse has no such approval, so it’s crystal clear which is a legitimate subject of protest.
People should never, ever protest about something that the Elites don’t want them protesting about.

      1. Nigel

Pretty sure the elites love people protesting about something as trivial as masks instead of anything important. They love people who believe climate change isn’t real, too.

        1. K. Cavan

My goodness, Nigel, never thought I’d witness you going full ratlicker. Without those little paper facerags, we’d all be dead, totally dead.
As for children, they’re not important, at all.

          1. Nigel

‘we’d all be dead, totally dead’

Reduces transmission by 53%, not to be sniffed at, as it were.

        2. John Smith

          ‘as trivial as masks’

Trivial is a subjective label. If it matters enough to such a lot of people then trivial is a questionable assessment, unless you say ‘I think it is trivial’. To which I would reply, ‘I don’t’ and, were my circumstances different, I would be out there in the crowd.

          1. Nigel

It is trivial. If people were treating it as symbolic of government incompetence or as a breaking point over the government’s awful policies I could go along with it, but it isn’t. They actually think masks are monstrous in and of themselves. It’s stupid.

          2. Chris

No, masks are a part of the habituation process. They’re also a social signaler, that others obey & agree with all the tyrannical measures being implemented.

That corporate capture has moved beyond regulatory bodies is beyond doubt. ‘We’ are the ones being ‘captured’ – masks are a potent symbol of this.

          3. Nigel

That’s a completely made-up motive that had to be arrived at by reasoning from a conclusion, ie, if the pandemic is a plot against humanity, how do masks fit in?

          4. Chris

“Masks are a part of the habituation process. They’re also a social signaler, that others obey & agree with all the tyrannical measures being implemented.

That corporate capture has moved beyond regulatory bodies is beyond doubt. ‘We’ are the ones being ‘captured’ – masks are a potent symbol of this.”

            ^ That’s how.

          5. Nigel

Yes. It’s a made-up motivation to create disporportionately savage opposition to something that actually helps at very little cost, because this form of populism works by generating outrage using fictional rationalisations about things that are completely harmless if not highly beneficial without actually threatening anything systemic. Dare I say, fabricated?

          6. Chris

Fabricated? No, though I work far from the field, psychology was were I got my degree. I didn’t create ‘outrage’ in my post, that’s just your attempt at making my points seem unreasonable. They’re not.

A lot of your actual arguments are in bad faith: “to create disproportionately savage opposition”. My comment was a cold reading of a situation, at no point did I try to elicit an emotional response. But, you know that – hence ‘bad faith’.

          7. Nigel

And you know that I was talking about more than just your comment in that part of my comment. The motivation is an invention to make something harmless, low-cost and beneficial seem sinister and evil.

          8. Chris

A poor reading, the mask themselves are not sinister and evil, and I didnt imply they were. Tyranny however is – and the masks are a signifier of obedience to the same.

          9. Nigel

Of course the masks aren;t sinister. That’s why the rigmarole of the utterly strained and convoluted motivation of the tyrants to use them as a tool of opression.

  1. Wilhelm

Shouldn’t most of those kids be in school right now? Pretty sure Infants don’t finish until.1.30 or so.

    1. K. Cavan

Yes, Wilhelm, roll out the tanks, someone’s mitching. What a suitable moniker you’ve chosen, Fuhrer.

      1. Wilhelm

A pretty normal name for someone from “gasp” the Continent.

No kid should, or be encouraged to, miss school because of parents’ own ambitions and misguidance. Homeschooling was a disaster last year. You think kids of parents who don’t really give an f are gonna catch up? They will forever have gaps.

          1. U N M U T U A L

            …that’s a bit harsh of you… ;-)
Nah, because like most politicians he communicates through it!

    1. SOQ

Yes all those children were definitely outside Leo’s gaff screaming paedo- talk about getting desperate.

  2. John Smith

I know quite a few people that RuilleBuille would label anti-vaxxers, though not one of them is actually opposed to vaccination. None of them is even right-wing, let alone extremist.
