I suppose it could be worse. They could be claiming that everyone but them is complicit in a plot to murder most of the human race.

Don’t be ridiculous, Nigel (though it does suit you) the plot only involves the murder of about a billion people. That, combined with keeping enough of the rest of us in energy-efficient pods, eating crap, living in the Metaverse & being regularly injected with whatever toxic “vaccines” the monsters in Big Pharma come up with to counter the effects of the fake Pandemics the media will promote.
That should guarantee a bright, new tomorrow for the 6,000 or so individuals who run the governments, which, of course, they plan to also do away with & replace with private sector corporate structures.
It’s The New Normal, Nigel, haven’t you heard, combined with The Going Direct Reset, of course, as agreed by the Governors of the world’s Central Banks in 2019 in Jackson Hole & currently being marketed as The Great Reset. It’s people like you, who probably thinks we’re fighting against a Deadly Cold who’s common sense was buried under the Fear Porn avalanche.

In my experience its the vaccinated who are so keen to bring it up.

Aside from Gemma, most unvaccinated people are just getting on with things. Its the vaccinated old folks who keep asking about covid and vaccines and oh god did you hear the news about this variant?

The “vaccinated old folks” are the audience who tend to religiously watch RTE and they’ve now been subjected to almost two years of round the clock fear porn. Not just from news and current affairs shows but, while other TV stations seemed to recognise that people needed some respite and escapism, even RTE’s so called light entertainment shows are essentially just weekly updates on how Nathan Carter or Imelda May have handled the Covid restrictions.
I feel very sorry for that generation.

      1. Nigel

It’s the people who get their info from Facebook and other online dsinfo swamps I’d worry about. Some people have been subjected to two years of fear porn that the pandemic is fake and the vaccines are designed to subjugate and/or murder them.

          1. Cui Bono?

Exactly Rominick, the hypocrisy is ridiculous. The amount of misleading statistics RTE have shared with viewers is shocking and they keep getting away with it because they never ever have a dissenting voice on to debunk their lies.

They claim we get our info from Facebook etc. when it’s actually doctors, scientists and raw data from official gov and health authorities.

on the contrary nigel, the mother in law had her ear glued to rte 12 hours a day this past 2 years and was petrified every time someone walked out the door. then she got it with the rest of us, mild dose, and she was mortified. now she’s basically cancelling christmas and won’t see anyone. rte have the poor woman petrified.

          1. Nigel

If she’s in a vulnerable age group surely she was right to be scared? Nobody wants to scare old people, but it’s unavoidable when the virus is so incredibly contagious. It would hardly be preferable to keep them in ignorance. It seems wrong to treat their concerns with as much contempt and dismissal as you tend to see around here.

          2. Micko

            Antibody test Scottser.

Would put her mind at ease perhaps?

She’d be 100% sure she was protected.

          3. scottser

she won’t listen to anyone except joe duffy pricking on about how the unvaccinated are going to kill us all. she needs to hear it from her doctor that she’s ok but she’s a stubborn oul feck at the best of times and won’t ring the office.

How can anyone get behind the idea of allowing the police to stop and detain people because they haven’t a medical cert, which nobody can tell you what the benefits of it are? Sure if you can get behind that why not just get an RFID chip, more convenient and trustworthy, and you can be scanned at the door of any building automatically

Broadsheet have poor form from reposting untrue content from random people on social media. Who knows what actually went on?

Yesterday a tweet from guy saying the unvaccinated are only allowed in food and clothes shops.
A week or so ago there was a lie from signal about measures being rushed in overnight in NZ, a quick google shows those measures are in place for at least 15 years

      1. Gavin

This is true in some cases, but Austria has introduced mandatory vaccines, with fines and imprisonment if you fail to comply, and Germany is in the process, hardly a stretch to say they are stopping people and checking for certs? But I take your point, there’s no context.

Even still I find the idea of COVID passes abhorrent, what real purpose do they serve in a domestic setting?

  4. Shawnee Poole

My bad translation but does someone say 9 police members to detain this woman.
The off center Star of David Christmas decoration in the shop window is eerily a reminder of Germany in the 1930s.

    1. George

It still doesn’t say anything about why the police were asking her to identify herself. A couple of covid skeptics on twitter aren’t a reliable source.

      1. Gavin

I dont speak German, the reasons reason for holding her could be anything. Does anyone speak German, would be curious to know the context

  5. Liam Deliverance

I don’t know what the context of this is but a police officer holding someones wrists or otherwise touching a person without very good reason is idiotic, it’s universally unacceptable behavior and does nothing to help the situation.

Fair play to the lady, she was having none of it.
