Just to point out for the slow of learning, us ratlickers have once again been proven right now that the HSE has started to release information on the asymptomatic cases in hospitals. Half of all hospital cases are asymptomatic i.e. positive PCR for SARS-COV2 but NO Covid-19. Half!!

Was drinking in a packed pub last night (inside unmasked too!). People have moved on. This is now a cold. Remove all restrictions immediately.

    1. Mad

Good for you. What a fool paying through the nose for state sponsored and heavily taxed alcohol with a pile of other bovines stacked into a cattle crush.

    2. North Gay George's Treat

      It’s not a cold. It’s a gateway to kill
Ing people with vaccines. Ehm, in order to enslave humanity … ah … Oh yes, and kill footballers … Eh, The Huxleys .. something, something … The Storm. Duh. Anyone?

While that’s actually good news, the hospitals are still full of people with covid, so good luck to disabled people and people with cancer or any other sort of underlying condition needing treatments, not to mention staff who are out sick or isolating and the other staff trying to make up for it, I’m sure they’ll all be relieved to know that the ratlickers have found a way to feel vindicated about something.

“ the hospitals are still full of people with covid”
        Utter bull.
There are people in hospital with heart conditions, with cancers, recovering from operations who don’t have covid.

Why do you say ‘full’ then?

        1. Cui Bono?

Nigel wants covid to be worse than it actually is because otherwise he has to accept that he’s been fooled.

          1. Nigel

If there are less people in hospital with symptomatic covid at this stage of the pandemic than there were during earlier stages of the pandemic, then apparently we’ve been fooled. You may wonder why it is people don’t really take you seriously unless they already agree with you and why people scoff at your arguments rather than engage with you in serious debate. That’s just one example.

          2. Cui Bono?

They won’t debate because they’ll lose. You’ve lost every argument you’ve had on covid. More and more people are copping on everyday and you will soon be in the minority.

          3. Cui Bono?

I’m not allowed into a cafe, cinema, bar, or restaurant so no I disagree with you. I am a victim of tyranny.

You don’t even realise how your naivety and ignorance is helping this tyranny work. You think it’s all for health haha – madness!

        2. Nigel

‘Why do you say ‘full’ then?’

Because there’s a lot of them and saying something is full of something is a common everyday expression for there being a lot of something. Between nitpicking ‘full’ and ‘all’ you’re really demonstrting your intellectual weightiness, I must say.

And of course all those people you refer to in hospital without covid are being put at serious risk, which was my point.

          1. E'Matty

Nigel, the recent HSE figures reveal half of all cases being called “Covid cases” in our hospitals do not even have Covid-19. They may have SARS-COV-2 but without symptoms, that is not Covid-19. It utterly demolishes the misinformation you and others have been spreading about cases and hospitalisations. Would you have the good grace to admit your errors? Like hell you will…

          2. Nigel

That might be your idiosyncratic ideologically-driven view of what does not count as cases, but for everyone else, it does. I donlt know what error you want me to admit, I’ve never made any statement that all hospital cases are symptomatic, I even said it’s good news. If you really need validation I’m sure Giggidy or one of the other contrarians will be happy to give it to you.

          3. E'Matty

It’s shocking but not surprising that even after two years you still do not understand the difference between SARS-COV2, the virus, and Covid19, the disease. If you do not develop any symptoms (asymptomatic positive PCR) you have SARS-COV-2. You do not have Covid-19. Calling all PCR positive cases Covid-19 is factually incorrect and a clear attempt to scaremonger and inflate the perception of a threat.

Over half of claimed Covid cases in hospital are not Covid-19 cases but instead are mere SARS-COV-2 cases. This is a scientific fact. You’ll cling to your fear as long as you can. That much is clear.

          4. Nigel

That’s a crank minority view for people trying to downplay the pandemic. All or even most covid hospital cases do not need to be symptomatic for the situation to be serious. It may be less serious than earlier in the pandemic for that reason, but with staff out sick or isolating there’s still enormous pressure on health infrastructure and a real threat to anyone in vulnerable categories who needs treatment or ends up in hospital.

        3. GiggidyGoo

Don’t be such a gobpoo Nigel. No wonder you’re not taken seriously, when you write such drivel

          1. GiggidyGoo

Ah Bisted. Another wally who loves to make a show of itself. Birds of a feather.
            ‘b’? ROFL!

          2. bisted

…now Giggser…you wouldn’t be mixing up horrible Yankee apologists with horrible anti-vaxxers…

          3. GiggidyGoo

@ Bisted – you’ve as much sense written as Waffle-o-Nigel (in the same realm as No-space Johnny). Try again.

    I dunno.
Maybe it’s just me but I reckon Phil the Greek would be laughing his nuts off at the idea of civil servants suitcasing drinks out on the lash the night before his funeral ” while the nation mourned.”
I’m not even sure his missus gives much of a toss about the story.
But the Brexit-deniers are working themselves up into quite a lather over Boris.
    They’re in for another disappointment.

    1. GiggidyGoo

      It’s just you alright Charger.
Have you changed your PIN numbers yet, or are they still 1966?
Stiff upper joint and all that.

      1. TenPin Terry

Actually it’s Omicron that is beating a hasty retreat after coming up against the stiff upper lip of an Englishman with no government restrictions.
A great call by Boris to keep Engerland open since the summer – unlike the BOGOF Brothers cowering behind the bulk of Tony Holohan and the political pygmies running Scotland and Wales.
        Time to partaay !

Bodger, Chompsky, John, Nick – whichever of you is responsible for letting that clown back onto the site-

I hope a seagull poos on your new coat.

  4. The Millie Obnoxious™

The Daily Mail keeping things classy, as usual, printing a pic of that man briefly linked to Aisling Murphy’s death.

      1. The Millie Obnoxious™

Thanks, but I don’t really have the same level of interest in Vogue as you seem to. Still it’s good to know you have interests beyond skulking around an internet forum you’ve been banned from numerous times and having a rather sad dependence on gin.

        New year, new you!

        1. TenPin Terry

          Not just gin petal.
I’m a rogue for all sorts of turps – everything except brandy and vodka.
I loves me porter and I’m mad for the vino collapso. Going through a Douro phase at the moment.
Funnily enough I can take or leave shampoo but like Winston I’m partial to the occasional glass of Pol Roger.
How’s life in the convent ?

          1. Cú Chulainn

This is the living proof of the adverse effects of covid.. the step down facility in Cork, where Charger abodes, are short staffed and there is no one around to confiscate his phone or close his internet access. It’s a tragedy… that’s what it is..

      1. George

If you think they “lifted it” rather than paid for it then you don’t know much about how the media works.

In the pub again. Not even 4.30pm and its hopping already. I’m starting to like these new early hours. Was in bed by midnight last night after a great session, which is 3 or 4 hours earlier than usual. Day time drinking has risen to a new level!

      1. E'Matty

I’ve the pass post infection. There’s not a chance in hell I’d tell you which pub I go to. Wouldn’t want to ruin the atmosphere having you show up.

…from what I could make out I think he was saying,
“I’m as mad as hell and I’m not gonna take chris waddle anymore!…
      Chanel 9!!!

But don’t quote me on that. ;-)
