Send in the two lads from west cork

Sad thing is the might of political might of the west could achieve SFA just sour grapes all round
And WTF are we paying these idiots to negotiate on our behalf
Just replace simple Simon with the lads from cork

The bad news is our financial services in Ireland is the biggest for all those that these sanctions are aimed up
Billions are being channelled through our financial centre also the same for Belfast

I wonder will Mickey Mouse Maryin will be slithering over to Ursula for a few bob for the merchant bankers here

Any sanctions on America Britain France Germany, for their continuous wars around the world?

Coveney needs to shut his war mongering mouth and quit the hypocrisy.

The Irish state and its people are neutral in all wars.
Why do these American lackies keep forgetting Irelands peace position in the world.

Everytime Coveney opens his mouth he associates Irelands neutrality to American warfare. Making the island a target.

Naieve as it is Ireland is still respected as peace keepers.

So let’s remain so. Or have a referendum.

This is what happens when you give Mr. Bilderberg a seat on the UN Security Council. He’s not about Irish neutrality.

He was the Salacious B. Crumb to Peter ‘Jabba the Suth’ Sutherland.

I can imagine the Suthlord sitting on his chaise long feeding Salacious B. Coveney maggots of knowledge from his greasy, dripping may directly into Salaciouses open gob, sputum and all.

Is the hypocrisy that gets me…and they behave as if we can’t see it. I mean they aren’t making these statements to convince themselves, do they think the public are morons

      1. Fergalito

They’re aware of the hypocrisy but have chosen their side, I doubt they dwell on it too much

We’re treated the same way we’ve always been treated – FG and FF have no cause to behave otherwise as the electoral pendulum swings o’er the horizontal plane twixt one and the other.

He spat his coffee into his copy of the Carlow Nationalist first thing this morning and got the Russian ambassador to Ireland out of bed immediately to explain the failure of diplomatic effects in Ireland.

    Sanctions

    like clamping for Governments

    all I’m seeing is :

Our eejits here – who are only a budget away from selling naming rights to Leinster House, the Áras, the Four Courts and the Custom House
+ EU Ursula and the gang, + Biden
    +Boris ffs
    coming together into a cooperative
┗|`O′|┛ What are ye picking on us for, and giving us a hard time in the press and the polls,
Putin is the baddy, we’re the nice guys with the funny socks
    ┗|`O′|┛

They could call themselves the Westies

In fairness, and I have said this before
They all need Putin and China and NK to draw focus
and to give themselves something to unite on, a common bond they can share

Because it’s definitely not solving Poverty, or Homelessness,
Or getting a bitta Equality and Sustainability going
Or ending Child Labour and improving literacy,
    or Healthcare
    and all that jazz
That brings them together under a shared agenda

    Is if .ú(k

    1. goldenbrown

Because it’s definitely not solving Poverty, or….

      the boring stuf?
it’s below their pay grade and far too measurable
much easier to prance about playing at ferrero rocher things
and tend to their marketing wheeze…like that instatok puke hopefully nobody will remember come GE time

Irish politicians have been deflecting the issue, but we seriously need to have a referendum on putting the state of neutrality in our constitution. As things stand right now. The EU/NATO is going into a new Cold War with Russia. One misstep, and a could get very hot very fast.
We have being sleepwalked into a European army that could come into armed conflict with the Russian Federation. It’s possible that our geographic location would result in large amounts of American military hardware landing here and making was a justifiable target for the Russians.
Do we want or need this crap.

    1. SOQ

Doubt if it would make any difference but while Ireland may be in the EU, it is not in NATO- at least the republic is not.

The north does the hokey pokey when it comes to the EU these days of course.

Russia has made significant adjustments to protect itself from sanctions. Including the SWIFT system in any sanctions could endanger that system as a whole with greater repercussions for the EU and US than Russia. Russia also hold the ace card of gas supplies. They will almost certainly reduce, if not completely shut off gas supplies if pushed far enough, thereby having an enormously detrimental impact across the EU. This is also the perfect political environment for a “cyber pandemic” the actual source of which could be any number of players, but rest assured Russia will be labelled the culprit.

Hope you all stocked up on fuel, food, medical etc supplies already. Won’t be much time for it if this thing starts to really kick into gear.

As an aside, at 2.02am this morning (02.02.2022) a family member’s laptop screen and Windows went black with a small image in the middle. The image? An image seen in Western news media of the Maidan protest. Little bit weird…2.2.22 also seen in occult beliefs as a portal to change. Let’s hope things deescalate soon…

      “Cyber pandemic” +
“Rest assured Russia will be labelled the culprit” + “occult” .

Armageddon / Apocalypse / The Reckoning.

Can’t come soon enough for you Matty. But then there’ll be no internet for you to say I TOLD YOU SO. Swings and roundabouts eh.

Sooo… you’re not the only member of your family that does their own research on dodgy websites.

    National sovereignty?

It’s a pity the Irish minister for foreign affairs does not take that attitude towards his own country.

Here is a practical way ordinary folk could show some solidarity and support for Ukraine. Anyone attending any of Chelsea’s games should get or make a Ukraine flag (2 blocks one blue one yellow horizontally) and wave them at the camera. It might present an opportunity for enterprising flag makers out there or even people making their own DIY ones. Even find out which games are going to be broadcast on Russian TV and target then. The Champions League final is due to be played in St Petersburg at the end of May but of course UEFA are even more corrupt then Putin’s cabal so it hardly expect them to grow a pair and switch but clubs and fans could use their leverage the way they did to see off the super league.

  7. SailorGerry

The Ukraine has had over 5 years to honour the Minsk agreements, that they signed but never had an intention to implement. A degree of autonomy and the right to speak Russian was part of that agreement.

The yanks recently just dropped off tons of weapons to the Ukies and given the nod to army to shell beyond the line of contact, as they have repeatedly for years, conveniently the ceasefire monitors have now been with drawn.

President Putin will keep the peace at his border and the Ukies just lost the two regions, they will never be coming back, ever.

All that remains is to see how many conscripts they sacrifice on the front, again, stick a fork in it, it is done.

Better place than RTE to keep up to date.

And a bit of a pro Russian propaganda site that reads between the lines.
