    “I’m hearing of”

An admission of not really knowing.

    We all do it :)
But it’s about as scientific as…
    *checks notes*

    Checking ones own notes.

      Exactly, second/third hand nonsense..

Mandate hugging drama queens wailing to be noticed..

Sod off and find a new hobby horse

Dylan obviously doesn’t read the news headlines; basically if it’s not headlines it doesn’t exist for anyone. (COVID is so two weeks ago; it’s now the Ukraine crisis being used to manipulate and financially ruin people)

Come on Dylan your sounding as current as the “Ice Bucket” challenge……

If YOU are high risk YOU protect yourself. Don’t rely on others to offer YOU protection.

I know you’re probably concerned for a loved one ARK. I can understand that.

But the world can’t go on this way for vulnerable people indefinitely.

        It has to end.

Little lady says it’s lovely being able to see everyone’s faces. The staff in her school are reporting a more relaxed working environment, which is good for teachers and pupils alike.

Hopefully we’ll never see them required in school settings again, but preferably not seeing them needed at all.

What Clampers said. That’s it more or less.

Anecdotally, a chap i know tells me that in his sister’s (she’s a teacher) secondary school the Board of Management have instigated a continuation of the mask mandate policy. Pupils unhappy, teachers livid. That said it may have imploded in catastrophe as he mentioned it last week and i haven’t checked in since then.

    1. SOQ

If there is one thing this has revealed- it is the absolute precious self entitlement some teachers have- the spoilt brats are clearly not the pupils.

      1. K.Cavan

+1 SOQ, they’re a disgraceful bunch of cultists with little regard for their pupils mental or physical health. Not all of them but certainly the majority, especially in the UK & USA.

    2. The Millie Obnoxious™

That seems excessive, needlessly so. What purpose does it serve, especially if guidelines now advise that masks are no longer required?

  6. Dr.Fart

*literally a widespread highly transmissible disease everywhere*
Emer from Twitter – “All I see is smiley faces!”

thats coz it’s a microscopic virus. You’ll be seeing tissues and cough drops soon enough.

    1. K.Cavan

Now, you’re not a real doctor, are you, so I’ll have to insist on calling you Mr Fart. For as long as humans have walked the earth, Mr Fart, we’ve inhaled trillions of pathogens, daily. Luckily, we have a multi-layered immune system, well, some of us have. Others may have allowed theirs to be damaged by illegal drug use, mRNA injections being by far the most damaging form this curse has taken.
Virions, though, are very much sub-microscopic, the smaller ones are the size of some larger, complex molecules, no microscope has or ever will be powerful enough to see them, they’re smaller than the wavelength of any visible light, so cannot possibly reflect it. That’s why masks are a complete waste of time, unless you actually want fibres to embed themselves permanently in your lungs, causing a build-up of scar-tissue?

      1. Dr.Fart

coo-ee! I love pseudo-science! oh boy, the medical world, across many decades and across the entire globe are guna feel so foolish when they realise they shouldn’t have been wearing masks their entire careers. They might also be surprised that the ones with healthy lungs, actually don’t have healthy lungs. They’re scarred. If only they’d asked K.Cavan from the Broadsheet comments section, they could’ve saved themselves so much hassle.

        1. SOQ

If you haven’t realised by now that the reason medics wear masks is to prevent bacterial infections rather than viral, then there really is no hope for you.

          1. Nigel

Wow, all that PPE in hospitals to prevent the spread of an airborne virus was a waste of time and effort, then.

    1. The Millie Obnoxious™

My own kid’s school had a nasty outbreak after Christmas, and one just before, but this week her class all seem to have the same snotty headcold. No covid, thankfully.

    2. K.Cavan

Yes, it’s excellent, Cian. Natural immunity via infection, which inoculation is a controlled version of, is the ultimate in protection from any virus.
These kids, however, are extremely unlikely to develop Covid, which is Pneumonia induced by Sars02 infection but no variant of Sars02 will ever give them more than a runny nose, again.
There is no alternative to Herd Immunity, as recommended by all honest virologists, who’ve been banned from social media.

Lockdowns and mask mandates have served us well. The US is not so lucky, in that the K Cavans and SOQs of the US had their way more often, and Biden capitulated to them by focusing mostly on vaccines:

    https://www.theatlantic.com/health/archive/2022/03/covid-us-death-rate/626972/?fbclid=IwAR0N5dqHpP4_6U0p5MJYdFDM2YbemXhKEBJcSp5HkctS13gFQV2sGyRAxpw

‘The United States reported more deaths from COVID-19 last Friday than deaths from Hurricane Katrina, more on any two recent weekdays than deaths during the 9/11 terrorist attacks, more last month than deaths from flu in a bad season, and more in two years than deaths from HIV during the four decades of the AIDS epidemic. At least 953,000 Americans have died from COVID, and the true toll is likely even higher because many deaths went uncounted. COVID is now the third leading cause of death in the U.S., after only heart disease and cancer, which are both catchall terms for many distinct diseases.’

    1. K.Cavan

The Atlantic, it’s a conspiracy theory publishing scam site. Exactly the same percentage of the world’s population, 0.76%, passed on in 2020, as in 2019 & 2018. All these Covid deaths are certified by PCR technology, which will give a positive result for any RNA virus, of which there are hundreds, not to mention various fruits.
To still be scare-mongering, at this stage, that begins to look pathological, Nigel. You’ll be on your deathbed asking hopefully “am I dying from Covid?” & when the doctor replies “what’s covey?” you’ll go to meet your maker with a pathetic, disappointed look on your soul.
That’s sad & disturbed stuff, Nigel, you poor man.
      Get Well Soon.
