But you don’t understand those satellite images are merely part of a much wider spherical world conspiracy theory

          1. K.Cavan

Ah now, E’Matty, you’re just splitting hairs. Putin is a madman, the Russians are Evil & we’re on the side of the good guys, back-slaps all ’round. America has had only 30 years of global hegemony to bring “freem & democracy” to an unwilling world, using “mostly peaceful” wars & here’s Russia, trying to stop the spread of Peace-keeping Nuclear Weapons, messing it all up.
You’d never see the US Army shooting civilians, although that’s mainly because they bomb most of them into the stone age, death or submission before the tanks even arrive. If such footage existed, I’d bet 25 cent that the MSM would defy their corporate owners to bring us the truth.
Even if there’s no evidence of war crimes, the evil Russians under the madman Putin must have committed some, somewhere, sometime. Even if NATO-trained & armed Nazi militias killed a few, ok, 14,000 before this invasion ever started, they are our Nazis, good Nazis, mostly peaceful Nazis. They tried to bring freem, democracy & rule by oligarchs to those people but the ingrates resisted.
Always do what your Uncle Sam says or pay the price, which includes being badmouthed by Nigel & rest of the well-informed telly-addict brigade, a fate worse than death.
Here, though, isn’t it about time that some of Uncle Sam’s cheerleaders got a move on & volunteered to fight? I mean, if Hitler is the new Putin, it’s not acceptable to allow him to conquer Europe, as he’s obviously planning to do with those sanctions he forced the West to impose on us.

The Vanguard Group and Blackrock own controlling shares in both the satellite company Maxar Technologies and in the NYT. The satellite company, can therefore hardly be deemed to be a non-partisan source of information that’s iabove being used to generate propaganda – nor can the NYT, for that matter.

The same uber-wealthy group of oligarchs who run Vanguard and Blackrock are part of the WEF cabal that is intent on using the war in Ukraine as the latest catalyst to implement their so called “Great Reset”. They want a prolonged war in order to a generate a sufficient level of financial and supply chain chaos. We should expect the atrocity propaganda to be relentless – regardless of veracity – until the war has served this purpose. The wider picture is that there’s a class war being waged by these elites on ordinary citizens of the world with Ukraine currently at the front lines.

The World Economic Forum even has a web page for said satellite company:
      https://www.weforum.org/organizations/maxar-technologies

To do a thought experiment, if say, Chinese media made claims about US military activities, citing satellite imagery from a Chinese company, would you deem it to be a partisan source and wait to hear a US’ counter narrative or independent opinions before making a judgement?

      1. Nigel

‘They want a prolonged war in order to a generate a sufficient level of financial and supply chain chaos’

        This is atrocity propaganda.

      2. Broadbag

What proof would be considered untainted though? Most likely Ukrainians are going to stumble upon the corpses of their old friends and neighbours and post it – they are biased as they are Ukrainians and 1 or 2 of the images might be fake or set up.

Russian troops or intelligence aren’t going to admit to killing innocents so that’s out. Footage of guys wearing a white (or blue!) armband isn’t great because anyone can put on an armband for a minute while they shoot a video.

So the best option is layers of verification – images from the scene, corroborated by a 2nd source (video, satellite imagery, local testimony) – investigation, multiple intersecting sources etc seems to be the only way to get definitive proof and that takes an awful lot of time and effort.

On the balance of probability it’s not that much of a stretch to imagine that the invading aggressor, Russia, is most likely to be at fault due to them being the invaders. The ‘Azov everywhere’ option doesn’t seem as likely.

        1. Gerry

“We should expect the atrocity propaganda to be relentless – regardless of veracity”

I for one care about the veracity of what looks like a barbaric war crime, do you, or is everything subsumed into your neurotic, unfalsifiable “Great Reset” narrative?

          1. f_lawless

I do Gerry, but having paid close attention to the propaganda war that was waged on Syria via western corporate media across the board and the dereliction of basic journalistic standards (with a few rare exceptions) , I’m left with no doubt that nothing has changed and the same thing is now happening in Ukraine. Those media corporations aren’t concerned with impartiality and establishing objective truth. They’re part of a so called ‘information war’ and will promote narratives that further that agenda of elite vested interests regardless of whether those narratives are truthful or not. To think otherwise is naive.

          2. Nigel

‘the same thing is now happening in Ukraine.’

You mean Russia engaging in massive denial of war crimes, smearing and blamng everyone and anyone involved, even rescue workers?

        2. f_lawless

I think the time-honoured principle of “cui bono?” should also be a fundamental consideration in these kinds of situations with claims and counter-claims being made.

          1. Nigel

Russia profits internationally by people engaging in denials, sowing dobt and confusion, and on the ground by spreading terror and enagaging in ethnic cleansing.

        3. K.Cavan

No, Broadbag, we will find out about whatever atrocities were committed when Ukraine is defeated & proper investigations can take place, as always, except when it’s US atrocities, because they never happen, ever, shhhhh, shut it!
Until then we have to rely on the MSM’s gossip, fakery & lies.
I’ve seen some harrowing pictures, that look quite convincing, of Ukrainian Nazi atrocities but, you know, they are Nazis after all, so what do you expect? As for those Russians, well they have a historical hatred of Nazis, having defeated them in WW2, at great cost to themselves, so they’re not to be trusted, on that front.
By the end of this, probably early next month, I’m expecting a lot of you guys to have Swastikas in your avatars, such is your enthusiasm for White Hammer, C14, Kiyv-2 & the Azov, Aydar & Dnepr battalions.

      3. Nigel

I mean congratulations, you and others here are now arguing that reporting on war crimes committed by an invading army is bad. Puts that stuff released by Snowden and Assange in a whole new perspective. Whoever broke the Abu Ghraib story was a tool of the Great Reset.

        1. E'Matty

Except Assange wasn’t revealing those crimes to bang the drums of war like the dirty warmongers you’re supporting are. Assange also used documented objectively verifiable evidence. The dirty warmongers you’re cheerleading have a long history of faking such atrocities (and even committing them themselves).

          1. Nigel

How do you know? Assange might just have been a tool of the Great Reset acting in good faith while stoking the fires of insurgencies in US occupied countries with revelations of US atrocities. And you’re cheerleading him, you dirty warmonger.

      4. Nigel

Oh hey you know what’s going to generate financial and supply chain chaos? Climate change! Maybe that was the plan all along as they kept pumping out the carbon.

      5. The Millie Obnoxious™

By that measure, every source is partisan, subject to bias, and cannot be considered a truly independent source. What source in the world is truly independent? (The answer is none.)

Additionally, you’re looking at this particular source with the assumption that “the Great Reset” is a given, which is debatable, making your analysis of this entire thing subject to your own biases too.

        1. bisted

…the stuff released by Snowden and Assange is not mere speculation…even the yanks admit it’s true…

          1. Nigel

As F_lawless says, veracity is irrelevant, it’s all atrocity propaganda to whip up sentiment and prolong war and spread chaos.

        2. K.Cavan

Millie, we all understand that nobody is without bias but you are ridiculously, wildy mistaken if you think anyone other than Klaus Schwab has imagined, indeed reimagined, The Great Reset.
Are you being serious here? You think it’s a conspiracy theory? What do you imagine members of government, including our own wee Nazi Coveney does, in Davos? What do you imagine Schwab’s book “The Great Reset” to be about?
If you actually think it’s not a very, very real thing, your hold on sanity, rather than any analysis of any event, is extremely questionable & you’re currently living in Denial, the capital of Millie-world.

          1. The Millie Obnoxious™

I don’t think I’m the deluded one here, buddy.

When you can make a coherent point without ranting like a madman on the side of the road, you might have more success though.

    3. SOQ

That I even get a mention by this TenPin Terry sectarian character is interesting- and I say character we all know that is what it is. Who or more importunately what is behind it remains to be seen, but there is a known strategy of let us say- making yourself centre stage. Either that or a mental illness I suppose.

As for the coordinated war porn and blame game, I have no idea and neither does anyone else. A few grainy images and a sob story from the likes of NYT mean frig all. It could be real and it could be a false flag, but if it was the Russians then it was a rogue act because it is most definately not in their interests.

Putin recently quipped that Zelenskyy was very good at his job- which is an actor. All this ‘hero of Ukraine’ bs is nauseating. By declaring neutrality from both blocks, he has the power to ensure it never such happens again- but he won’t- because he is a bought and paid corrupt to the core puppet.

      1. Nigel

‘ but if it was the Russians then it was a rogue act because it is most definately not in their interests to do something like that.’

You have absolutely no idea if this is true. It’s just as likely that they decided it was in their interests to take punitive measures, or to inspire terror as that it was a whole bunch of soldiers running riot.

‘By declaring neutrality from both blocks, he has the power to ensure it never such happens again’

If that article published yesterday is anyting to go by, Putin wants Ukraine wiped off the map. Interestingly it asserted, just as you’ve been doing all along, that Ukraine is irretrievably Nazi, and that this Nazism is intrinsically part of Ukraine looking west to becme part of Europe. You’ve been pushing propaganda on behalf of an explicit ethnic cleansing project.

      2. Rob_G

“Either that or a mental illness I suppose.”

        – interesting terminology, there. What term would you use to describe the behaviour of a gay man who spends his every waking hour shilling online for a homophobic despot?

        1. SOQ

I am far from mentally ill sweetheart- if that is all you have to cling onto then you are wasting your time.

          1. paul

dangerous levels of hypocrisy is probably approaching mental illness. Take care of yourself.

          2. TenPin Terry

It seems like only yesterday when Queenie was calling for a kinder, gentler discussion on Broadsheet.
Oh hang on, it was only yesterday.
Now anyone who doesn’t agreed with his laughable conspiracy theories must be a foreigner or mentally ill.
Not a great advertisment for Ireland’s gay community and the abuse it has received over the years …

          3. paul

SOQ, you won’t talk though. You’ll roll in with an opinion formed in dangerous places, people will object, you’ll strawman and insult your way around responding, won’t address valid criticism of your views, vanish and then reappear elsewhere with the same views.

Someone’s views must change with evidence and experience. You see X, interpret it as Y and frustrate yourself when called out. At least own your own opinions, start there.

          4. TenPin Terry

” Come back under your own name ” writes someone anonymously…
Poor old Queenie is rapidly losing the plot.
Basically journalists from across the world are chronicling the genocide in Ukraine and all he can respond with are insults to posters who highlight their work and deranged buzzword conspiracy theories like false-flag operations and shills for shape-shifting lizards.
Welcome to the new David Icke and equally as ridiculed.

          5. SOQ

So you are jumping into line for this too- just like you did for the clot shots- it’s a wonder you haven’t fingered an a goading anti Irish sectarian angle by now.

You are not funny mate, not in the slightest. Anyone who has to create personas in their own head in order to hide their inadequacies, never is. A fantasist maybe- but not definately not funny.

        2. Mad

          Try stay on point Rob.
SOQ doesn’t invent several other characters to back his main one up, or entire fantasy holiday excursions in the mid Atlantic

      3. jonjoker

SOQ, the NYT seems to fill their front page with war porn every day, as though there was nothing happening in the US never mind the rest of the world.
I’d call that shilling for war.

I certainly wouldn’t trust a single thing they publish without plenty of evidence from the other side agreeing with them. Really there’s no reason to believe them, or any source under US official influence.

As John Stockwell, ex-CIA, wrote about US covert operations:
“These things kill people. 800,000 in Indonesia alone according to CIA’s estimate, 12,000 in Nicaragua, 10,000 in the Angolan operation that I was sitting in Washington, managing the task force. They add up. We’ll never know how many people have been killed in them. Obviously a lot. Obviously at least a million. 800,000 in Indonesia alone. Undoubtedly the minimum figure has to be 3 million. Then you add in a million people killed in Korea, 2 million people killed in the Vietnam war, and you’re obviously getting into gross millions of people…”

        1. Nigel

This is probably true, but Russia was also engaging in these covert activities, and it’s Russia that just invaded and is on the ground in Ukraine, not the US.

    4. K.Cavan

Maybe you should get out to the pub, Terry & chat to some random individual there.
They’re sure to be more informed than you, right?

      1. Dinkum

What’s needed today is a team dispatched to Ukraine by the UN to examine the evidence regarding the alleged war crimes
Forensic examination of the corpses needed to establish the truth
If indeed Russia is found to be responsible immediate removal from the UN and it’s institutions

If not every country sitting at the UN to resign and effectively make the UN defunct as an organisation working for peace
This is not a Syria situation or an Iraq as Russia a superpower and a nuclear power which is far different as with a war with Russia like China means we could have a nuclear war and this must never happen
Before WW2 we had the League of Nations
That institution failed and if the UN fail to act it’s unfit for purpose as the League of Nations was.

Sadly it seems there is no going back if these were war crimes committed by Russia and if so there is no place for them in the worlds order

      1. Vlad X. Novichok

Nope. He’s not. At all. You however are disgusting human for excusing, justifying and demonstrably getting off on the monsterous behavior of Putin and his minions.

In other words, you are a toady choad hot for Putin boner snot. Be honest. You love it.

        1. E'Matty

And you’re a dirty warmongering propagandist with faux concern for the people of Ukraine, using their plight for cheap point scoring in online discussions. You’ve only appeared on this site since this war started and you smell awfully like a plant. A rotten dirty paid for plant.

          1. Vlad X. Novichok

            Lolololololol…

Toadie choads are a funny old bunch and with moar attempted reverse uno too.

      2. stephen moran

Well I’d certainly put the following into the snuff movie category – from state media published Monday.

“…besides the elite, a significant part of the masses of the people, who are passive Nazis, are accomplices to Nazism. They have supported the Nazi authorities and indulged them…The just punishment for this part of the population is possible only as the bearing of the inevitable hardships of a just war against the Nazi system.

The name Ukraine can seemingly not be retained as the title of any fully denazified state formation on the territory liberated from the Nazi regime. Denazification is inevitably also deukrainisation – a rejection of the large-scale artificial inflation of the ethnic element of self-identification of the population of the territories of the historical Malorossiya and Novorossiya begun by the Soviet authorities. Unlike, let’s say, Georgia or the Baltics, Ukraine, as history has shown, is unviable as a national state, and attempts to ‘build’ one logically lead to Nazism. The Banderite elite must be liquidated, its re-education is impossible. The social ‘swamp’ which actively and passively supports it must undergo the hardships of war and digest the experience as a historical lesson and atonement.’

In short, this is a call for the removal of Ukraine, not just parts of its territory, or EU or NATO membership. It also implies terrible violence at a time when Russian state TV, with no irony, states the footage of atrocities in Bucha “…was done by professionals, probably British. They’re the best in the area of information operations. [They know how] to place the bodies correctly, do everything correctly, create a nice picture for the necrophiliac Western consciousness.” They even allege that the town of Bucha was chosen because it sounds like “butcher” in English. That is the level of homophone conspiracy theory now on state TV.

Now if your happy to swallow that brick then I’d suggest it is you who require a moral conscience transplant and the application of those libertarian principles you claim to hold so dearly a bit more generically rather than reserve them for inane petty self indulgent side projects and highly selective hobby horses

        1. SOQ

As anyone from back in the day up north will testify, British intelligence is very experienced in such false flag operations. We know that the US’s fingerprints are all over Ukraine so it would be no surprise if same with the British- highly likely in fact.

If it is a false flag operation then you can be pretty certain the British were involved- absolutely.

Things are getting interesting in France where Le Pen is closing the gap on the Granny Grabber as this year’s presidential race draws to a dénouement.
The latest opinion poll has Marine Le Pen three points behind Napoleon Macron.A month ago it was 18 points.
Macron’s failed appeasement of the Butcher of Bucha hasn’t helped but perhaps it’s just Traditional France beginning to re-assert itself over Millennial France.
I expect Macron to prevail however – the residents of French OAP homes are safe from his attentions for a while yet…
    https://mobile.twitter.com/BFMTV/status/1511206520943521795

    1. Verbatim

I see this as a ruse that they use at nearly every election to get people out to vote, fewer and fewer people are showing up to vote at each election. So, they up LePen in the polls and the result is a CRIE au SCANDALE and out to vote to elect Macron.
Bismarck’s famous expression – “People never lie so much as after a hunt, during a war, or before an election.”

    2. Janet, dreams of an alternate universe

how many times has Le Pen almost got there until the heroic people rush out to save the country, for as long as I can remember

      1. SOQ

Has she not has a swing because of Macron’s leper pass and clot shot mandates Janet?

I mean there was some pretty serious street protests and riots over that? Or is the left picking up that vote?

      2. jonjoker

Le Pen is wheeled out every election to make sure the socialist candidate drops out, leaving the same people as always in control.

This trick is now being used all over Europe, with the traditional centre-right always being the beneficiaries.

Because the centre-left sold out long ago, they are happy to play the game, and when they decide to retire from politics they are rewarded via the revolving door.

    3. Dinkum

I would say le pen will win this
I lived in france for near on a year in the south of france in carcassonne during the crash and we saw the fall of socialism under Hollande
And down there it was a hot bed for Marie lepens reformed party or let’s say faux reformed party
Thanks to the flow of migrants france is getting more and more right wing .
The far right is growing all over Europe sad to say
Get ready to see le pen as president

      1. SOQ

Yes immigration is a growing topic which she is bound to get a lift from.- especially as most of it is from Muslim countries. The French take great pride in their culture, as evidenced by the fact that so many will not speak English- even though they can.

    1. Nigel

Russia will never, ever, ever admit there were war crimes in Ukraine, no matter how much evidence in produced. They will latch on to every crazy conspiracy theory and blame anyone and everyone else.

      1. ce

Yup – expecting a lot of these types of conspiracy theories from the BS-Putin Brigade over the next few days and months…

… the days of VAIDS seem like simpler time now…

      2. stephen moran

The trouble with the binary world of post truth of “alternative facts” is that we’ve gone way beyond even the traditional “unless I see the mark of the nails in his hands, and put my finger in the mark of the nails and my hand in his side, I will not believe” burden of evidence. The concept of beyond reasonable doubt just doesn’t really cut it with some people anymore who may find some issue with the jury of their peers system of justice someday

      3. Dinkum

More reason for an urgent UN investigation unit to investigate the alleged war crimes from impartial nations if even that can be found
Todays meeting of the UN will be very interesting if indeed they agree to dispatch a team to Ukraine
Before evidence can be tampered with from either side like what was attempted in Syria

    1. SOQ

“All attendees at the All-Ireland final at Croake Park on September 11 were required to show a vaccine passport. …Details are scant as to what led up to Mr. Murphy’s death, which is standard operating procedure with these deaths of young people. Mr. Murphy “died suddenly in his sleep” on the morning of April 1, according to reports. The foregoing (dying in their sleep) is becoming quite common for post-injection deaths, on the same level of dying “suddenly and unexpectedly.” Mr. Murphy’s body was found unresponsive in his dormitory at DCU, according to one source. A few Twitter users and bloggers are saying it was suicide.

There’s no definitive evidence that shows Mr. Murphy received the injections…..

French electricity is mostly nuclear, with (lethal) uranium mines in Niger and processed in France, thus largely shielded from the vagaries of the petroleum market.

There is a scam involved though – I don’t think the true cost is passed on to the consumer (or even known) as the military “buy” the spent fuel, for reprocessing as nuclear weapons thus subsidising the whole electricity generating operation.

I heard a philosopher give a talk many years ago, in which he posited the notion that large numbers of people have no inner monologue & merely react to stimuli, returning to bovine inertness as soon as a stimulus was removed. I scoffed, within my own internal monologue, at the time but the last two years have made me reconsider his proposal.

I do not believe for one second anything the media is pushing with regards to atrocities in Bucha.

They lied about Saddam and the WMD, they lied about Dr. Assad gassing his own people, they lied about Colonel Gadhafi committing genocide, they lied about the babies in the incubators in Iraq, they lied when they told the Russians NATO would not expand to the East, they lied about how dangerous Covid 19 actually is and how safe and effective the clot shots are. The media is incapable of truth and my best guess is they have not started being honest now.

If we need to start talking about war crimes, the last 4 US presidents would be a good place to start. Not that the US recognizes the authority of the UN on its citizens, or UNCLOS for that matter, rank hypocrisy writ large.

    Brain-dead retards.
    You’ll notice it’s hyphenated.

What amazes me, is when a verifiable story of real world abuse crops up from the Ukraine side and it gains traction, the western media corporations in conjunction no doubt with several of the intelligence agencies that support NATO concoct a fabrication, ooh look, a squirrel, and it retreats from the media cycle.

Irony might well be defined by the pseudonym of TenPin Terry; with two capitalized letters in a single name lecturing others on grammar? Alternatively he could just be a slumlord so lazy and rum addled he could not summon the strength to hit a space bar?

Chin up old bean, sun well past the yard arm….. Nordes gin with Fever Tree classic is on offer at my palatial imaginary balcony this evening…..

The US shows its true colours in the law it enacted below under Bush.

Rules for thee, but not for me is the basic gist of things.

FJB has no moral perch on which to stand to peer up and look at the crack of President Putin’s behind.

I am ready for a multi-polar world, where all nations are treated equally and disputes settled amicably. This will not happen until the US gets its long over due wake up call and it’s money refused as worthless garbage.
