      Planet Of The Apes.
….a technical error in the graph, the x and y axis were inadvertently reversed by the resident dad rock fan,sur it’s only rock n roll:)

  1. TenPin Terry

According to Wiki ‘ monkeys, including apes, can be distinguished from other primates by having only two pectoral nipples, a pendulous penis, and a lack of sensory whiskers. ‘
That must be why the fragrant Lady TenPin always gives me a banana after my weekly wet shave.
    Marvellous™

Anyway the Shinners are likely to blame… just like everything else that happens in the world…

They called up their friends at the Wuhan lab, told them to release the genetically modified Monkey Pox so that it would reach the North late May/early June…

By July 12th they’ll all be in lockdown and there will be no Orange Marches…

    Think about it… you know it’s true…

  3. E'Matty

I understand only symptomatic carriers transmit monkeypox, yet the narrative going around is that this is being transmitted by men having physical relations, within the gay community. Does it not seem unlikely that someone suffering a rash and blisters would be engaged in such activities? Or that the other party would not go, hang on a minute mate, wtf is that? It all feels a little like the AIDS crisis and the attempt to portray it as a gay men problem. Any thought’s? I’m really not paying much attention to this latest “scare” tbh, but that struck me as somewhat odd.

    1. Commenter #1

Rashes and blisters are not the only symptoms of monkeypox. Backache, fever, chills, headache also included.

      So that explains that.

      1. E'Matty

Yeah Commenter #1. But how often have you felt up for the ride when suffering from backache, fever, chills, headache etc? Sounds fishy, no?

        1. Commenter #1

If the argument against the possibility of monkeypox transmission is “people in some physical discomfort don’t have sex”, then I am unpersuaded.

    2. SOQ

Absolutely E’Matty- I have a very strong sense of déjà vu about all of this, especially the rush to label it as the new gay disease. What is worrying is that the hard of thinking are so brainwashed now as to actually believe what they are being fed.

As for those who think that they wouldn’t use gay men to peruse an agenda- think again. They already have, they let people die while they fought over drug patients. And the very same has happened with early intervention treatments for CoVid-19, although that is increasingly being seen for what it is.

The problem is that when large groups of people have compromised immune systems, all sorts of weird stuff can happen. It may be vaccine related, it may not- nobody knows at this stage- but nothing should be ruled out.

      1. TenPin Terry

Including, presumably, it being a virus where a “notable fraction of cases” in the latest global outbreak are happening among gay and bisexual men according to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Bit early for mounting your high horse don’t you think ?

      2. Kin

SOQ anyone who thinks that is just an ignorant peasant in your reply to e Matty
Maybe in every school they should show the great mini series it’s a sin
I knew many of the gay community in Dublin in the 80sand90s
And quite a few developed HIV
They had to hide with shame and stigma in a very intolerant Ireland
I cried when I saw it’s a sin and was surprised it did not sweep every accolade world wide
Beautiful people with such gentle spirits

    3. Micko

“hang on a minute mate, wtf is that?”

Words uttered by many a bloke who went home with the wrong Thai lady…

      1. E'Matty

Ha,very true Micko. Though from what I hear, many are quite happy to proceed even after this discovery.

      2. SOQ

Just on that subject- why does Thailand have so many ladyboys? Is it a cultural thing? It doesn’t seem to generate the same political controversy as in western countries.

        1. TenPin Terry

Ask Google and ye shall find.

          https://ladyboyway.com/thailand-ladyboys/3-reasons-why-there-are-there-so-many-ladyboys-in-thailand/

The fragrant Lady TenPin – quiet at the back – and I had a long chat with one after she fell off her motorbike in front of the open-air bar we were have a snifter in in Phuket.
She was a bit dazed so we got her a stiff one.
She calmed down after the drink, was ever so grateful, and stayed with us until a pal came to help her sort her bike out.
A gentle but rather brave soul we thought.

        2. Kin

          No it’s about prostitution
It’s a way of life outside poverty
I remember beggars would cut off toes and fingers and leave them pretty manky then go begging they found it increased the money in their begging bowls

We cannot begin to comprehend life in these countries
It’s the same for the phillipines and Shri Lanka
Years ago gangs were kidnapping the homeless and selling their organs on the black market and those desperate enough to save their lives never ask questions where the organs come from

    4. Kin

It can be spread by salver droplets big ones compared to small ones
      In other words it’s airborne
So I would wear a mask when out failing that when everyone goes ape a diet of bananas

      1. Barry

Small pox was eradicated in 1978 so I don’t think anyone is treating it. Generally chicken pox is treated without use of drugs but the drug most commonly used is also used for herpes. That doesn’t somehow mean that small pox and herpes are equivalent either.

The more severe strain of small pox had a mortality rate of 30%. It causes horrible blisters all over the skin resulting extensive scarring and sometimes blindness. The man is talking rubbish.

  4. Kim The Cardassian

Calvin Robinson is bit of a pox himself. No one is talking about vaccines or lockdowns for Monkeypox except right wing media. Monkeypox is not a new virus and it is a mild virus. It can be treated with existing vaccines. Its not really a major concern, its just unusual to have outbreaks outside endemic countries.

And of course people were talking about it last year, there was an outbreak in Wales in June, and a larger outbreak in Texas in July.

But ya know GB News, love a good bit of pot stirring to drum up sharing of the nonsense videos.

    1. Daisy Chainsaw

Gbeebies linking black men and gay sex to a disease and Stormsheet promoting it. Let’s shoehorn in Schwab, Gates and the Great Reset for the craic!

    2. Ian - oG

More media fearmongering from Stormsheet about this issue.

Unless people are going to start squeezing the pustules and rubbing the fluid into open wounds it’s pretty safe to say this is not something to be worried about.

      1. Bodger

Ian-oG and Daisy, don’t you think calling us Stormsheet is a bit much? And why would you haunt a gaff so named?

        1. ANO

It’s definitely an unfair comparison but you could be more discerning at times with the Twitter accounts and sites you choose to promote while still being able to push your preferred agendas.

        2. Daisy Chainsaw

          Is it though?

You constantly link to sites and organisations that promote racism and homophobia.

          1. Daisy Chainsaw

The message is easily linked to the racism and homophobia of the messenger. Maybe try less racist and homophobic sources… but they probably wouldn’t suit your antivax, conspiracy agenda.

          2. johnny

your ‘coverage’ of the US is straight up Proud Boys,no attempt at balance.
            drunk nancy
            stupid slow joe
            MAGA is GREAT
the threats from your resident protected physo are unhinged as he is.
            should i say or should i go…ZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzz
let me know when he finally leaves

          3. TenPin Terry

I know how you feel Bodger old sport.
The same joker has today accused me of ” anti-English racism, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, makes fun of the dead, dying and disabled.”
Anti-English I ask you ! That’s a new one to add to the list.
I’ve a good mind not to keep him updated on me holliers …

( Gin & tontons by the pool, sun dipping over the hills, night of tomfoolery ahead etc, etc. You know the score …)

          4. Bodger

I don’t trust anything out of the mainstream media and most of those sites you mention are controlled opposition. I try and use You Tube videos mainly so as not to frighten you.

          5. Commenter #1

Bodger and Nick are very careful and rigorous in what they post, so that it meets the high standards of Broadsheet.

Like the time they linked to a white supremacist website but then removed the link after some mild pushback. Which was weird now that I think about it; why shoot the messenger like that?

          6. Nigel

‘Nancy is a lush and Joe has dementia. The rest is your own mind.’

The election was also stolen, Hilary was buying children from the basement of a pizzeria, Trump has a secret plan to overthrow a satanist pedophile cabal that consists of every single person who doesn’t like Trump, climate change isn’t real and the vaccines are posion. Bodger, however, is neither left nor right, which is the sort of thing you say when you’re addicted to the extreme right wing talking points (that are nonetheless working their way to the mainstream) but to admit it would contradict their image of intellectual independence.

          7. Nigel

‘I try and use You Tube videos’

Like Qanon avoiding the fact that Q posted on 4chan, notorious for posting lies and hoaxes after every disaster, terrorist attack or mass shooting, while critiquing mass shooters for technique. Wouldn’t want to ‘frighten’ anyone by showing where your stories really come from.

          8. ANO

Johnny, Broadsheet aren’t obliged to present a balanced view on anything so you can’t take them to task for pushing the right wing US agenda.

They do have an obligation as a platform for the sources they choose to promote and drive traffic to though and some of their choices in that regard reflect poorly on them.

          9. Bodger

What you mean is we don’t run a slavish pro-Democrat agenda like the rest of the Irish media. They are all the same side, as far as I can make out.

          10. Daisy Chainsaw

not “slavishly pro-Democrat”? But slavishly pro racist and homophobic sites.

          11. Barry

Interesting that you don’t trust the “mainstream media” when today you had to delete a fake news post that blatantly misrepresented a clip taking from a mainstream news programme in Australia.

Your coverage of the US is slavishly pro-Trump.

          12. Bodger

Barry, the key word is ‘delete’. We are trying our best. On the US front, I support neither party, but the anti-Trump stuff was hysterical and demented and usually wrong (Russia collusion hoax). Meanwhile, Biden is now everything you warned us Orange Man would be.

          13. SOQ

Homophobic sites like what? The main homophobia I see comes from certain commentators on this site, particularly in relation to this latest monkey BS- and I am pretty well qualified to spot it.

I notice you never answered bodger’s question on ‘why would you haunt a gaff so named (meaning Stormfront)?’

In my opinion there is a certain clique who not only do not want topics like lockdowns and vaccines discussed. but will actually try and disrupt any conversation flows on such.

Except they have no right to do so- none whatsoever.

          14. ANO

Not at all, it doesn’t matter what ideology you’re pushing more that you accidentally promote some sources that have the bang of hate crime off them while doing so.

          15. Nigel

            ‘So what.’

Well, truth and accuracy were never your priority, in fairness.

            ‘run a slavish pro-Democrat agenda’

No, you slavishly repeat Republican talking points no matter how dumb.

            ‘accidentally promote’

            No accident, at best, indfifference.

          16. Daisy Chainsaw

Ah my little SOQpuppet, back from the shortest flounce in history!!

Why do I stay? Because I can.

Did you search all of Ballymena for me last night?

          17. Commenter #1

Some might argue that the pro Trump stuff was, and continues to be, hysterical and demented and wrong.

            But you’ve identified your niche.

          18. Nigel

‘but the anti-Trump stuff was hysterical and demented and usually wrong (Russia collusion hoax)’

Coming from someone who (still?) claims to ‘trust the plan?’ Who told me Mueller was engaged in something you called ‘a reverse ferret?’ That Trump (still?) has all the evidence of an electoral hoax? Puh-leeze.

The Biden that we were warned of was someone who wouldn’t take the fight to the Republicans or his own Blue Dogs. Meanwhile Trump’s appointees are ending abortion access, moving on to contraception and maybe even mixed-race marriage – they also just ruled that people imprisoned unjustly can’t use new evidence on appeal! – while Republicans are busy banning books and discussions of race in US history in libraries and schools and criminalising trans people. But anyone who warned about this stuff was being hysterical and demented!

          19. SOQ

Who are you saying is homophobic Daisy?

Are you even capable of answering a straight forward question?

          20. K. Cavan

Where’s Nigel, he needs to post a series of rants, listing things that are obviously true, half-truths & complete lies, accusing or implying that everyone who disagrees with him on any subject must believe all these things.
We need a brigade of Strawmen, immediately…. Nigel?

          21. bisted

…oh Nigel…you keep trying to obfuscate the US elections…crooked Hillary lost because she failed to get her vote out…brexit won a stonking majority for the same reason – thats democracy…

          22. Nigel

‘accusing or implying that everyone who disagrees with him on any subject must believe all these things’

Bodger has at different times claimed to believe all these things. He may have changed his mind on some of them, of course.

          23. Nigel

I may have whinged, I never made any claims about the election – as I recall, every time Trump came up YOU were the one who started whinging about Hilary – you’re doing it again right now! – just like every time someone criticises Putin YOU start whinging about Biden.

          24. bisted

…I suppose I am…but hey, crooked Hillary and sleepy Joe…sure it’s the gift that keeps on giving…

          1. ANO

TBF Gemma’s descent into full blown homophobia came after her torrid love affair with BS had ended.

          2. Commenter #1

            Maybe.

Well let’s go more recent then, and fondly remember the time that Nick decided that linking to the StoneToss website was a great idea, supported by Bodger.

          3. ANO

There’s no defending that, at least not from me, leaving the comic up with the URL for the site visible on it was unfortunate.

          4. SOQ

            @ Commenter #1

You do understand that Gemma O’Doherty has several gay male couple friends and that her sampled comments were to do with the single gay lifestyle? Probably not. But the again- you probably didn’t want to know in the first place.

She has gained respect around South Armagh these days apparently- no other journalist pointed out the obvious in regard to the murder of a certain guard in Louth.

      2. Barry

What do you mean you don’t support either party? You actively support Qanon which is pro-Trump.

I’d say the key word is “untrustworthy”.

  5. Commenter #1

“I don’t trust anything out of the mainstream media”

Weird, because a quarter of today’s posts rely on reporting from the BBC, the IT, the Independent, and RTE.

    Weird!

      1. TenPin Terry

        And Broadsheet is free.
Amazing how many people forget that.
If you don’t like it ‘ eff off.

      2. U N M U T U A L

BS critics in a nut shell…

“Boy, the food at this place is really terrible.”

“Yeah, I know, and such small portions.”

        :-D

        1. Commenter #1

If Johnny Hanson himself can’t handle criticism from a minority of his commentariat then I overestimated him

    1. K. Cavan

There are degrees between believing everything the MSM says, Commentator, a frankly naive approach, mostly engaged in by low IQ normies & the more intelligent approach of not trusting the MSM, which obviously allows that they might be truthful about something that’s not part of the Globalist Agenda that the MSM promotes to enable it to survive, financially, now that it’s appeal has become so selective.
Their more ludicrous disinformation & lies are padded with mundane, unimportant truths. I believe them when they give sportsball results, even their weather forecast, though the accuracy of the latter doesn’t inspire much credulity when they tell us, for the 20th time, that we only have X number of years to save the planet by giving all our money to Oligarchs.

        1. Nigel

‘Trump has all the evidence, Mueller’s running a reverse ferret, Hilary was ordering child sex-slaves from a pizza-menu..’

          1. Bodger

Your Russia Collusion Hoax has reverse ferreted and is already implicating Hillary and Obama. On pizzas, If you go to the story about the Ukrainian refugees earlier you can read up on Hillary and Bill’s role in freeing a child trafficker. And on the steal, they do have it all. It was a sting. Just watch.

          2. Nigel

‘Already?’ Funny how members of Trump’s campaign and administration kept ending up in jail, but not Obama and Hilary, as promised. Where’s the reverse? Where’s the ferret?

‘On pizzas, go look at something or other completely unconnected.’

If the steal was a sting, nobody got stung, which defeats the purpose of a sting. Aparently Pence nearly got hung, does that count?

          3. Nigel

Huh, almost forgot the point – you’re neither left nor rght, but you LOVE all these right wing conspiracy theories!

          4. ANO

That’s the good stuff Bodger and is wasted buried away below the line!

A weekly “Bodger’s World” post in that vein would be a lot of fun.

  6. Mad

    Thanks all
Look at least do the decent thing and fupp right off if you don’t like it here
