It Takes A Village

This morning.

Ninch, Laytown, county Meath.

The planning application (above) for an emergency temporary village with 569 detached homes for Ukrainian refugees has now been lodged with Meath County Council.

The application for 33-square-metre detached single storey properties on almost 16 hectares of land is by Melvin Properties Ltd and Ketut Limited.

They are seeking permission to build an ’emergency temporary accommodation campsite’, for a period of five years.

      Ghastlygrad!

Would you really begrudge someone from being forced to live in such a place?

569 units seems a massive amount, with each unit being 33 square metres – for how many occupants?

Hard to think of how to make somewhere so grim and depressing. Makes Ballymun of old look like the Hilton.

      1. Kin

And the price per unit over €200 grand for a box kitted out max €15 grand
Google garden shed with all the whistle and bells

  1. SOQ

Giving that the government will be paying the rents, should they not be stating up front what they would be charging per unit? I doubt if the planning permission can take account of such but someone should- otherwise they could milk it.

          1. SOQ

No idea what that means, nor care less. I have better things to be thinking about than some stupid troll trying to spread their poison.

        1. Ian - oG

Says the guy who was threatening people on here?

Jog on Scrappy Doo, nobody cares.

    1. K. Cavan

Uh-oh, Professor, this is strictly for Globalist Kudos, no brown envelopes. Bill Gates, Ursula Von Der Layen & George Soros will be patting Varadker & Martin on their little heads & they’ll wag their little tails, knowing they’re the best boys in the class, the feckin eejits.

    1. Kin

I take it alannah is his wife often referred to as Ann
This alone is enough that this development must be blocked

  2. Frank

I saw that ‘Candle of Grace’ thing on the RTE news a couple of weeks ago and thought to myself ‘that is child trafficking’.

      1. Frank

I found it exceptionally odd that the children (unaccompanied) were evacuated from Chernobyl region when reports from there at the time stressed that both the Ukrainian & Russian military were in collaboration guarding the facility from either side separatist attack. These weren’t orphaned children from the Donbass. Also it wasn’t even explained if they were indeed orphans or what their parents status was??
Lily Luzan’ explanation that they did this covertly because previous escorts of children came under Russian attack also seemed entirely unbelievable. Is there any reports of this???

Is this a way to extricate undesirable individuals from the Ukraine on the pretence that their children have been evacuated and they need to be repatriated????

        1. Kin

I would say child trafficking is rife and these kids will be smuggled like drugs and migrants from viet nam like the poor feckless all was it 30 that died in that truck in England driven by a northern Irish guy

          1. SOQ

Ukraine has a track record in human trafficking and especially child trafficking. What authority has that person to not only separate those children from their parents, but bypass all the Irish authorities too?

          2. Kin

Even worse SOQ It’s the centre of the surrogacy industry
Famous for puppy farms for human cubs
The rich and famous travelled there before the war to buy their children
Much like the Irish mother and baby homes of the 1950s and beyond and before

        2. K. Cavan

Well, just to set the scene, Ukraine is the number one exporter of Babies for Sale. Apparently, a mere €9k for a blue-eyed, blond-haired, newborn.

          1. Sara

Boxing barbie seems to know a lot about child trafficking. That doesn’t surprise me.

    1. Kin

Candle of grace run by a Belarusian couple who emergrated here
      Lilly Lisandro
The only mistake was they had a row with Tulsa which is a pretty unaccountable organisation
We’re Tulsa not involved in tarring the whistleblowing Garda with the child abuse brush and because of their incompetence a child was moved back in with a sex abusing family in Wexford

  3. Daisy Chainsaw

“News” source beloved of Irish racists, homophobes and conspiraloons tries to link Chernobyl charity to Pizzagate. Jaysus wept!

    1. Ian - oG

      It’s Bodgers Law.

Essentially whatever it is he is accusing others of is already being done by the people he supports and shares.

        1. Daisy Chainsaw

Nah, you just accidentally link to racist homophobes who peddle cray cray conspiracy junk!

          1. SOQ

If it is so bad then why are you here every day?

All I see is a juvenile mind at work. I think I am nice and I don’t like them so they MUST be racist and homophobic and misogynist and whatever else I don’t like.

I’ll tell you what is homophobic- just like AIDS, throwing barbed jibes at a gay man over Monkeypox- that is 100%, straight down the line, in your face, homophobia.

And that an individual then gets upset about being called out on such, is all the better.

          2. SOQ

Maybe you could tell us about him this evening or tonight after tomorrows papers go up?

They might get a bit delayed- so anytime between 1 and 4.

          3. K. Cavan

Say something about the KKK, Dolly, it reinforces my suspicion that you’re not only a clueless tool of the Establishment, brainfarting whatever George Soros tells you to but that you’re a Septic Tank.

          4. SOQ

I am an notional observation of broadsheet’s ‘papers’ and then the first timed comments.

You are whom and more importantly what Fearganainm?

You do appreciate that this is an Irish website Fearganainm?

You are more important than me in what way Fearganainm?

          5. Fearganainm

I’m an observer of your frequent spraying of non-Irish, alt-right garbage on this site.

You go through phases but most of them seem to be foreign influenced.

You should also give up on your efforts to learn more about other posters. It’s unhealthy and it’s not going to do you any good.

          6. Daisy Chainsaw

KKKCabbage, not nearly as septic as you in your incel basement, hiding from the people sticking you with the vaccine!

Not a yank, not a nordie. But you and your conspiraloonytunes pals should keep guessing. It’ll help pass the time for you.

    2. SOQ

And there is Daisy with her homophobic accusations again. WHO is homophobic?

If you are referring to The Irish Inquiry, I can state with absolute certainty that those people are far from it. If you going to make such accusations then at the very least have some evidence to back it up because otherwise you are just sloganizing the word.

        1. K. Cavan

OMG, Nigel has tried to crack a funny. Torrents of Reactionary Crap is more your style, Nige, stick with what you know.
Speaking of which, any update on the “Notorious Nazi Mercenaries” that you claim are fighting for Russia? Nobody else seems to have heard of them, most experts seem to think that the only Nazis fighting in Ukraine are the thugs you support.
I was wondering, do you reckon they’re doing it for the money or The Reich? Also, what are they actually called, since I assume they’re not calling themselves Nigel’s Notorious Nazi Mercenary Brigade?

          1. Nigel

‘Nobody else seems to have heard of them’

Kavan is pretending never to have heard of them.

          2. Nigel

You really want to play along with K ‘Great Replacement theory’ Cavan?

          3. GiggidyGoo

First link had to contain ‘neo’ of course. And blanked out faces, along with the ‘it has been reported’ line – so not verified.

Second link. ‘according to a report’. ‘His rumoured partner in crime…’ ‘Were allegedly’ So not verified

Third link ‘according to’ So not verified

Fourth link. ‘ Volodymyr Zelensky: Russian mercenaries ordered to kill Ukraine’s president. (Hardly an impartial reporter?)

Fifth link. ‘ It has been reported …’ So not verified

Sixth link. ‘ Western understanding of Wagner’s role and capacity is still incomplete at best.’ So not verified.

Seventh link. ‘ It’s also been reported’ ‘It’s been alleged’. So not verified

Eight link. ‘ according to ..’. So not verified

            Etc. etc.

So many links, yet no verification that they are operating in Ukraine.

          4. GiggidyGoo

I’ve seen unverified reports of ‘them’ in a glut of links provided by someone just proven to be susceptible to being brainwashing by the MSM.

          5. Nigel

When you have to pretend something doesn’t exist because you’re arguing on the internet.

          6. GiggidyGoo

            No pretence.
The thing is that you’ve posted a heap of links with no verified facts. And that’s your problem, not mine. You’re a sucker for MSM.

          7. Nigel

Nah, you’re just acting in bad faith to pick a fight. As usual. Have the last word, though.

        2. Kin

No Nigel the WHO are organising only something that a dictatorship would do forcing people to get a vaccine and anyone who dose not will be like loppers
Firstly the WHO needs to get its act togeather or be scrapped and a new organisation established which it’s main objective is developing vaccines and cures as pharma is restricted to just manufacturing
A good start would be demanding pharma surrender all the drugs that are out of patient instead of holding them so they can be reprofiled for other applications by drug research labs run by the new organisation

WHO are in the pocket of China and if they were not we would of known more about covid several months before the west experienced carnage from covid 19 which I can say I defiantly had in December 2019

          1. GiggidyGoo

Now you’re just being the normal childish short-arsed townie conspiraloon hun we know you to be.
            Love from italy.
            Hahahaha

    3. Kin

Yep anything that dose not fit the narrative is evil
Well fupp they narrative no matter what
At least when I die I die with knowing I was a free thinking individual not scared to speak my mind no matter the consequence

    1. Kin

Apparently we cannot get any Ukrainian refugees to work in west cork
They only want to work 9 to 5

      1. Daisy Chainsaw

How inconvenient for you that you can’t exploit them.
Have you tried offering a decent wage and working conditions?

        1. Kin

Daisy we pay twelve euro an hour mainly16 to 18 year old school kids that elsewhere are below the age to claim that wage
          We also have university kids
These kids walk out paid for 36 hours a week €400 a week after tax and tips of another €200
          A week
          Hardly exploitation
God love who you worked for
Maybe I can hazard a guess
          A bitter lemon factory
Stop tarring everyone with the same brush which you judge others by
Our chefs get paid €769 per week and on top get the tips

        1. f_lawless

Thanks for sharing GiggidyGoo. Intriguing and very troubling. Call me cynical, but I don’t trust that the Irish authorities would have the welfare of those children as their primary concern if it is the case that something untoward is afoot. I think they’d sooner move to hush everything up. Perception management of public opinion has been the highest priority since the start of this – we’re all in this together doing our bit, pat ourselves on the back, etc

          1. GiggidyGoo

Haha. Daisy now conspiring to educate herself by pictures. Try painting by numbers next.

          2. Daisy Chainsaw

You’re the conspiraloon who believes this stupidity! Taken in by 4chan… how sad and pathetic!

  4. ProfessorMark

The Ukranian couple staying wih me are gone to Georgia on holidays this week – to see family. Went to Italy last week for the weekend. Not really sure why they are here TBH. No support in other EU countries?

    1. K. Cavan

      They’re here to stay Prof.
Like all economic migrants, they’ll be handed passports in a year & a half, at most, even if that violates EU & Irish law. With so many Irish still emigrating due to the lack of jobs, housing or anything resembling a future here, replacements must be sourced, in order that the Ponzi Scheme we have instead of an economy can continue to enrich the rich.
The last few years has seen 120,000 in, 106,000 out, although many of those leaving are previous immigrants, who, once their Irish passport grants them the right to settle anywhere in the EU, decide to settle anywhere in the EU, except here.

  5. Kin

A family housed i. Ballybrack just left their accommodation
The next door neighbour to my sister in laws son lives next door
Holidays in Georgia as they seek safety in Ireland
    Are they taking the pee

    1. K. Cavan

Consider the fact, Kin, that apart from the Russians immolating billions of Euros worth of weapons, en route in Western Ukraine, all the fighting is in the East, in the Russian-speaking & ethnic Russian areas. The fact is, all these people are welcoming the Russians as liberators & even if they need to evacuate, they’ll head to Russia, not Western Ukraine, where they’ll face bigotry & violence from ordinary Ukrainians, as well as the fanatic Bandera-supporting Nazis.
The Ukrainians who are coming here are from Western Ukraine & they’re just taking advantage of the situation to get the hell out of the poorest & most corrupt country in Europe, which the CIA has turned into a Nazi-infested hell-hole, over the last few decades.

      1. Nigel

‘The fact is, all these people are welcoming the Russians as liberators’

Yes, exactly the same way the Iraqis welcomed the US as liberators.

‘which the CIA has turned into a Nazi-infested hell-hole, over the last few decades.’

        And there’s the WMDs.

      2. Nigel

‘they’re just taking advantage of the situation’

You really are quite disgusting, aren’t you?

  6. Kin

I agree and it’s going to end with either those areas independent from Ukraine with Russian protection
The land will be the industrialised heartland the oil producing area and coal minerals etc

Zelensky will have no option but to serve his people a giant *urd sandwich
I bet he dose a midnight flit

    And the iron curtain falls
Russia of course will recover a hell of a lot quicker than the recession we have to swallow with massive power outages and high energy costs
The yanks will be laughing as they make fortunes from this
Meanwhile at the french open both Russian tennis champions are playing along with Belarusian
But we’re we not told they are all banned
As stackridge says any one for tennis
