Ok, I think we’re all fine without the Daily Star. Thanks anyway.

Yep. I mean its mildly amusing but to continue to push a highly racist paper associated with the EDL on an Irish sites’ a bit rich.

2011 Richard Peppiatt, former reporter for the paper resigned citing continued support of the paper for the EDL and racist bias as reasons for leaving.
Giant crabs? Ghost children? Isn’t this World Weekly News territory?

Daily Star is beyond parody. It appears the editorial committee are having a never ending aneurism.

15p for the daily star seems about right. Who wants to read that crap.

Reminds me of the scene in Men In Black where Tommy Lee Jones says the real news is in the red tops.

More mc canns propaganda

Clifford is dead on. It is a budget with no imagination. I will ok from the budget but it is depressing after all the country been through we seemed to have learned 0. How about a grand innovative social idea. No nada. .. 1 per cent here 1 per cent there. .. Still waiting for 15 hours in A & E. Still no balance between renting and buying. … childcare costs still stopping people from working… There should be a trokia type group that identity poor politicians and public services..

You cannot unwind a €12bn correction in one budget; the absolute maximum possible was done in this budget in light of the opportunity to re-finance €20bn of IMF debt costing €1bn a year to service with market debt costing €350m a year to service. Same again for the next 5 years and life will feel a lot better, the accelerated feelgood was tried between 2004-2009 and look where it got the country.

If they were so focused on correcting the €12bn they would not be relying on trickle down economics , a philosophy we have a habit of mocking American Republicans on. This was a budget to win votes
that lacked any imagination repeating the mistakes of the past. After the elecetion there was opportunity for a new mandate , to learn from the past but this combined with the “new politics” we have seen recently feels very much in the past.

Mr. T.
Are Ireland the only country in the world that celebrates a draw as if it’s a win?
Mediocre isn’t great. It’s mediocre.

We’re gash and we held the world champions to a draw. Admittedly they were brutal, but it was brilliant when we got the goal.
You have to find beauty in small things.
