Other than political connections, what qualifications does Pat Rabitte have in terms of guiding a massive organisation with obvious challenges and failings? At best, Pat is a veteran mediocre generalist. There are armies of people better qualified in corporate governance and management.
Better too that a Board would appoint its own Chair from within its existing members/directors than political appointments being parachuted in.
