Co-Living On The Edge

at

Um.

Dublin Rental Investigator tweetz:

This property on Dorset Street was a Guest House now it’s ‘studios’ or ‘co-living’ thanks to [Minister for Housing[ Eoghan Murphy.

How many are they going to cram into 97-98 Upper Dorset Street, Dublin 1?

This is the reality of co-living.

yea it’s defo to try make a shoebox sound kinda cool. how he keeps a straight face while filming the gross tiny guest house room while calling it a studio i don’t know. goin up to the windows and showing the ‘view’ is comical, like is anyone thinkin “mm a carpark, that is a lovely view”

I looked it up on the website and they’re all minimum €1000 pm, including the triple bed room. I don’t know if thats €1000 per bed in the room or just for the room.

My 9 pounds-a-week bedsit in Rathmines in the early 1980s was one rectangular room overlooking a small garden. In a partitioned corner was a gas cooker with washbasin. A bathroom on the corridor was shared with two other bedsit renters. Heating was a plug-in electric fire. Central heating was then unthought of. I stuck it for about three years and didn’t go mad or try drugs. I never want to return to that sort of living.

  3. Gah!

Studio living or minimum security prison? That man has a neck like a jockey’s nether regions!

How would you even have the nerve to put your face to this… ‘lovely storage behind the bed (looks like it’s doubling as a headboard)

The reason why people like this TULIP will get away with this?????
Very simple – 166 TD’s in the DAIL and Quite a lot of them are Landlords themselves
    A nice little earner
A thousand euro a month to live in a SHOEBOX and the TD’s do not give a damn
The Irish Daily Mail tried to get an exact figure
A simple Question – How many TD’s were also Landlords?
They did not get a single reply and that is why Spotahome will get away with it
