Time for some good news for the Irish. Young Irish Composer Brian Byrne (above) left Navan for LA a few years ago and is now nominated for a Golden Globe for best song. Brian composed the song ‘Lay Your Head Down’ [for the movie Albert Nobbs] which was recorded by the RTE Concert Orchestra. Actress Glenn Close wrote the lyrics and Sinead O’ Connor sings. Would be nice to raise awareness of a local lad done good.
