Maura Fay, of the Irish Farmers Journal, writes:
Google and car companies across the world are spending millions developing self-drive vehicles.
However, one inventor, Michael Shannon has already done it with a Massey Ferguson MF250. If a field is digitally mapped, you can let this tractor off by itself and it’ll spread fertiliser, roll fields, etc. using GPS co-ordinates.
It can also be controlled by remote control and driven manually.
