“Our Northern brethren are being tapped for money too…” except NI Water say there’s no plans to do so. But hey, what would they know.
They may have to after 2016. With the bloc grant from London getting ever smaller year on year Stormont’s decision to completely subsidise domestic water charges in NI may become increasingly difficult. It’s completely Stormont’s choice how they allocate their budget but every time they subsidise NI water’ domestic charges they miss out on building a few new schools, or increasing the pitiful social welfare allowances in NI.
Mary Lou might have a difficult position to defend in a couple of years up north based on all her talk down here recently
Bunch hypocritical fupps… they haven’t a leg to stand on the Shinners, they’re all for privatisation up north having put the system in place to accommodate privatisation and they chase gormless gullible voters in the south telling them otherwise in order to gain votes… bunch o’ tuplips!
I’d find this an interesting headline if it was ‘NI Water denies poor water quality’ or ‘NI Water takes just a single figure percentage of Rates’. Rates is the property tax to you Mexicans.
I don’t like the ‘Mexicans’ term. However, a bit like the USA, the territory north of the border has been stolen from the nation to the south.
