There is a strong belief that politicians in the currently constituted system succeed in getting elected, not by communicating an empowering vision of a future we can achieve together, but rather by appearing to support the differing beliefs and desires of the entire electorate at once.

The image shows answers that are a superposition of the standard boolean response to true/false questions in that depending on how you look at them they could be interpreted either way.

The humour in Granty’s comment plays on the belief that politicians are two faced, lying sacks of bovine excrement and that they will expend more effort to avoid commitment than
      a) An economist asked to provide real figures for the future
      b) A horny 17 year old without a contraceptive
      c) A consultant asked for a final deployment date
