Looks like Government want a new database of people who register for the Irish Water conservation grant. pic.twitter.com/Y8fQRMDWNq

I’m more worried about the 540 million being diverted from local services to Irish Water, in the week before the Dail breaks for Summer

Yep. This explains why the amendments were not “published in good time ahead of Report Stage” as promised.
Not a mistake by the government, but just more of the sly underhand behaviour that they’re so good at.
But how else would the government know who to pay the 100 euro to. apart from giving it to every household in Ireland???
shock horror. a database.
How else can the grant be paid? You need to know those pieces of information (from IW) to ensure that the grant can be made. of course they need these details.
another non-story.
You’d like it to be a non story wouldn’t you?
Is the further 540 million for Irish Water a non story too?
Everyone is too busy watching X-Factor, Pinteresting some twee cushions, checking Facebook updates and whatever else to notice laws being changed under their noses.
People are disengaged from their Government and the Government wants to keep it that way.
Don’t forget mastrabaition.
X factor doesn’t come on for months.
All it’s, is data harvesting and not a convervation measure and wait for it, the
individual household postal code, who came up with a sneaky intrustion into
peoples privacy, this is nothing short of an invasion of citizens privacy in
effect state trespass, all postal code should provide for, is a general goegraphical
location and not a persons household…….was it Rabbitte who cooked this
up, maybe an identity code needs to be embossed on his sizeable posterior.
Yes, its truly disturbing that the government wants to know our addresses. Its only a matter of time before they march us off to the camps.
Ah yes Just Saying. Still think, its clerical mistakes? I quote “people drafting laws make mistakes, leave provisions out and try to rectify them before the Bill is passed or, if that’s too late, stick it in another Bill”. Move along nothing to see here, right?
Yeh man. ESB asked me for my address the other week. I said no way man! You just want to harvest my organs….
If you do claim the allowance wrap the form in tinfoil to stop your data leaking out…
Now another €540 million “flushed” away – when will someone have the courage to step up and end this madness?
Wednesday?
Not soon enough!
