The only people guaranteed to make money out of Irish films are the caterer and the transport driver. Actors are way down the food chain. Some of these photographed here have built their careers on the backs of actors working for free. When actors ask where the money is they are regularly told “The money’s (their wages) on the screen.”
A lot of writers get completely screwed too with the ‘we want to put all the money is on the screen’ bollocks.
