Europe.

They need YOU.

Tom Moylan writes:

The European Solidarity Corps is being launched today. It’s pretty much Europe’s version of the Peace Corps. People between 17 and 30 can sign up for volunteering and paid work experience opportunities (both in Ireland and other EU countries).

Areas to work in include working with refugees, working with the elderly, healthcare, environmental protection, arts, disaster prevention, teaching and loads of others….

Peace keeping forces are so an army. Of course they’ll mince their words to not say it so directly, it is the EU after all, it’s not like they’re an honest upfront bunch. Don’t be so naive, how can u keep trusting them after all they’ve done?

It’s not a peace keeping force you idiot. It’s a peace corps, a bunch of volunteers offering up their time to help others.

That’s a UN peacekeeping force you’re thinking of and is nothing to do with a Peace Corps which is about getting teenagers to dig latrines and experience food poisoning in developing nations.

It’s a programme letting people work for NGOs in other countries and covering their expenses – like Erasmus but for volunteers.

You’ll see in time .. Eg. Oh you’ll be helpin refugees.. Then when u get there, it’ll be policing refugees.. Not handin out blankets, but putting up fences.

Did you read it at all? Is a placement programme to work with NGOs in the EU. Nothing military at all – kind of like an EU Peace Corps

      1. ReproBertie

Nobody reads stuff Tom. They just look for headlines that might suit their prejudice and post accordingly. This says “European” and “Corps” therefore it sits nicely with the “microchipped children conscripted into the EU army” idiots that were so vocal during the last EU referendum.

Yea your just going around “vaccinating” brown people in war torn areas isn’t that right Tom

It’s volunteering with NGOs all over Europe – essentially an EU Peace Corps. Nothing actually to do with an army.

Go on. Say something about George Soros and chemtrails. I’m excited to hear how they’re involved.

This is the US version, started by JFK

Kids go abroad and do things like building houses, helping farmers, etc. It was a lefty thing mostly until the 2000s when young people from conservative backgrounds started joining. It’s a good thing in general and nothing to do with war or killing or hurting other people.
Still, ageist pigs, both in America and Europe. Why shouldn’t it be possible to take a year off from work and represent your country and the EU by helping people? Why shouldn’t it be possible to do it after retirement? Idealism isn’t ©young.

Lads, the comments here are decidedly mad today.

Very enjoyable! Keep up the good work.
