Unfortunately this is not illegal –

“A broken white line means that other vehicles can drive, load and or unload and park in them for 30 minutes during their hours of operation.”

    It’s not that bad, really.
You know, given the world’s state o’ chassis.

That Yaris inside the Virgin van is also illegally parked in the loading bay. There is paid street parking around the corner from this shop on Grattan Parade, not 50 metres away, and I guarantee you it was >80% unoccupied at the time.

Lazy, selfish, car-centric people value their own convenience higher than they do the lives and well-being of vulnerable road users such as people on bicycles.

anything that causes a hazard to a cyclist or any other road user ultimately creates a hazard for all road users

…said the motorcyclist, cyclist, pedestrian. Vulnerable road users don’t just travel by bicycle.

ah here, I saw three cyclists on footpaths today, you don’t see me snapping photos and cribbing about it.

its not a fineable offence to cycle on the footpath however cycling without due care and consideration (anywhere) is a fineablle offence. So haring along at 30K an hour along the path on O’connell street will get your collar felt by the feds.

but in that unlikely scenario, you could say “fupp off you fed cnut, you’ve no jurisdiction here” and continue on your way

am I right or am I right?

    1. Joxer

@generationScrewed …not being facetious maybe you should take photos and get them published and then the carry-on might stop…maybe it wont but sure it would do no harm

and i’m saying that as a regular cyclist

You know people talk about this so much but I never see it. What speed were they going? Did they get up on the path then dismount? How wide was the footpath? How busy? People are always talking about how they’re nearly killed by cyclists but I have almost never heard of an actual collision (though they do happen of course and I know one person who was hit by a bike).
