ugh this is racist the EU has the best interested of EVERY nation state at heart only bigoted xenophobes will say it’s a bloated corrupt monolith and is completely undemocratic in nature, so what if MEP’s have to vote in blocs? we vote for the MEP’s so it still counts as representation.

The EU isn’t perfect but it’s the best way to keep Europe integrated and peaceful. People like Juncker and Sutherland have been very damaging to it though. They never declare their true agendas of single European army and more federalism, neither of which were part of the original vision and neither of which are necessary.

The EU needs reform but it does not need dismantling. That would be disastrous and leave eastern states open to reintegration with Russia and weaken all European states economically.

The problem with the EU is the ECB. It is too powerful and shows contempt for citizens.

Only 60 year old white taxi drivers and loser xenophobes call for an Exit. Anyone with cop on and an education knows EU is our best option.

Why? TTIP is a trade agreement with Canada. It seems fair and equitable and will give both the EU and Canada more jobs and better relations with the closest liberal democracy outside the EU. Which by the way was democratically accepted by 27 members (and in Belgiums case, regions too) and the Parliament.

Impossible to hold our national politicians to account while we are in the EU…they blame Brussels diktats when it suits them.

The larger nations play by a different set of rules than the smaller nations…

Brussels offers better pensions and pay to politicians and mandarins, so when they ‘go there’ to ‘represent us’ you can be sure that the Irish cap is off and the EU cap is on.

The EU wants an army, for fupp sake, they cant agree a common deposit guarantee scheme to protect the wealth of their nations savers, but they want an army! For what…more intervention, play an even bigger role in destabilising say Africa, because that went so well last time!

The EU is a failed project, the brits have first moover advantage getting off the sinking ship, and ot wont be long before we follow them when the eu dumps all over us juat to punish them!

-Last time I checked we could vote out our politicians every four years? How on earth does the EU prevent us doing that? They blame European dictats for doing the right thing because we have such a corrupt element in our electorate who only want benefits from the state and no concept of running a shared nation based on values.
-If there is one massive success it is that the big countries are playing by the same rules. There are no rules outside the EU as the UK are about to discover.
Perhaps but when we vote for idiots like Ming, Dana, Paul Murphy and Kathy Sinnott that’s to be expected.
-All well and nice when you are on the Western Seaboard of Europe with the UK and USA defacto protecting us but there are EU nations that are right against Russia, the Med and other threats. The fake neutrality in this country needs to be called out in a increasingly unstable world.
-The EU is probably the most historically beneficial project the world has ever seen in terms of peace, prosperity, human rights, education and pretty much every area it has control. That’s no hyperbole. The likes of yourself would be laughed off in normal times but the reality we have seen in the US and UK is that fact free loons are a threat to liberal democracy.

Good question ! It’s a retrospective answer at this stage post Lisbon Treaty + Banking fiasco & especially post Brexit ? But @ this stage & being of the no to Lisbon variety . I would have to say we are stuck with that need for an umbilical link for now ! We should work away on a 32 County Republic & strenghten ourselves as members by seperating from the Corporate Europe & live by our means without any assistance from outside & then maybe an Éiramach shall happen ??
