Are there not people in Irish hospitals in the same predicament, so is this a HSE-funded operation abroad because they don’t have the funding/resources to perform that operation here? Who is paying the cost? It’s going to be several hundreds of thousands of dollars if not more… a lot more than a GoFundMe collection of 90,000….

Patrick it’s often helpful to read before firing your question shotgun. She’s been living in New York for a while, which was where she suffered long failure, which would mean she couldn’t fly back to Ireland. Her health insurance is covering the transplant, the fundraising is for the extra stuff, like aftercare
