‘Gwan the women’s hockey team. I can hear the old bandwagon starting up the engine…

    1. Yep

Ye know, at first I thought “well if keeps them away from children…” but after some thought I think I’m back to my original opinion of chemical castration.

Connor has his haters but I don’t dislike the man. He might act in an arrogant, flamboyant and disrespectful way but he is a product of the way the world is not the cause of it.

His influence is helping shape a generation of young men. So sorry that argument doesn’t work.

I have a friend with 2 teenage sons going to different balls and dances and she’s adamant that any suits they buy will not be check patterned because of McGregor.

Is his influence shaping them to believe that hard work and dedication pay off?

Or is the arrogant idiot side they’re lapping up?

The UK Independent leading the charge on behalf of the filth in Britain’s Parliament… subverting the will of the people. They won’t get away with it in Britain… They are not as easily led as the Irish people are in terms of a 2nd referendum. This rightfully lead to riots on the street against the filth in charge if they don’t implement the democratic wish of the people. Not gonna be too much longer now either before the Irish people will take to the streets and riot over the filth in charge here.

      Democracy? UK?
Where the head of state got the job from her daddy?
And one is born into the upper house of parliament?
      democratic!

Which version of leaving the EU did the people vote for? Nobody knows. It makes sense to put the options to the people. The British Electoral system means that elections rarely reflect the will of the people. They have been getting away with it, forever. The Irish were smart enough to get out. Of course, the British didn’t respect the “will of the people” of Ireland back then and divided the country.

      1. Ollie Cromwell

Well the version of Leave I voted for was to leave the EU’s single market and customs union, take back control of borders and remove the ECJ’s authority over British courts.
The option was clearly spelled out in HM government’s Brexit leaflet sent to every household in the UK in which it said the outcome on the vote would be respected.
And which 80% of the voters in the last general election voted for.
This People’s Vote nonsense accompanied by Project Fear 2:0 is the last Soros-funded throw of the dice by the Continuity Remoaners.
I think you’ll find Blighty is made of sterner stuff than the Irish electorate who rolled over and had their Lisbon Treaty referendum tummy tickled by a Gallic midget.

          1. Ollie Cromwell

            We shall see Quentin.
But at the moment both main political parties have ruled out a second referendum and No Deal is increasing in likelihood which suits me perfectly.
            I’m as happy as Larry.

          2. Nigel

Oh yeah I’d say a few Brexiteers and cronies are arranging their finances to make a quick killing off the chaos caused by a No Deal. Thanks a few million, peasants! Things might get better for you in fifty years give or take! Ration those stockpile carefully now they’ll have to last you while we swill champagne in Caribbean tax havens!

          3. Ollie Cromwell

A chap would be a fool not to arrange his finances according to whatever he thinks might happen in the near future, particularly if he thinks he might attract a pecuniary advantage.
I’m handily placed for most eventualities although I expect a bumpy journey in the short to near term.
Interestingly despite two years of continued Project Fear 2:0 I doubt we’d see much difference in the polls if the referendum was run again.
            Which it won’t be.
Like the dark shame of Lisbon 2 that turned Ireland into a laughing stock.
Was it really 10 years ago this month that the strutting martinet told Ireland what to do ?
            https://www.irishtimes.com/news/ireland-will-have-to-vote-again-on-lisbon-says-sarkozy-1.945091

          4. Nigel

You’ve referred to Ireland as a laughing stock in a few comments now. If you weren’t following the news you could tell from this that Britain is currently a laughing stock over Brexit. Also, that you’re scared of a second referendum. But ‘Brexit will be great for shady redatory capitalists’ rings true.

MPs in 2016: Do you want to leave the EU?
British people: Yes, we’d quite like to be a self governing nation.
MPs at the GE: Yes but are you sure you want to?
            British people: Yes quite sure.
MPs in 2018: I really think we better ask people a third time just to make sure

          6. Nigel

Of course not! The predatory capitalists and their cronies pushing this disaster won’t let it! Corporate feudalism ahoy!

          7. Ollie Cromwell

            Experts,eh ?
The American economy is booming, as figures released today show US GDP grew by a scorching 4.1% in 2017. Employment rates are the best they have been for decades, black and hispanic employment rates are the best they have been in decades. Each percentage point is equivalent to three trillion dollars, and ten million jobs.
Before his election, ‘experts’ predicted precisely the opposite.
Moody’s said Trump’s policies would cause a “3.5 million lost jobs” and a “lengthy recession”.
Billionaire Mark Cuban said he had “no doubt in [his] mind” that the stock market would “tank”.
Citigroup said Trump winning could herald a “global recession“.
Former US Treasury Secretary Larry Summers predicted a “protracted recession to begin within 18 months” of a Trump win.
Forecasting firm Macroeconomic Advisers estimated a stock market crash of 8%.

          8. Nigel

Was that reply to me? Trump’s still coasting on the Obama recovery. Let’s see how it goes when his corporate giveaway tax cuts and incipient trade wars really bite.

        1. Nigel

‘Also you get to be racist and abusive to the paddies who welcome you to their country because they have the cheek to find the shambolic processa pure holy show!’

        2. longfella

          That’s exactly it
          And who can blame them
The EU caused this and lets face it Europe dream under the EEC was not what we have now
We have an unequal Europe where Germany dictates
And since the UK voted out any reform od Europe being talked about has not even started
Europe is beyond reform and 27 nations or26 nations now cannot even put together a plan to deal with the migrant problem which is destroying the EU
As for brexit the EU will not agree anything the UK comes up with except deals that will destroy the UK
So there will be no deal
The end will make life impossible for Ireland never mind the UK
I see a new trading block
The USA the UK and the British commonwealth

          1. ReproButina

            “The EU caused this”
Explain how, remembering that you’ve been told several times about how the EU gave Cameron concession after concession after concession back when he was British Taoiseach but before he gave in to the euroskeptics in Derrylondon and gave them their referendum.

          2. longfella

            What concessions Bertie ?
Name them as far as I remember none were got?
Also name the EU negotiators and what they got to enhance the GFA
I am sure you have all the actual facts at hand as you quote utter garbage
Also like all British people want the same
Jobs holidays retirement a home and a decent life

I have a contract with FB and have supplied and fitted Network Cabling since they arrived in Dublin. I started with them in NY in the naughties :) They give me enough business to keep 2 vans and 4 installers busy.

      No, that chart is showing relative value since 9 July. Both Netflix and Facebook have lost ~15%;
But Netflix is ‘only’ work about (quick calculation) 130bn; while Facebook is still about, what, $700bn?

      1. Andyourpointiswhatexactly?

What happened to Netflix? I’m too stupid to read anything but headlines these days.

Did the NTMA get it at the top !
This YOUR money its disgrace what the NTMA is doing.

“The landlord is an entity called the DAD Property fund. The State has invested €8m via an entity known as the ISIF – formerly the National Pensions Reserve Fund.

The landlord is using an exemption in the legislation to impose 6pc rent hikes on tenants. The landlord says it is entitled to do this because the property is a new-build development.”

“Did the NTMA get it at the top !

            WTF?

          3. Johnny

The NTMA has invested YOUR money in another Mickey Mouse, get rich quick slumlords scheme ripping off tenants-it’s a disgrace and they should be hauled before the PAC to explain.

  4. ReproButina

What are you talking about? What reason am I supposed to state? I asked you to explain your statement that the EU caused this. You ignored it and claimed you couldn’t remember Cameron getting concessions. I provide a link (there are at least a dozen articles in various newspapers if you just google Cameron EU Concessions) and that’s your response?

Back up your claim david or are you all mouth and no trousers as usual?
